- The DJI Air 3s launched mid October and so far it's one of my favorite drones. However, to get the most out of it you'll need to change some settings. In this video I go over the best settings I've found for creating cinematic footage.

Just a tip, if u don’t want to change any of the sharpening or noise in video production, a good combo is -1 on the sharpening and 0 on the noise! 👍🏻
@@Ross_in_wiltshire Good tip! For the most part I just leave the sharpness at -2 and don't end up touching it in post. But I like my footage a little on the soft side haha
@ yeah I did that but found that close up the edges looked a little too soft! So tried -1 and it was perfect! That way I get both soft with a little sharpness… but that’s the beauty of shooting video is very subjective;) what doesnt look so good to someone else looks perfect to someone else;) if u get me… but all in all i love my drone! Always been a fan of the air series and always will be! Such a power house 💯👌🏻

thanks for the video man, I just got this drone, but didnt have time to film with it. I filmed with an Air 2 in my last youtube video in a very windy condition.

Great but I have question for bit odd usage,we can fly it to take shoots but Can I use it as All in one camera I mean using Air 3s 24mm lens for recording Talking head studio shoots by using it at any gimble, using it as webcam etc so that I should never be in need of any other camera.
@@husratmehmood2629 I mean you can hit the record button when it's not flying. I don't think you can get video out from USB though. So I doubt a webcam setup would work. But for the price of this you could almost pick up a Sony A6700 and it would be miles ahead of the camera on the air 3s.
@@SamKarpFPV thank you , appreciation for your honest suggestion. I agree with Sony A6700 but it cost $1700 now, there are better option available like using the DJI action 5 Pro or Dji Pocket 3 etc.
@husratmehmood2629 fair enough! I was basing the pricing off the fly more combo and that brings it much closer to the 6700. It completely depends on your use case. Between those two I'd go with the pocket 3 every time

From where did you took the info that Sharpness -2 is leaving details but is not processing in drone the extra sharpness?
As far as I know, in fact is blurring with a Gaussian, killing the small fine details that were already killed by the lower bitrate....

@@geodrone7643 maybe I should've included an example in the video but I didn't have the time. From what I've seen through davinci resolve adding a small amount of sharpening brings the image back almost exactly to what it looks like at 0 sharpness. From what I've seen no details are lost.

That's really strange. You checked in the same menu I showed on camera?
Hello, I have a mini 4 pro and air 3s.
Gimbal setting up and down movement. I only want to set the smoothness, but it doesn't work. Cine and Sports modes follow the Normal mode settings. Each setting cannot be configured.
Hey that's a great question! Looking at my controller for the Air3s it looks like you can adjust gimbal smoothness by going into settings, control, then scroll down to Gain & Expo Tuning. From there you should be able to adjust Gimbal Tilt Smoothness and speed for each flight mode. Hopefully that helps!
@@SamKarpFPV thank you. i know. The problem is that when the gimbal is set to normal mode, Cine and Sports modes move at the speed set in normal mode... something seems to be missing. Mini 4 Pro and Air 3s have the same problem.
@@l4hslee44 That's very strange. I can't say I've had that issue. Have you tried contacting DJI support?
@@SamKarpFPV I haven't inquired yet. I find it strange that two drones have the same symptoms. So I was curious if other people had the same symptoms. So I wanted to know if I did something wrong or made a mistake.
It's strange that the Mini 4 Pro and Air 3s have the same symptoms at the same time. thank you
