- So, I never wanted this video to be made, but I just feel like I can’t be silent on this topic any longer. DanCo, a prominent RUclipsr within the comic book, nerd culture and power scaling community has been caught plagiarizing prolifically.
A fellow RUclipsr within the community recently posted a video exposing DanCo for what he’s been doing which is stealing the words from other writers and using them to pump out content he really has no clue about.
Over the course of Tylearn’s investigation, he found multiple videos that DanCo copied word for word from various publications including:
Nerdist, Polygon, Screen Rant, Game Rant, CBR, The Ringer, SlashFilm, Looper, IGN, Chillopedia, MovieWeb and Fiction Horizon

To clarify - I did reach out to DanCo via email, Discord, RUclips video comments, and his community post. I did not receive a single response as of the publishing of this video.

As both a widower and a pharmacist that once worked at an Oncology, words can not express how disgusted I am with this "man."
With his posts (the Disney trips, the concerts, the pro sports games)... there is NO WAY that he is having the "troubles" that he claims to be having. I would bet money that he has not lost anyone, nor is he suffering any financial hard fall.
The saying "shit flows down hill" is true. Karma will find him, one way or another.

he could’ve avoided all this by just properly citing his sources, most people don’t like to read nowadays so no one would have judged him for regurgitating information for viewers and linking where he’s receiving said information
Thats what I was thinking. All you would have to add is a credit page or show credit to where you got the information on screen with the images, and then post links in the description. Just treat it like a high school or college/university paper.

There’s way too many people on this platform who receive their information differently that he should have just cited sources and gave a quick shout at the end of the video. Some people like just straight information, some want the personality with it.
This was something that I learned in school over many years & I don’t think they teach it anymore. I’m not totally surprised it was something he did & given our current cultural attitude of no one ever apologizing for anything and no one wants to take responsibility for anything anymore.

I watched Dan's videos for years but upon this revelation I immediately dropped my support which is a big shame as I was a big supporter of his for many years. Glad to see a big RUclips finally call him out on this.

I think the next problem is realizing how little the average viewer cares to check sources. Like it is what it is, but I get the feeling someone is gonna learn how to cover their tracks better, all to claim originality.

@@bunkerman_who_digsthey already have. 95% of those a.i voice channels that give facts, news, lists, etc are all plagiarized. Alot of those channels have a million + subs too. It's a HUGE problem in many corners of youtube.

This guy DANCO is a joke. I’ve been following him for a couple years and he will say anything to make Marvel characters best DC characters no matter how ridiculous the matchups are. Like Thor vs Superman. I’m a fan of Thor but he loses to Superman.
Yep. I stopped listening to him when he was downplaying the feats of characters from DC like Darkseid in his match ups and I was like okay this dude is a complete Marvel fanboy. At least jobbers and goons is unbiased for the most part in his videos on these discussions.

I’d recon that he wants his fans to believe he “payed” (literally in this case) for his mistakes. That is at best a smoke screen.
The saddest part, as the story is unfolding here, is this guy is clearly a conman. Be wary of folks who tell you the positive things they are.. like a “good person” or “not a thief” or whatnot. If you’re a good person people will see it because of your actions not because you want it to be true so badly that you say it over and over.. it’s like they are trying to convince themselves maybe?

I often wondered why I got deja vu when I watched his videos, I just chalked it up to a glitch in the Matrix or Mandela Effect but I did see his content prior to his uploads, I'm not crazy, DanCo's crazy. I feel so relieved.

sorry to hear this bro, was kinda 50/50 on danco before this as he was never the best at powerscaling and answering who would win in a fight scenarios but some of his vids he made good points but hearing he plaigerized so much just shows even more he doesnt have much talent and proceeded to keep plaigerizing even after he was given a chance to TRULY apologise and do better

The sad part about this is that I called on to this years ago. If you notice in a lot of his videos, he will never give explanation on why someone wins. Usually no fates or thoughts, just his opinion As someone who likes comic books I could tell there was something off about him. I just couldn't say what. He honestly just didn't seem too knowledgeable about what he was talking about.

@@KeyIssues That really sucks, this man was a huge part of my child hood, I've been watching him since the 3rd grade and I'm in 8th grade now, so I've been watching him for 5 1/2 years so it really sucks to learn that he's literally the green goblin, taking credit for what he didn't make. I don't want to say "How dare you!" because I too have said I'd do better than turn around and fall back into bad habits, but I was just hoping that he meant what he said when he apologized. Guess I was wrong.
