- Making a loaf of Hawaiian bread.
120 g Half n Half OR Whole milk
120 g Dole Pineapple juice
1 egg beaten
65 g Honey
Vanilla just a splash
545 g king Arthur bread flour
64 g sugar
7 g salt
57 g salted butter
8.5 g Instant yeast
I bake primarily sourdough bread and learned to measure using weight (grams). I’m glad you put your recipe using weight measurements. Thank you for your demonstration.
@@MsLindy57 Do you have a good sour dough recipe that you would like to share?
@@Bunkysworkshop I use Pantrymama Discard Sourdough Sandwich Loaf or the Feathered Nester Sourdough No Knead Sandwich Bread. Pantrymama’s recipe uses yeast; I use it when I need a quick loaf. Feathered Nester you need to plan but it is an easy recipe. Both have websites.
I’m currently learning how to bake using freshly milled flour (fmf) and switching to all fmf. I’ve only baked one loaf so far. If you haven’t seen the Bread Beckers videos/podcast, it is definitely eye opening. I learned about the Zo from the Bread Beckers.
I enjoyed your demo. Thank you.
@@MsLindy57 Thank you for the info and thank you for stopping in for a visit. 👍🤗
Love the sound of your clocks. My Aunt collected clocks that bonged, chimed or cuckooed. I think she he around 12 and none were synchronized. I stayed with them one summer and I think it took about a week before I got used to them and they didn’t wake me up at midnight. I got so used to them that I didn’t even pay attention to them. 😂😂😂
Just got my Zo machine, which I LOVE! Thank you for this recipe - plan to make it for Christmas. ♥️
I hope you enjoy it for years. Merry Christmas and happy new year 🎆
Great video. I can smell that wonderful bread from here!
You can put your Zojorushi bread pan right on the scale and measure all your ingredients right into the pan. You don’t even have to beat your egg first unless you just want to. Just put your ingredients in, taring in between each one, and save yourself a lot of dishes. So much faster easier and more efficient. I make bread in my Zojirushi every couple of days and do it that way all the time.
Thank you. What breads do you like making?
@@Bunkysworkshop I mill my grain. Our favorite is honey wheat with hard red wheat. Very hearty.
@@nsdavisartHow do you use freshly milled flour using the Zojirushi? Is there a website where you found recipes for fmf and the Zo? Please share. TIA.
@@MsLindy57 Gosh - I don’t even remember for sure - but probably Grains and Grit or The Bread Beckers. I google a lot and print out recipes - then mess around with them until Im happy. Not much help I know - sorry - but really google is your best friend here.
Just followed you and made this.
Thanks
I used whole milk and it is WONDERFUL!!
Not as high as my other loafs which is great!
congratulations 🎊. So how did it turn out? I hope delicious 😋
@@Bunkysworkshop
It's now my favorite!!!
Thank you!!!
Got other bread machine recipes?
Thank you. I just both my Zojirushi machine I will try that brad. Thank you I feel more confident .
Please let me know how things go.
I love her!! I also have made her Hawaiian bread and it is amazingly delicious!! 👍😋🤗❤️
Put your bread pan on the scale, tare it and carry on. No other utensils.
Ha, usually start a video about the time my clocks begin to chime, too! Will definitely have to try this one out. I like the King Arthur Bread Flour as well. I recently subscribed to Ellen Hoffman, while looking up sourdough information.
I think King Arthur flour definitely works well in my opinion. Now it can be a little pricey but it is a very clean flour.
@@Bunkysworkshop Yes, it is pricey. I usually find it for a bit less at my Neighborhood Walmart, though.
Can you please tell the ingredients in teaspoons and cups and tablespoons along with grams and ml thank you from all the beginners just starting out braking? Thank you!
Can't decide whether watching the ingredients being measured was torturous or pleasurable😁. Thanks for the video....
I hope you enjoyed the video lol 😂. I did measure everything not only to give out the measurements but also showing how you measure for baking. I hope this helps some one out there.
Well i don't have a scale and I'm not going to be able to buy a scale so I guess I won't be able to make it if I can't find the recipe of cups tablespoons teaspoons for the ingredients help I would love to try the bread
I’m really sorry but when this recipe was given to me it came in grams so that’s all I have. When I do all my baking I do use a scale.
Could you post the recipe.
good presentation Question is this a 2 lb loaf?
@@doraharrison1642 This will make a 1 or 2 pound loaf.
@@Bunkysworkshop thank you
@@Bunkysworkshop thank you
Dude, you're killing me. Just bake the dang bread
lol 😂 I can totally understand where you’re coming from however if I don’t explain everything and show it the hell that come isn’t funny.
Could you provide the recipe beyond the video?
Please check in the description area for it. 😀
How is the outside crust sides and bottom of bread. My welbilt makes it hard. Does this machine make it hard. I am just going to use the dough setting and bake in the oven. Thank you.
I normally use the medium setting or the one before that. Light crust not the dark setting.
Sounds delicious and unique! Is there a gluten-free alternative?
I am waiting for Ellen to prep a recipe for one.
I just found Ellen at the end of January 2024 and I just ordered that bread machine. Not here yet. I have a regular on and when I first got it did not pay any attention about soaking it right away and I can not get the paddle out. My hubby even tried. Forget it. I soaked it and everything. I use it but worry about bacteria in it. Ugh. Thank you for sharing your making of bread. I thought Ellen said she always used just the dough button. Am I right?
With Ellen she mostly does use the dough program and then bakes the bread herself. However sometimes she does just lets the machine take over when she is really doing multiple loaves at one time. She has three of these machines and makes several things at one time. As for the paddles in you machine I wouldn’t worry too much because if your baking in this machine its definitely going to get very hot and kill anything that bay be in there. Now can you put a paper towel or some kind of cloth to protect the paddles and use pliers and pull the paddles out?
We tried pliers and all. So when I get the jojirushi one I will soak right away. I have been watching her videos, I just found her so I am waiting to get my new machine. Thank you@@Bunkysworkshop
@@donnarichey144 did the paddles ever come out? Is it possible they don’t come out?
Yes it did the first couple of times. Its a welbilt, only has one paddle. @@Bunkysworkshop
I couldn't focus on the video...the background made me think so much...
Black curtains on the two candlesticks on the wooden columns on the right and left.
I always imagined that with a fat crucifix, a budda or a hindu god..I felt like I was in a funeral rite in a cemetery...
If the clocks hadn't struck more often and bells rang ....I couldn't get rid of the thoughts after a 26-minute video
Stop it! Lol
I did not even notice it but now that's all I see.
Hey, thanks for the recipe. The time it shows on display is actual time of the day it will finish baking the bread. So in your case it was showing the bread will be ready at 3:33PM
Thank you 👍. I don’t know why I said that. Lol 😂.
Wait....it finishes before the time it first said it would be done?
Can anyone answer me why ALL these Hawaiian recipes have pineapple juice in them? If you look at the ingredients of the rolls, there is NOT any pineapple juice in them.
If you are looking at the rolls or bread at a grocery store then thats just sweet bread. If possible try and look for traditional Hawaiian bread. I hope this helps.
@@BunkysworkshopHave you tried baking the Hawaiian bread using some of the crushed pineapple? If yes, how did it turn out? You mentioned raisins. When do you add the raisins?
@@MsLindy57 I never tried putting the crushed pineapple in but it may be an idea to try. As for the raisins I put them in when the machine beeps to let you know it’s time.
Can you please give us the recipe written out?
I only have this in grams. Is this okay?
Please check in the description area for it. 😊
