I wouldn't be able to borrow a prom dress from my mother, because she never went to her prom. What's funny is that she couldn't care less about prom, yet I'm all about it. :)
This is so wonderful!! I had a similar circumstance with my daughter, except I was able to wear a beautiful off-white dress that she had worn to her 8th grade Winter Ball dance, as a wedding dress. After 9 years of marriage, then her father's infidelity, we had divorced 15 years prior. It was absolutely gorgeous, the perfect color, no alterations needed or desired, and made for some extremely beautiful photos. It felt like such an honor, but most of all made my daughter happy, especially with me being the one having the desire as well as making the suggestion to wear it!
