The Shift is my favorite song by these guys, they have their own sound but I get Dark Tranquility all over the place form them. Lost to Apathy could mix into their work so seamlessly.
I am just making an inference as to what the meaning of the song. You have clay that is moldable and is able to be sculpted. In a way it is saying that every individual has control of their destiny and way of life. Like clay, to mold it to how they would like. That ultimately we have control to mold how our lives shall be. All in all it is a great song. I am a recent fan of Eye of the Enemy. Their discography is very good as well. Definitely check out the catalog.
You NEED to try Vektor (Tetrastructural Minds). It's good example of their speed, power, thrash, technicalities, harmonic melodies, and vocal range. Also anything off of their Outer Isolation or Black Future albums are total master pieces. How can you go wrong with Space/Sci-Fi metal?
