    Excellent demo: clearly articulated; nice suggestions for the process; good camera work. Thank you. The bread keeps well. One idea. I had machine baked bread years ago. Could use baby food for difference flavors. Haven’t tried that with my new zojirushi…

      Glad it helps.
      I have some concerns about the ingredients in processed baby food. But, I have other videos showing fruit and other methods. Also, I have found whole milk powder makes a fluffier loaf than skim.

    My Zojirushi arrives tomorrow, so I am doing my homework! I already know that I would have let the bread cool down a bit and then tried to slice it. Seems that would have made a mess. It would have never occurred to me that I needed to let it rest overnight. That's one mistake I won't make now! Very good presentation with lots of information. Thank you very much for posting.

    Great informative vid. I just happen to get my Zojirushi bread machine at a family estate sale for $5 brand new still in the box with the plastic on, I suspect someone got it as a gift and just never used it then when they priced it they didn't realize that it was a top-of-the-line beadmaker. mine is white and probably an older model because the buttons are a little different and the basket doesn't have handles. I found your channel because I was getting lopsided loaves, you mention the paddles need to be in the same direction so I will make sure I do that when I make the next loaf.

I do find myself using it on 400 though and usually adding a few minutes but I'm also filling 2-3 trays, so with the extra amount of food the cooking time is a little longer. I usually flip the chicken paddies half way through the time along with swapping the top rack with the bottom rack, I'm so excited to have moved and have a my own kitchen again. When I bought mine, I had some flour and made my first few loaves out of it. They were good, but when I finished that I had some nice organic flour that I picked up from Costco. I was surprised at how much difference it made. Both were good, but the Costco flour makes silky smooth looking bread that comes out looking like a commercial loaf. I am going to be experimenting more to find differences and hopefully find a favorite.

      It varies based on conditions, but for me a loaf would go about a week. But, it varies based on conditions. Hotter more humid conditions make it go faster. Fridge it can last many many months, freezer even longer.

    When you held the bread slice to the camera after taking a bite, I actually leaned in! OMG that looks great. And I can see how you developed baking chops from using the machine - from the first time, where you mixed all the dry ingredients to this time, where you dropped the sugar and salt on the edges and but butter bits on the long sides. I'm learning from your experiences and will be comfortable to start baking (I have yeast!) as soon as the machine arrives. Did you ever make white bread substituting a cup of flour for flax seeds (Nana suggested that on this page)? I have an open bag of flax seeds in the fridge that I have to use - I'm open to it so I wonder if you have played with using seeds, etc. in the recipes. Darnell, thanks for the tip about the bread slicing guide - I ordered one from Amazon last night that has 1/3", 3/8" and 1/2" (for French toast) slice guides.

    • @WaveOvenRecipes
      @WaveOvenRecipes  4 года назад +1

      I am not sure about replacing the milk flour. But if you don't use any milk flour the loaf won't be as soft.
      King Arthur flours work great. King Arthur bread flour or any other brand of bread flour works all the same. I used to use King Arthur till I started buying flour in bulk, which saves a bundle.
      All purpose flour will produce a loaf, but it won't be as "chewy".

    Did you day 320 ml water? I played that segment of the video 3 times to hear it properly and it sounds muffled. I looked for the recipe in my Zojurushi recipe book, but my model is the Home Bakery Supreme and it is a different recipe, but in theory your version should work the same on mine. Cheers!

      Got it! 320 ml it is. I found it in your video transcripts. The Zojirushi recipe link doesn't work. Says "download pending" Will try your recipe now...

      Use what they gave you, yours was made for what they told you. I cannot repost their recipe. Although they were OK with the video. If you feel you will try mine, play around with it, you'll get it.

      Nope. It doesn’t say. It took about 10-15 min then it started.
      I want to make brioche buns though. I can’t really find a recipe.

      @@WaveOvenRecipes in the manual there is a part that says that the dough is going to rice and there is a balloon that says “Push Down”

      The bread maker does that, it is not a physical push done by you.

    I noticed that all of your videos show the bread without the holes in the bottom from the blades. At what point do you remove the blades to get a loaf without the holes or indentations?

    My machine let the bread rise. Then instead of baking the bread the beaters kneaded the dough a second time. Does dough need to rise twice? This was the white bread recipe. This video did not explain the steps.

    • @WaveOvenRecipes
      @WaveOvenRecipes  3 года назад

      I don't go into all the machine does, but it does 1 rise period. Every machine is set for what is best for that specific machine by its manufacturer.

      You've probably figured it out by now, but mine let's it rise, knocks it down, then rises again before baking.

    How long does this bread last before going bad/mold?

    • @WaveOvenRecipes
      @WaveOvenRecipes  Год назад

      It depends, but it has zero preservatives. It lasts longer than I have ever needed in the refrigerator. And I have been told it lasts like forever in the freezer.
      You have to learn for your conditions.
