@@1x1HealthyEnergybyAndrew I took isshin Ryu my teenage years and early 20s. I started boxing in my mid 50s and still catch myself throwing front snap punches to the head and body. Sometimes when I'm guarding my face I catch myself doing a side block instead of ducking or shifting to the side. I also do front snap kicks instead of Muay Thai leg kicks with my shin. I just can't get myself to use shins to kick and not snap kicks. That's the weird thing about kickboxing martial arts now, things are always taking from other styles. Master Shimabuku himself did that.
