Audience is not a Simple Minds one, they'd just come back from a long break from touring but I think deserved a lot more back from that half dead crowd. Look across and its obvious they are freebie non rock fans come along out of interest. I think the performance is fine but to see how they revved up check out Hammersmith the following year. I'm a music promoter and have seen so many shows by everyone going and those two London dates were absolutely kick ass superb by any measure. This set list was mellower overall too, particularly the first section of songs and they did make a mistake by opening with a then very recent unknown track. So many bands insist on bringing in new tracks at festivals and it is nearly always a mistake.

Great performance. Great filming. The Minds have been such a beautiful soundtrack to 4 decades (and counting).

The lighting on this gig is dreadfull, made filming difficult i imagine........jim always gives 150% great live band.
