- FIRST DRIVE: The Acadia is all new and there is an AT4 grade from GMC. On the outside you will discover 18in wheels, off-road tires, recovery hooks and skid plates. On the inside you will be greeted by a 15in infotainment screen and digital gauge cluster. Under the hood os a 2.5L turbocharged inline-4 that produces 328HP and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2024 GMC Acadia AT4 a BETTER midsize SUV than a Honda Pilot Trailsport?

To ME, this car is perfect.
I don't know why, but not everyone appreciates the badging being used the way you do, Joe. Guess that's why you're the best. Keep up the great reviews.
That’s so awesome you to say!
I love badging. When I had my Colorado ZR2 that I fully customized, I placed custom related badging in specific areas. Within taste and reason of course.
Raiti’s Rides constantly dropping new content. The best never rest!
Joe, I love it! I enjoy living vicariously through you! Great review!
Kashton
Love having the super cruise option for the Acadia. I've used it and it really complements the driving experience.
Amazing review Joe.
Love your videos man
Raitis Rides your numba one1️⃣☝🏻 car reviewer😎.
Good news, Mr. Raiti! My birthday is on Friday!
Hey Joe you were in my territory. When you did this SUV review. I’m from South Carolina. I would love to know what part of South Carolina you were at when you did this review. Keep up the good work Joe.👍🏾
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video 👍
The adjustable transmission is very cool. I really like this one. I think it would be cool if they made a turbo diesel version. I dig the wheel and tire setup. You could probably have a very solid off-road experience with this. Another top notch review.
Great video
That is so awesome of you to say
I own a GMC Acadia. When we were in Vegas I rented a Honda Pilot for four days. We took it to Death Valley and drove it around quite a bit. The Acadia is superior in every way, especially with the electronics. The way GMC’s lane assist and warnings work, it’s just so much better. My wife even commented how this rental was a down grade.
Exactly. I also rented a Honda Passport recently and it was much worse than my GM car. New Passport felt like it was 15 years behind the times.
I would take the 15 year old Honda pilot over this. Simple, basic seven seater no overly complicated electronics and software that will brick the vehicle.
@@kevinW826 you do you. Maybe a horse carriage would be a better choice? No electronics to worry about. New Acadia will not brick itself and electronics on new vehicles get more simplified.
@@00_UU electronics get more complicated. Just look at not being able to drive the vehicle because the seat belt is not locked in.
Soon there will be breathalyzers in every car and speed limiters as well.
Just look at where Tesla stands in the initial quality survey.
Too many electronics cause all the problems
@@kevinW826 overall EVs are much more reliable and long lasting; but I do have a newer ICE GM car and it has been perfect. I traded in 2015 Acura RDX and I am never going back to Honda.
Great question raiti. I think it’s a great one too, while the powertrain of the pilot seems to be more reliable and durable, the interior of the gmc seems like it has the edge on the pilot. Although the pilots 2nd row has that bench seating with removable middle seat. Tough call.
Wow the acadia looks cool when it comes with at4 trim level with red tow hooks and the big touchscreen
GMC always is awesome.❤❤❤
Nice off roader for sure, interior is nice plus super cruise too
I know they share the same platform but any differences between the Traverse Z71 and Acadia AT4? which design (interior/exterior) do you think is better?
I keep commenting as watch because WOW! A control..to switch from 8 gears..to 6 gears🤯 GMC is still that forward thinking futuristic Car Brand🏆
Wow …. Never thought I’d say this but this car is beautiful 😮
This is such a nice SUV! I was hoping some of the Yukon dimensions would trickle down to the Acadia and I think they nailed the interior. Only wish is that it had a V6 😂
Joe, when will you do a review of the Elevation trim?! You’ve only done an overview in a studio & I’m curious about your opinion. That for all the awesome work👊🏼🙏🏻
Hi Alister! I should be getting one in the next couple weeks to film so please stay tuned!
@@RaitisRidesawesome, as this might my new family car & would love to see what you have to say about it🫶🏻
This is a super nice SUV that has a lot of interior room (3 rows) and it has a lot of technology for the price (a HUD and Supercruise) is pretty awesome for price. Its put together pretty tight also, didn't hear pops and creaks from the body and frame when going through the deep holes.
I’m so glad that you like this Acadia
You missed a huge issue with the new 2024 GMC Acadia. If a vehicle has power seats, it needs memory settings. The AT4 does NOT have memory setting buttons on the driver door. You can only get memory settings and power tilt/telescoping memory steering wheel on the 2025 GMC Acadia Denali. That is ridiculous for a mid-50s mid-size crossover with no memory settings. Especially if a husband is 6' or taller and the wife is 5' 5" or shorter. GM missed this feature on both the Traverse and the Acadia. Big miss!
*If there are no power memory settings, it might as well be standard/manual adjusting seats.
Got memory seat buttons on my 2023 Terrain AT4. Don't know why they would take it off the 2024 Acadia AT4.
I am leaving the highlander this year and taking a leap for GMC. Wish me luck!
I rented one 2023 from VA. to FL. It's so bland to look at but it was surprising how good it really was. Like I wanted one for weeks afterwards.
Best news no fake vents
I totally agree with you!
I may trade in the 22’ SLE i just got last week for this one 🤩
I really dig it! I hope they give the Terrain a make-over like this. Love the interior and the headlights. Still wish it had the V6 though.
I will be bringing it to you!
@@RaitisRides Hell yeah! 🤘🏻
Gotta give props for the blacked-out window trim but that darn rear wiper. Massive zonk there. What’s it gonna take to get rid of these?!?!!
I agree with you! Great question for sure!
Yes of course Joe & I buy this if I had lottery.
Fingers crossed you win
4 cylinder Turbocharged powerplant may have more horsepower and Torque doesn't have the 3.6 naturally aspirated power plant durability, smoothness, long-term across-the-board reliability. my personal preference is the naturally aspirated 3.6 V6 hands down. on that note excellent review Joe. regardless of the all the across-the-board Tech .
I guess we are going to find out.
The enclave looks the best out of the 3 but seeing these acadias in person is so strange. The new size makes it seem as if a Yukon is really behind you 😂
U the GOAT
Thanks for having my back David
This is pretty awesome, however at this price point it should have leather and memory seats.
Then it probably would have to cut something else out of the car to keep it at that price point. This Acadia has quite a bit of features that the Honda Pilot Trailsport does not. Including, ventilated front seats, heated second row, HUD, etc.
Well, at least, a package to add it. The AT4 2023 had that option for $1K.
good job, joe! I really hope GMC some day could make some good quality sedans instead of making SUVs and trucks.
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
Excellent redesign. This new Acadia will be selling like hot cakes. Honda is so far behind with their infotainment.
The Pilot is to SUV's what the Ridgeline is to pick up trucks. USA USA....thanks Joe.
Love your car video
Big change.
You better believe it manuel

19 speakers or 12?
Where is the shifter on it.
18:01 yea this should replace the Yukon (not the XL)
Please do the 2025 Nissan frontier please
When are you going to review the dodge demon 170
Oh trust me I have one coming
SUPER POWER
Oh yeah!
Nice looking. Too bad it has cylinder deactivation. Hugely disappointing
Is this based of the Toyota grand highlander
Is the transmission any good
That is the million dollar question!
Thought he got stuck for a second lol
Design is very 'Merica 🇺🇲
New look outside? That’s easily 90% the same as the last model, inside is better upgrade for sure though
I had a 2011 Malibu & still have my 2013 Corvette.. Never buying a new GM vehicle again. The quality & reliability isn’t there n e more..
It's 2024. If a 3.5 V6 doesn't put out 300 or more horsepower its a horrible engine. 3.5 V6s were rated at 240 to 300 wayyyy back in the day. Honda Pilot only has 290 horsepower? Don't get it.
Exactly 💯 just mentioned that .
Does this car last as long as the Honda?
Nope !
@@sleepyg2011everything else about the GMC is better

That Honda Pilot is such a disappointment. I took a few Ubers recently that had Pilots. Such a bad boring interior. That center dresser like console is horrific. The transmission completely dull. ............Go Hybrid CRV if you want Honda. That Uber was so fun to drive in.
Joe the gmc Arcadia has been around since 2007
Thanks for that great info
@@RaitisRides hey no problem 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
I’ll take Honda Pilot Joe ! 😎
Sounds good to me Tom
56k for a 4 banger.ill pass.
It makes me wonder if car companies are just biding their time now for our generation to die out. Gen z and alpha just starting out with driving may not remember (or expect) larger displacement NA engines...😢I am gen x and can appreciate a turbo or 2, but only for pure performance boosts, not for allowing a large "offroad" vehicle to function on only a few cylinders. Too much stress on a tiny engine. Oh well. That NA ship has already sailed.
54K for a 4 cylinder turbo? I thought giving me a smaller engine would reduce prices.
Same as Toyota grand highlander 😂😂
It has more HP & TQ
@@kromahjnot sure I see where you are coming from
@@RaitisRidesHe’s saying everything is going to turbo 4-cylinders in the midsized market.
It's a shame they had to go ruining it with a turbo 4 cyl that gets just as ishtty gas milage as the Pilot and 4Runner does. I have a mazda with a turbo 4 and it gets ishtty gas mileage too. What's the point of sacrificing reliability, getting a really annoying turbo lag and then still getting the same ishtty fuel economy? And does it have a dipstick? Sadly you should cover whether vehicles have distiks now They are becoming a thing of the past.
The 2024 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek is, in my opinion, the best mid-size suv with some off-road accents.
Pilot powertrain is superior and more durable. Less tech inside, but has all the essential best in class safety features. I will take Pilot anyday, people will complain about smaller screen but its just dick measuring contest. Whats the point of bigger screen when you have all the functions and feature in smaller screen?
No, it's not. 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
To answer opening question. NO!
Thanks for your vote
No, because you can get a bench in the second row on the Honda, which the middle section can be removed to make captain chairs. Best of both worlds.
Thanks for sharing that great insight

Happy Saturday jimmy
These 30 min videos are too long especially with all the ads
hear my thoughts it is a really nice Acadia it is definitely way better than the old one in terms of the Interior the only thing I is the price I can get a palisade for a couple thousand dollars cheaper and it has more features the one thing I will say is I'm actually very impressed with the GM quality surprisingly cuz GM quality these last couple years have been terrible
I like it. But the Honda will last longer and maintain it's value.
No it will not. 🙄
Pilot is better!
In terms of reliably and powertrain yes everything else no
@@1996ChevroletImpalaSS also fit and finish and noise harshness vibration loudness in the cabin Superior in the pilot.
That GMC Acadia AT4 is Slower & Expensive Than a Ford Explorer ST
Poor comparison
Nobody that buys a car in this segment is worried about speed. If they are they get the track hawk or dodge durango srt
@@RaitisRides What Raiti's
@@rakhsiprayogo82 He's saying it's a poor comparison! Is that hard to understand? Explorer ST has 400hp. This has 328. Explorer is also 100 lbs lighter. So....of course it'll be faster than the Acadia. No one will be cross shopping this with an ST. Maybe a regular Explorer. But since you said ST, it's a poor comparison. Prices are both around $60k.
The Explorer Timberline is the off-road version from Ford.
This car has good screen integration but WHERE is the engine? They stuck a moped motor in a big SUV? This engine is going to be highly taxed! I’ll be getting a v8 grand Cherokee
GMC better than a HONDA 🧐
Every 4 cylinder engine in these large suvs will implode in a few years.
