- The GMC Acadia is all-new for 2024, getting a complete redesign inside and out. It’s now bigger, measuring nearly 11 inches longer and 3 inches taller. Stand-out features include a new rugged AT4 trim with a lifted suspension, twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system, and also a refined Denali trim. Acadia is a midsize SUV that seats 5, 6, or 7 passengers depending on configuration and is only available as a 4-door wagon.
Competitors include the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, Buick Enclave, Lexus RX and Ford Explorer.
Four trims are available: Elevation, Premium, AT4, and Denali. One engine is available: A turbo 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque. All pair to a 8-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard with all-wheel drive being optional. Maximum towing capacity is rated at 5,000 pounds. Pricing ranges from $39,000 to $52,000.

Can you please qualitatively compare the ride quality and cabin noise between the Acadia Denali, and the Acadia AT4 with the Luxury package (which adds the double laminated windows). Does the Denali have extra insulation that the AT4 with Lux package does not get?
It’s a nice unibody truck design similar to Grand Highlander/TX and interior layout has an upscale aesthetic seems better than Lexus. However, GMC went the Toyota route with that 4 cyl-turbo, but without hybrid tech. A GMC Denali or Lexus TX should have V6 as standard because these are $60-70k vehicles. That’s an incredible sum of money. Thanks for the review.
The weight of the vehicle with the displacement of the engine means over stressed out & poor mileage
I wonder why GM are so reluctant to put screens in the back door? Or why only the new Buick version of that car comes with auto hold? And no head up display on the new Traverse? Come on Mary, you can do better than that!
I’ve driven one almost exactly like this one except all black interior which I prefer. My single complaint is power. My dad has a 17 Acadia with the V6 and it maybe less overall power it’s power is instant. I noticed quite a bit of turbo lag. Way more than even my 21 Duramax. They should have put the 2.7 out of the half-tons in it. Its response is much better in my experience. Otherwise it’s a hit.
Too expensive and then you still need to pay up for monthly subscriptions in order to use the installed options. No thanks.
This guy is too picky for me, no car company builds a perfect car. People comes in all shapes and sizes.
Test drove it , engine is super disappointing , not sure why everyone is pushing 4 cyl down the customers throat …
Another miss is no auto close on the passenger or rear windows from the driver's side butttons. Just.. an odd omission
If that's what you've got to complain about for a car then that's a pretty damn good car lol. 😂
You're crying about auto windows...😒...Fuck outta here...
Not with a 4 cylinder. GM just lost this customer. V-6 or no purchase from us. Turbo say the engine is too small.
That ambient lighting so sad lol
I love the car overall BUT I don't really care for the screen being vertical or that it only has a 4 cylinder engine. I test drove and I noticed a slight drag as did my husband. I may go back again for a second test drive.
Headrests are failing in the 3rd row Denali trim. Electric folding mechanism is flawed with no replacement option available at this point. I’m stuck with a flawed vehicle they won’t take back! I have only a 3 seater because rear seat is stuck down against 2nd row seat. So bummed. Waiting on GM to help me resolve. Dealer says can’t get parts so? Don’t buy until resolved.
Gm really nailed the design, inside and out- im hoping they did a really good job on reliability as well - which i doubt
You sold me on a 2024 GMC 2500HD SLT. Lookin like the wife would enjoy this
I saw one of these last week. It looks really nice in person, like an oversized gmc terrain. But I will never be a fan of touchscreen dashboards, so I will stick with the previous generation of the traverse as my next vehicle if need be.
Touchscreen dashes with minimal physical controls are the future, luckily the tech is getting WAY better and in a hurry! Much better than last gen, that's for sure!
@@mikeworkman1759 if I understand correctly the IIHS is mandating physical buttons in all 2026 or 2027 models to be considered for a “Top Safety” pick.
So if that is the case, Tesla and everyone else will need to redesign the dashboards of their cars
@@kevinW826 interesting, I wonder what will qualify as a "physical" button. The new traverse has physical buttons for HVAC controls whereas the Acadia has buttons that are still linked to the screen for HVAC but the buttons are still "physical"... I'd much rather have buttons like the traverse compared to the Acadia
I have the 22 Acadia AT4 and I love the V6 the power is awesome, very peppy way more than you really need lol, and I love it no issues, only thing I find it should have the steering paddles for shifting in manual mode, it’s a pain to switch gears all over to the right without taking your eyes 👀 off the road other than that we love it, awesome xover
Wished the canyon denali would be this fancy
I like that color with those wheels. Looks really elegant.
This new redesigned Acadia Denali is a step up from the previous model. It has curb appeal and it's tempting me to trade in my Toyota.
Two cylinders short, no rear sunshades, no rear ventilated seats, less vehicle for more money, and GM wants you to take a chance on the turbo😮4 cylinder …. Talk about depreciation…..this thing will crash in value. A 10 year 100k miles warranty would help a bit. Looks good.
What 3 row suv offers rear vent seats?
Who isn’t using a 4 cylinder turbo?
@JAKtheRipper333 Hyundai Palisade, heated and ventilated second row, heated third row, sun shades for the second row and comes with a V6.
To be fair, those v6’s that came in those cars prior weren’t all that good to begin with
@marcelhd16 they have a V6 but it's less horsepower and torque Toyota and Lexus both using 4-cylinder.
@@Ray.Tompkins.02 I have a 2012 Buick Enclave with 130,000 miles. I have experience with the V6 and know the quality and smoothness and reliability.
Turbo engines require extra maintenance focus that most owners do not know or understand. These engines are more likely to experience failures with high miles that will affect the vehicle resale values.
I have this vehicle and i absolutely love it!
Yes of course Tom & I would rather buy this.
We tried a at4 out. Didn't like it. Feels like you're driving a bus. The motor noise is horrible.
Hey Tom How Are You Could You Review The 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten And Last Call 2024 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat And 2024 Toyota Sequoia Platinum
i think kids safety door lock in the back is missing !
Nice car but a little overpriced maybe in the $50,000 range would be better but it's supposed to be top line model when its a Denali overall it's a nice SUV I wouldn't mind having
Nice design and ride. 4cyl engine that sounds like my lawn mower is a deal breaker.
No way I would buy one of these. 2.5L. No way.
I want this!!
Wow what an increase in size. That’s crazy. 😂
I love so much this car
Nope. It should be a hybrid!
Is there a spare tire?
Yes, under the plastic bin in the rear storage area. The four visible latches are hold downs for the bin and the tire is under the bin.
Would liked to see an SS Chevy SUV, sporting the naturally aspirated 6.2V8 @425 ponies. I’ve got this engine in a 1500 pickup and she’s peppy.
4 cylinder garbage 🤷🏼♂️✌️🙏🇨🇦
Nice review.. love that color.
p.s. - I can tell you watch Raiti's Rides vids 😉
The evolution is in the mid-40s and gives you almost the same.
Can you even get leather on that trim?
@@mikeworkman1759it’s a synthetic leather which looks nice. You have to jump up to a Denali for genuine leather.
Fantastic video Tom.
Many thanks!
