TxT vocals are no joke. They are incredible vocalists, the best in their generation 💙

    Absolutely didn’t expect this reaction.
You can totally trust TXT with vocals!! Especially Taehyun with rawness and greed in his vocals. You know it from “Crying, crying, crying” Loser=Lover song and 0X1=LOVESONG. The performance is beautiful! Thank you.

Yoshiki's ballads tear your heart out. "Forever Love"was played at HIDE's funeral, "Endless Rain"at HEATH's memorial.-The pain he has endured in life reflects into his music. He is my favorite musician right along with Freddie Mercury.

X-Japan for me is something that bring heavy heavy old memories from my youth when I dated a Japanese girl and she introduced me to X-Japan, I ofc eaten this band alive listening to it 24/7 because I was so much in love with this girl, and as a side effect I also was in love with X-Japan.
This was around 1996 and after that, every time I listen to this song, or Kurenai, or Rose of Pain, it brings me wild memories, both good and sad memories. hehehehe Love Yoshiki 100%

Nice - and thanks for the free patreon link. You should watch the live performance from their 'Last Live' ... their very last concert at the end of December 1997 before they split up. That is at the Tokyo Dome and ended up with the whole crowd singing the song - even more than in the second video you watched.
Hide (that is pronounced something like Hee-deh) the guitarist died just a few months later and I understand the bassist died a few years after, but I think the rest of them are still alive.

in the full concert, I counted the crowd singing the chorus for nearly 12 minutes before they were eventually cut off by the next song. really incredible

Yoshiki wrote the songs. He was still in pain from his father's death when he was 10yrs. The chorus repeating those 2 lines were homage to 1997 when group disbanded and the fans sang for 10 minutes hoping they would reconsider and not break the band. Their final live only had 1 night at the Tokyo Dome. Another painful ballad he wrote was Tears which I like more. X Japan's Kurenai is getting a glee club remake for the new movie Let's Go to Karaoke, about boy getting singing lessons from a Yakuza member. Yoshiki new rock band is called The Last Rock Stars. Check their song out too. The lead vocalist Hyde collaborated with Yoshiki for theme song of anime. Song called Red Swan. Yoshiki also will be writing new Hello Kitty theme song this year and has his own Sanrio character called Yoshikitty 😅
😢 Sad note, he had to rush to bassist funeral right after this performance and played the same song.

Stan Lee created Blood Red Dragon in 2011 for Yoshiki. Yoshiki has been living in LA since late 80s. He composed the Golden Globes theme song. X Japan also had theme song I.V. for movie Saw IV.
If you like power ballads, Yoshiki composed one for SixTones called Imitation Rain, look for video 4 years ago with the original rock sound. The recently released new versions.

Teahyun and Kai, along with the other artists, made this a performance to remember. I absolutely loved it.
In general, a lot of the celebrities in Asia that have a certain type of nose don't come by it naturally; no shame, but it is what it is. There are some that do, but a number of those may be like Kai who has mixed parentage. The beauty standards seem to lean towards a more western look (eyes, nose, skin color, etc.) for some.

There was another cover done by Yoshiki with special guests during lockdown on Japanese TV over New year 2020-21. You can find that on the official Queen channel (you won't get a reaction through) since it featured Brian May and Roger Taylor from Queen along with Sarah Brightman (opera singer) and some very select Japanese artists ... including BABYMETAL.
Nemophila did a good cover too (or was that a different X Japan song? oops brain fade - it was 'Kurenai' they did, sorry) ... and as I mentioned BABYMETAL, their song 'No Rain, No Rainbow' is an homage to 'Endless Rain' - the Legend S Baptism XX performance is the best version (it may be blocked if you do a reaction unless you obscure the video a bit).
