Was upgrading from a 1600 to a 5600.
I cleaned my RAM slightly, didn’t use an eraser, and swapped the two slots. Booted. Thanks for the vid.

Things to check first
1. RAM or RAM slot
2. CPU [ if your VGA is connected to motherboard, you have to make sure that your cpu have INTEGRATED GRAPHIC in it ] or graphic wouldnt appear.
3. GPU or VGA on GPU slot

its probably the ram guys like 90% of the time push it in really hard untill you hear the latch click that fixed it for me after traveling with my pc for over 12 hours

Great video, very informative, yeah right! there are lots of factors why a PC won't display even if it turned on. The most common part is RAM memory corrosion. Overtime the memory or ram of your PC becomes corroded, and when it is corroded, the PC won't output any display. That's why you have to uplug it from the board and clean it using any pencil eraser, but be sure no to touch the copper side (the color gold) to avoid possible damage on the ram. There's a lot of other factors like the motherboard if it's defective, it won't give any display and also the power supply if it's defective even if it powered on but it's already deteriorated due to old age and cannot provide enought amper to the processor, board, memory or the monitor itself it cannot give any display.

for everyone sketchy about this, don’t be afraid to try. For me my pc turns on but wont display anything on the display but has a slight light on the mouse and the keyboard but after i did both of these it worked. Try it out and thank you for this tutorial❤️

but yeah when i tried this it wouldnt even turn on anymore, but sience it works now i guess no components were damaged

@@ROLLINS101 Ummm.... u have to open ur cpu and just clean that silver battery and clean the cabinat of cpu, then take out the ram and clean it with a clean cloth and re insert it..... This trick worked for my computer hope it would work fkr your computer also.

I was trying to turn on my PC after a long time of not being able to use it. When I pushed the power button my PC would beep and then turn off but my fans were still running. I ran into this video and it helped a lot. I personally was very scared to even open the side panel and mess around with the stuff INSIDE, but let me tell you! It was not hard!!! once I got inside my PC, I removed both the battery and the sticks just to increase the chance of my pc turning on, cleaned them, and placed them back. My pc is now working and I’m enjoying it very much! Ty !!

I installed a new graphics card and accidentally dropped the backplate screw onto the motherboard. I thought the PC was totally messed up as it wouldnt boot. But following these two steps fixed it!! Thank you

@@WeazelNewsUSA well, I have like 3 CMOS batteries but Still haven't Tried With Each One Of Them, I suspect the hdd, But Without Hdd, There Should Be Atleast Bios Screen, So Hdd Is Not A Problem Here, I'll _try_ to install a new cmos, thanks!

@@MartaMarinkovic It wont, but I would suggest simply unplugging everything from the back of your pc and hold down the power button for a full 1 minute, thats what worked for me. Havent experienced a black screen in over a week so far and before it was 50-50. You could also do that while the GPU is removed and clean out any dust just to be safe then proceed to discharge for a full minute.

Wow nice video, this fixed my two problems in one solution.
Firstly my DVD drive was missing, Because I just reinstalled windows before and then secondly after that monitor began to show nothing but black screen. Then I tried this method by rubbing the ram stick with an eraser and after plugging it in, the monitor worked and my DVD drive showed up.

I gotta say I did a couple more things that aren’t on this video, just trowing it out there in case this still doesn’t work to you and want to try. Apart from the CMOS battery I also removed the psu cables from the MB, ram sticks and gpu, waited like 10-15 minutes and put everything again turned on and it gave me the BIOS screen

You are my hero as well. But you forgot to tell the people that when they plug the computer up it takes a moment to reset itself and the lights will blink off and on often on. When I put my computer back together it scared me I thought I had done something wrong but it was only going through the motions of rebooting itself. A new method what I've done is just open bios then copy all important files to a cd or stick then reinstall Windows

@@bollylone3818 I opened up the PC case. Popped out the silver button battery using a plastics implement. I waited about ten seconds and put the battery back in again. When I booted it up again I had the monitor image back again. I can't guarantee this method will work for you but it is certainly worth a try!
