I’m not sure which two series’ you mean? There are the Pro, the Mini and the Air drones. They just updated the air 3 with an Air 3s (though I’m not sure what the ‘s’ stands for..)
Nice. Stubborn air 2 owner here as well. Only thing I wish is that they had included a 20mp camera at least. Otherwise, the airframe is perfect on the 3s
I think your 60 fps is more The Hobbit than Tony & Chelsea (Grey hair similarities aside). I'm pretty impressed with the advancements in drone tech the past few years. Now, if we could just put a man on the moon, I'd be really impressed.
Hahaha, I’ll take it. Although I definitely DID NOT enjoy that aspect of watching The Hobbit in theaters. It’s really funny how a higher frame rate, which should look closer to real life, just makes things look more fake. I’ve heard that Artimis program is having some pretty major setbacks making a moon base. What a bummer. Like, they could do it before when the ship computer had the power of a calculator, but now that we have the power of ten billion calculators it’s just too tough!
Why all reviewers of air3s not talking the Vertical or Portrait Video Mode? That's the trend today for social media like facebook tiktok etc. Vertical video is very important if how air 3s can compete the true vertical video on Mini 4 Pro.
WOW! I didn't even know that was a feature. It looks like it's just a crop, so it's not like the camera turns sideways to shoot native vertical, but still - I can't believe I didn't even see that in the settings. Thanks.
@NicholasJamesJohnson Can you review air 3s vertical video mode? If how it looks like? How is it great? I think the maximum resolution is 2.7k only in 9:16 (vertical).. It can be found by changing the resolution at the last. No reviewers in youtube as of now is talking about vertical video. It's a trend today in social media (vertical video). Kindly elaborate that if how it handles the quality especially when we upload video in facebook, tiktok, etc in vertical mode right out of the air 3s without editing and cropping. I know you can shoot 4k landscape mode but you have to crop it in post. All I want to see is the air 3s built in setting 2.7k vertical (9:16).. I do have air 2s, and it's hard for me to shoot in 4k 16:9 (landscape) and edit in post to crop and make it in vertical video (9:16). It takes a lot of time and sometimes it compromises my shots. In air 2s there is no setting like vertical video. If you enlighten me about this, probably I will upgrade my Air 2s to Air 3s.. By the way I am from Philippines, found your video interesting.. Keep it up..
@@travelmaker. I just turned it on to see the mode - and yeah, its 2.7k and its a cropped section of the normal shot - you can see the rest of the shot sort of darkened out on the sides of the screen, which will definitely be helpful to still fly confidently. I WILL make a video about this - Im surprised no one else mentioned it. Im in an edit right now about the new M4 Mac mini I just got, but I think ill squeeze this Vertical AIR 3 video between that and the M4 MAX MacBook Pro video I was going to make next.. BUSY WEEK!
@@NicholasJamesJohnson Take your time ser.. I appreciate a lot of your hardwork.. Thank you for turning on the AIR 3S and confirming it.. I will wait for that review. 👌☺️ --Best regards from Philippines. 👌
Yeah, someone else commented that, too.. When did they sneak that little change in the naming? It was DEFINITELY Mavic Air originally for the 1 and 2! Whoopsies.
Ohhh THATS what that other commenter is saying. Well that’s funny. I’ve literally always thought it was Mavic Air, even since the first one. Whoopsies! Time to change some titles and descriptions.
6.6k subs? you deserve more, nice work, Keep it up. ❤ from india.
Big fan of your videos….love from India ❤
Now that’s a way the way you close a video! Bravo!!!!
What's a Mavic Air3s? Did the two different series of DJI drones have a baby drone?

Ordered mine yesterday. Super excited

@NicholasJamesJohnson We'll bring back Stanley Kubrick and he'll shoot in 24 fps while faking the moon landing for a whole new generation.
So you can transfer from internal storage but won't take it off SD card if inserted in drone correct?
Are you asking if you’re able to get to the SD card files when the sd card is in the drone and the drone is connected to a computer with a usbc cable?

DJI Air3s 👈🏼 There is no mavic in the name 📛
Yeah, someone else commented that, too.. When did they sneak that little change in the naming? It was DEFINITELY Mavic Air originally for the 1 and 2! Whoopsies.
well done
Mavic??
Yeah. The model is DJI Air 3S
My guy it's called the DJI air 3s

you are funny
Its not a Mavic...... Its a DJI Air 3S.
I have learned that since making this video. I wonder what made them decide to change!
