- Turkish Style Chicken ;
For Chicken Marinade:
~ 1/2 kg of chicken boneless chicken into 1 inch cubes
~ 1 teaspoon of red chili powder
~ 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
~ 1 teaspoon of salt 🧂 or to taste
~ 2 teaspoons of ginger paste
~ 1 tablespoon of garlic paste
~ 1 tablespoon of lemon 🍋 juice
~ 100 ml thick yogurt
2 tablespoons of tomato paste
~ Pinch of red food coloring ( optional)
~ Taste for all spices and adjust accordingly .
PROCEDURE :
Marinate chicken with all the above ingredients for about 1 hour and then cook. This recipe can be cooked instantly.
Heat s pan, add 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil .
Add chicken the marinated chicken
First Cook for 5 minutes on high flame and then cook on medium flame until chicken has cooked and masala has thickened .
For White Sauce:
Butter - 2 tablespoons
All purpose flour- 1 and 1/2 tablespoon
Milk - 1 and 1/2 cup
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon or to taste
Black pepper- 1/2 teaspoon
Mozzarella cheese - 1 tablespoon
Procedure:
Take a saucepan , melt butter
Add flour and stir continuously for 2 minutes.
Cook until flour changes color slightly, not brown.
Add milk, salt and pepper.
Taste. Stir continuously
( There should be no lumps forming.
If there are lumps use a whisk to make smooth .
Cook to desired consistency
( Should be smooth and slightly thicker not watery )
Last add some mozzarella cheese and keep a aside .
Final Step :
Take a sizzling dish, add the chicken ,
then white sauce , sprinkle on top a pinch of dry oregano leaves and dry basil leaves.
Add mozzarella cheese generously and last sprinkle some chili flakes
( optional ).
( Cheddar cheese can also be used with mozzarella )
Cook on slow heat until cheese melt
( 5 minutes maximum )
Enjoy with pita , naan or spaghetti .
