  • I was preparing to change over my studio layout and these 4 analog boxes ended up sitting together on the demo bench so I did a quick (and slightly strange) jam with them ...really just noodling around in sort of Fm.
The Beatstep Pro is master clock and also sequencing the Erebus (bass squelch) via midi and the Nyx (high bleeps) via CV. The Boomstar SEM (kick) is sequenced via CV from the SQ-1 which is being clocked from the BSP. The Trax RS-1 (crunchy hi-hat things) is being clocked via midi from the BSP.
The audio has been recorded into Live9 through a Mackie Onyx 820i mixer and there is a little bit of compression/limiting in Live on the master buss to catch any peaks.
Apologies it's not a more refined or developed piece and only a quick play with these boxes, done in an hour, and filmed on my phone.
Big shoutout to Melbourne musician Adrian Reeves (keys player for The Moonhops; and Johnny Longshot) who lent me his Nyx and BS-SEM to mess around with!
Peace, love, beats, bleeps and drones to all!

Thanks for the kind words VolcaRock! It was a very simple impromptu jam but its always fun to play with a bunch of boxes.
