Excellent and great work. I did the same method, but I did not get% of the rubber tire in my country. I only got the sizes of the opening larger. How do I get it from any country
Man those dinky bolts with the wing nuts will not adequately hold someone in the seat in the event of a serious roll over or impact. The G forces involved with either are quite massive and frequently overlooked/underappreciated . Those bolts will sheer off In a heartbeat and I'd hate to see someone get hurt due to such a silly oversight. I would personally either use at the very least a 1/2" thick carriage bolt with lock washer or nylon lock nut or more desirable would be to loop the whole strap around the post and then feed the strap through itself...in which case you aren't relying on a bolt at all to keep you or your loved one in the seat.....just my two cents.. not trying to be an ass just something I though. Otherwise nice build and kart
What exact copper sleeve did you use for the top and bottom of the steering rod? ID and OD Dimensions? My steering on my Yerf is exactly like yours and it rattles like crazy and makes a racket! Looking to fix it!
Bunting Bearings CB101212. Sorry for taking so long to reply, not sure how i missed it when posted. I ended up cutting the bearing length-wise. That allowed it to slim down a tad. There are a ton of sizes for these. Still works well.
sick ride do you have a how to build our own on it =) would love to hear dimensions and such if you built it urself =) thanks for video gonna try and copy off ya.
I have not built a complete kart from scratch. There is one other video I have on youtube about the engine and getting the torque converter installed on it. For the install of that engine, just slide it back enough to leave a 1/2" gap before the rear bumper bar. Then line up the gears and mark your holes.
No issues with wheels coming off. I do have nylon locking nuts. On one side, the threads had an NPT-like taper from after cleaning up the siezed nut/threads. For that side i made a set-screw through the sidewall of the nut. The kids do donuts with no issues.
I like that kill switch idea

Thanks, Craig. I will upgrade to stronger bolts with some nylon nuts.

Do your wheels come off? I just bought a new live axle kit and wheels to fix that issue, boy oh boy.
