I’ve got the Rovan 5TS with the 45cc engine. It’s a fricking beast, 2 years and still running strong 💪 I broke it in with a 50:1 ratio and have had no issue.

hey dude! So far I've driven basic Bajas with regular steering and 2 Bajas with the "symmetrical" steering installed. My overall imprression is that symmetrical steering offers a much better turning radius but tends to spin out ALOT in turns, while the basic steering setup has a terrible turning radius but tends to hold a drift well at speeds.

Not when spektrum offers 250, but what ever. The looks of those are so dated now too. They actually remind me of a 1990's car stereo head unit. lol Great RTR gasser. I like it.
71cc but you have to get the engine separately btw some silencers make your car lose power and speed so always check for anyone who is new to petrol rc
Is the Alu roll cage solid Alu or hollow Alu? The hobao hyper cage is the worst rc in history because the hollow cage breaks first time you flip (and it gets filthy in 5 seconds)
Haha. Yes!! Good point. From what I heard the owner has ordered a rear wheelie bar for this Baja, it’s a great idea because these pipes are very exposed in the rear the wheelie bar provides the only useful protection you can get for this chassis.

It seems that car is sliding out because the diff might be tight. If you hold the brake and turn one rear wheel forward the other should turn the opposite way quite easily.

RC airplane guy here.. can you set dual rates on a surface radio like you can an airplane radio? If so you might be better off with that so you can switch to high rates for tight turns and run low rates for speed runs instead of a full time turning radius limit.
yes my dude, it sure is. In fact I have an older video on this channel where I tower an entire Christmas tree with only a stock 30CC baja. So trust me, even 30CC is plenty enough. The gas engines got tons of power for towing.

Reverse the steering channel. Prob figured it out by now but i have to reverse throttle and steering with my baja 5b using spektrum receiver and spektrum dx5c rugged when i change from any other rc model i drive. Of course reversing servo varies from transmitter models to model

Anyways Bajas tend to have pretty terrible steering but there is an upgrade many people do which is called "Symmetrical Steering". I've never done it myself, but it makes for a tiger turning radius due to different linkages and linkage setup. This baja has very tight turns while my own non-symmetrical steering baja has a very WIDE turn.

Get the cheapest one it's the best deal. Most of stuff you pay for in those "better" Baja's is useless aluminium parts. And actually much worse engine. Their small 29cc engine is decent. 45cc is useless and slow and overheats like biatch
Yes the suspension arms are a NYLON plastic material and that is 100% what you want. They provide some flexibility and will be easy and cheap to replace if needed. Trust me, there is a reaoson why the arms are not aluminum.

Well they are now main fifth scale petrol producer so.... Yes quality could be better but they kinda saved fifth scale... Idk if anybody noticed but nowadays you can get pretty much only rovan, and few other clones companies like 30dnt or km but still, it's mostly rovan. In whole Europe you can get only rovan
So they actually did more good to fifth scale industry than Hpi and łosi combined. It's law of market. They were overpriced and lost market to better priced and well distributed rovan. And if you ask me it's good thing. They were too greedy. I like hpi but not in fifth scale, parts and car prices were out of this world

I broke it in with a 50:1 ratio and have had no issue.
50:1 is thin, depending on the purity of the oil. I'm at 20:1.
@@redsmagic4907 I run 32/1 whitout any issue. Maby for the brake in i would go 25/1.

I had to reduce the amount of travel the steering servo gets to keep it going straight. I have mine at about 45%

The Baja 5B has a poor design around the brakes. Gears and shafts can be damaged by excessive force. I replaced the hospital wheel with disc brakes.
