I hated the 5.9 since day one, a lot of tuning issues. I feel like its the go to engine for the xl man.

Yeah, I took it off right away. I got the big red and then switched to the lrp then the car kept breaking and sold it. Now I bought an old XL and fully converted it to gt6.

@@NitroRcDr interesting, yea I've read that the new batches of hpi stuff were much worse quality, whatever factory they moved to is a downgrade good thing i have an older xl. ill get an lrp32 if i can find one if not then a big red

@@robbiebartlett9572 No man, I did the same motor mounts and same losi flywheel/clutch setup. my advice would be to do the TLR flywheel/clutch setup 2 metal, 2 carbon clutches. That video is old, now I own 2 tlr kits, a 2.0 and an XT and those tlr flywheels are the best. Also there are better engines for the price, Dynamite has a .21 that comes without pullstart that's track grade, also HS has some good engines too and affordable. I feel like the lrp was good but I wanted more punch.

Yeah, I ended up selling it because it kept breaking. I bought a losi 8ight XE and a losi 8ight XT both with AD3s. Ill be posting some vids soon. Im rebuilding a Jato now and will post a vid. Ive been out of the youtube game for a while because of my job but will be posting something this week most likely.

Hey man, what's up. That's great that you got that find ! I sold that truggy a long time ago, I bought a savage and came with that pipe, I think the pipe is cool and all but not worth the price, it's a $200 pipe, you can get good pipes for bashing for way cheaper than that. To be honest I can't remember how I got it tuned, I tune by ear, but all I can remember is that this engine was a little hard to tune because it's the one with 3 needles. You can get an OS pipe or a Reds tuned pipe for like $100 and you will get the same results 100% !!

@@NitroRcDr dang bro that's awesome I really appreciate your response sucks that you sold of it Austin that you got a new one that definitely a badass little truck anyway I hope you have a great day and I actually started to get it tuned yesterday and then because of the first time I ran it I didn't realize the carb slide was a little bit marred up or burned up it locked the throttle and really burnt the clutch so I take it out and I run it yesterday get it tuned and I'm almost got it tuned perfectly and the clutch goes I got another clutch but I haven't had a chance yet to put it on today so I appreciate it and I'm going to look into one of those reds or OS pipes I'm actually looking into a red or OS engine Even though I like this it's just a little tough to tune but like I said I mean oh I didn't say it in this post but I've been doing this for 25 years I'm a ASE certified Master tech that's retired and all i worked on all my life is two stroke dirt bikes and two-stroke scooters and moped and a little bit of nitrous here and there and honestly all an iter is a two-stroke diesel that runs on nitromethane alcohol and oil well methadone , oil, but you know what I mean. anyway have a great day and a great life bro and maybe we'll chat on here again but again thank you and have a good one man.

Man, the stock engine has a horrible idle and tune. I don't know if it was because I bought it on the first batch but I wouldn't take a tune. I ended up selling it. I also sold the truck, kept breaking and I didn't want to keep spending money, I broke, the brakes, the transmission, differentials, servo burnt etc... Horrible quality, I got into track cars now.

In case your still looking, Fearless rc sells this with a 36cc with radio for $550 delivered! And the 36 pulls HARD! I have both. The baja that comes with the 45cc in it is a bunch more, but has some good upgrades, If you can afford it , that's the way to go.

It comes with it already, if you look in the center of the pullstart, it has a hex. All you need to buy is the losi hex rod and you're good to go.

@NitroRcDr where did you purchased it? All I see with pullstart.

Big Red, it's a lot easier to tune.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I try not to use it on the road because of that.

Simple green, and I always hose them down, then I spray silicone lube, I have a vid in may channel, check it out.
