I have this baja! You must go at least 19/53 gears or higher, you will be amazed! I put Redcat MT 8 1/2 inch monster truck tires on back, 2 1/2 pounds each, and it still wheelies strong and outruns all the other bajas at my field! Just awesome when you gear taller. The 2 "dogleg" levers in the "easypull start" do not like dirt. Just drill a small hole in starter cover so you can tap it loose with a skinny screwdriver, only need to do one. Also just tapping hard on the cover will often let them spring back to position.
I think the 45cc motor has problems with cooling and lubrication. Oil mix 25to1 sometimes stuck, so I haven't had any trouble so far after switching to 15to1. I think that a slightly darker one is better because the number of rotations is also high. Someone was trying 50to1, but not enough oil. Since there is no follow-up after that, I think it's probably broken. I think that it is important whether the 2-stroke is not burnt.
BTW, these bajas from Fearless rc are lipo ready even tho they don't say it. Fearless confirmed this, I did it on mine. Got a 3000 ma 2s for $20 on ebay and it works great. Also is 6 ounces lighter!
I just got the 45cc myself. Do you know if they make a pull start with the vents already in the case? I hear that's why they run hot because of no vents.
Hey, I just bought this one. I always check temps and it's always under temp. To be honest I don't know if they came out with a new pull start for it, sorry.
Nice video But I think blue lock tight is ok in most parts because if you used red lock tight , it is going to be hard for you to tire it down for service. at least this time I see the one is much more faster than their rally car. I think transferring that engine to the rally car can be more fun for the rally car to drive.
Most screws would get too hot for the blue loctite that's why most people use red loctite. I also have a torch so if it''s too hard I torch it and it comes right out. This engine is pretty good, I just got new high speed gears and it's a lot faster.
SOOOOO ANNOYING !! Mine was the first rip, turned it off to test the kill switch and was failing right away. but I bought that cover and tested it this weekend and stuck a bunch of grass between the engine and dif and nothing, started on the first pull. It's a must !
In case your still looking, Fearless rc sells this with a 36cc with radio for $550 delivered! And the 36 pulls HARD! I have both. The baja that comes with the 45cc in it is a bunch more, but has some good upgrades, If you can afford it , that's the way to go.

Awesome brother, thank you for the input !
I replaced the cheap Baja with a ROVAN 45cc motor and made it almost the same specification. I think the best oil premix ratio for 45cc is about 15:1.
15:1 wayyyy too much oil
