I knew he was somewhere above me as I saw the hole in the ceiling and could hear him wobbling, and could hear the whirlwind. Could never figure it out until I got a free guide to Crash 3 and Spyro that came with a gaming magazine from the local shop.

337%ing the Orriginal Spyro Trillogy (including all the skill-points.) is on my bucketlist. Why the abitrary assignment of the 120% as compleation in Spyro1, and the even more arbitrary 117% in Spyro 3?
Just realized at 10:15 in confronting toasty the level features an arms race between wolves and sheep. Wolves are disguised as sheep, and sheep are disguised as shepherds. Funny little detail.

This game gives % for following: 40% for all dragons 12% from eggs (I really think.) 48% for 12,000 gems which 1% equals 250. 20 extra % are from those last 2000 gems so bonus stage gives x2,5 higher %. I calculate if there's no multiply in bonus level then total would be only 108%
i got sooooo stressed watching you quickly glide from island to island.... especially since this was before you could hover in spyro 2 and 3. i was glued to this video. amazing.

I'm confused. I guess at "crystal flight" in the third world at 37:50, the dragon is still crystallized. When you come back out at 39:02, he's gone. Was it a glitch, or did you stitch some videos together?
This is called dragon skip. What happens is that when you enter a portal, Spyro is still gliding in the home world. It isn't until the camera touches the portal that the level actually starts loading. So what we do is manipulate the camera so that it doesn't touch the portal until after Spyro touches the dragon in the home world. Spyro touches the dragon which rescues it but then the level loads, so you effectively skip the entire animation of rescuing the dragon.
No it's not fake, you can see this trick used among pretty much all runners of this game and is in all of my other pb videos. I have 44 dragons before entering the portal, 45 when I exit. Also you can easily see me do this trick on all of my live attempts. You can watch my latest pb that I did on stream if you really want to prove yourself wrong.
At first I was completely wowed at the time that you did and thought it was completely fake but then I realize you were playing first one which can very well be beaten and that time the other ones at least need 4 hours. I’m going to try and beat your time today just because I’ve been beating these games over and over for the past 20 years I think I can beat it ;-)
I usually 100% artisans world, but then skip stuff in the following worlds because getting everything the first time through makes the game shorter for some reason. After defeating Gnasty Gnorc, I go back through the game and get the stuff I purposely missed. It makes it more fun that way

Fun fact: the drummer for The Police composed the music for the Spryo trilogy (and I think he did Enter the Dragonfly too, but I'm not sure. But EtD is irrelevant because it sucked. The only good Spyro games are the first three. Any Spyro games to follow are irrelevant)
