Love my A2S and can find no legit reason to spend my hard earned money to upgrade to the newest trendy bling. The A2S will do pretty much everything the average UAV pilot/photographer needs. But if you feel the need for the latest bling, hey, it's your money.
Honedtly am in the same boat...I have an air2s and because of all the new drones coming out I feel I may need an upgrade...but thing is i fly mine with an 11 inch samsung monitor and its amazing am not a fan of these controllers with screens tbh also flew it 2 days ago and it was completely still and stable and responsive and I love the images...the only upgrade I feel is the mavic3 or 4 thats due to come out
There are tons of features the air 3s has that the air 2s has. You are buying a drone, not just a camera. The main cameras are close enough. A second lense, better obstacle avoidance, better tracking, better RTH, better flight time, better top speed.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, the new version is not for everyone but I think that the upgrades are worth the trade off with the photo and video capabilities.
Thank you for this review. I was about to pull the trigger on an Air 3 for my first drone when the Air 3s was revealed. I feel like I made the right choice with the Air 3s.
Nobody seems to mention that the air 2s has it's SDK released while the air 3 series does not. As of now, the most advanced consumer drone available for third party apps like mapping and 3D photogrammetry like Drone Deploy is still the DJI Air 2s. The Mavic 3E is just too expensive for at least 4x the price
Your videos are highly biased. It feels like you are reading a script given straight from DJI. If you delete the words "huge upgrades" from the script, you might get somewhere. This is not even a true comparison between those drones, it's like reading a table of features for each one of them. True comparison comes with samples, which others did, and which so little to no difference in most cases... making DJI AIR 3S a minor upgrade. If you are on Air 2S, i'd say it is a good step up to go to Air 3S, but not because of quality... but because of flight performance. If you are already on Air 3, no point spending money...

Finally a comparison with the Air 2s. Wish 3s had true 20mp and 5k filming. Guess DJI wanted to funnel prosumers toward mavic 3/upcoming 4 :/

O have the air 2 for years and its still amazing. Also does the air 3s have the ability to detect other aircraft like the air2?
The Air 2 is still a great drone! The Air 3S does have AirSense and can detect aircraft.
Thanks for this video. I had the same questions, especially about the Air 2S 20mp, compared to the Air 3S 12/50mp sensors, as a photographer.
Yes, not a major improvement for photos but the battery life, intelligent flight modes, obstacle avoidance, zoom lens etc are huge upgrades.

Thanks mate! The Mavic 3 is still a top tier drone, the Air range is a strong competitor but the Mavic range is the prosumer power house.
