As a kiwi i salute aussie for the win. Hopefully it brings back some interest in the game over there. The All Blacks have become a brand over here, so commercialized i find it hard to watch them anymore. They won't win the World cup, i doubt they will make final to be fair. Holding onto to many old players and haven't done anything to freshen their approach.

@@nickb4356 I agree but the sideline judge was right there and was not signaling for a forward pass. It's becoming like traveling in the NBA, they just don't seem to enforce forward passes properly. A "flat pass" is forward most of the time because if it looks straight coming out of the hands of a guy who is running forwards then the ball is also moving forwards over the ground.

I'm neutral too. Ignore the other player, it looked to be thrown in a backwards direction. Anyway it's irrelevant. Would've been nice to see the red card since it would've been a whole different game without it.
I'm a wallabies fan but next game is in Eden Park. Wallabies may have won at home but we have a horrible track record against NZ at Eden Park. Wallabies have not defeated NZ at Eden Park since 1986, so to all my wallabies fans please don't get to ahead of ourselves we all know the real test is the next game.

This stadium seems to be lucky for the wallabies as it ain’t easy to beat a all blacks team so excellent performance by the wallabies let’s just hope that they can bring this performance to the World Cup.

Good game wallabies, too good for us in this game. I don't think we would have won even with 15 players. I think there are 5 teams that have a legitimate chance of winning the world cup.

As an all blacks fan ..... well done Australia. I miss the days when your team gave the all blacks some legendary competition. I hope this is a sign of a return of those days which would awesome for world rugby to see such two fierce teams go at it like the Sydney game in 2000.

Apparently so. Won't get carried away due to the red card but even before the Wallabies were super competitive and testing the ABs. They did what they had to in the second half. Will take this and think about selection challenges for Eden Park next week.

This years RWC promises to be one of the very best, what with the Pumas showing their claws, the Boks raising alot of dust, the Wallabies getting 'airborne' once more, and the Blossoms of Japan beginning to bloom fully' : not to mention the forces from up North getting ready to head East. However, it would be extremely naive to imagine ,for one moment, that the men in black will take this resounding loss lightly, or, that their canny, ring-wise management will do likewise. Great to see the wallabies back, even though im a kiwi we need our competitors strong, id love for them to win the Bledisloe we've had it way too long. Great to see them do well without a certain controversial player that thinks he is bigger than the game and recently sacked too.

Great passion from Wallabies
The question with playing Beauden Barrett at full back is whether he can score more points than he allows with his indifferent (see 3.04) tackling. It's one thing sending him out to the wing in defence when he is playing at fly half but, at full back, his defensive frailties are more than exposed. The return match should be interesting with Jaco Peyper refereeing, guaranteed that there will be some very iffy decisions.
Australia looked pretty formidable and played superbly in this first bledisloe cup series game.
So when they played the second game of the series I had to be there as the game was played in my home town Akld Eden Park. It rained on and off, a group in front kept coming, going and shouting all sorts of dumb s... a-holes. I was glad the ABs came out fighting that night dominating the game from start to finish.
That was the only game of the ABs I enjoyed watching that year as they pissed me off at the world cup.
Why is the 2nd test that is uploaded from this account have NZ commentary? Very weird... I was looking forward to hearing from them Ozzie commentators. Sour grapes maybe?

The overall goal is the world cup and its good that Australia won this match.
Most of the rugby public over here in NZ are pretty magnanimous about that well-deserved win by the Wallabies. It means this World Cup is looking more open than in a lot of previous years, which can only be good for the game.

This was the game where I remember thinking "So World Rugby not only shifted the offside line in a World Cup year, they´ve also tweaked the margin for what´s considered a forward pass?" Nearly every scoring sequence of play in the first half featured at least one marginally forward pass, and the leadup to AB´s second had two. So it proved into the World Cup, with some passes so outrageously forward you´d think they´d been deliberately training to throw them. Strange how the laws have subsequently reverted, with Akira Ioane´s potential match-winner against Ireland chalked off for being marginally forward out of Reiko´s hands. I guess the rugby powers were determined to do anything if it benefitted England´s game-plan that year, and yet Eddie´s men still couldn´t win.
Aussie too good for us today in all facets of the game.... can't see how we are to turn it around in one week. If Aussie can beat us at Eden Park, then they can beat us anywhere... I'm worried but perhaps we needed a good ass-wipping - and it was an ass-wippin, to get us into gear and perhaps even play our best players in their actual positions e.g. Barrett at 10 Smith at 15.
