You will love it I have a steam deck and just got the legion go about two three weeks ago and it is my go to I don’t even pick up the steam deck anymore
"Thanks for the input, everyone! I'm really excited to get my hands on the Legion Go. It sounds like it's going to be a fantastic device, especially considering the positive feedback from those who already have it. Can't wait to experience that beautiful screen for myself!"
Love your videos you do great work. I’m struggling to pick between the two and I was curious whether you would still pick the ASUS and how much of a difference do you feel with the vrr
I first bought the legion go. But it's to big, not comfortable. The speakers are shit on the legion go. And the massive difference is the VRR on the ally it just so smooth. Maybe there are a little more fps on the legion go. But I found the gameplay on the ally much smoother because of the VRR! My legion go sounded like an airplane and was to heavy.
The Ally does have better sounding speakers and they’re front firing as well. I also do think that VRR makes a huge difference for the Ally’s screen, gameplay does look nice and smooth. The weight problem is also completely understandable.
I have a lot of doubts that you had the go. Yes the Ally has better speakers but most people play with headphones so it doesn’t matter much, maybe for movies. Other than that, and I had the Ally before, I barely notice any difference (perhaps on very low fps a minimal difference)
For me its not uncomfortable at all, and also the speakers out of the box are absolute shit, but by simply opening REALTEK audio console (preinstalled already so don't worry about downloading it) and literally just raising all the levels, and then the speakers are literally PERFECT, like literally becomes too loud above 60% for certain things. Playing RUclips/games like COD etc can be heard from across the room with how loud it becomes. I've also used the ALLY and VRR is noticeable, but BARELY if not rarely depending on the game because of how smooth and much better the performance of the legion go is, VRR becomes "unnecessary".
i personally have and love my ally. atm it has the advantage of a 4 month head start for them to fix the issues at launch that these things had. however, you cant go wrong with either!
@@mcdan20 If you're looking for comfortability/better in the hands, the ALLY is definitely the move for you. I will say though as someone who owns a legion go, its absolutely AMAZING, whether I'm using it to watch RUclips, Movies/Shows, gaming etc! That 8.8 screen is no joke, and some people even say they notice the difference after owning both. I don't really have big hands, but I can say for sure that the GO hasn't been uncomfortable for me, so it might really just depend on user experience or in general how maybe someone holds it!
@@justinbaez34 thank you idefinitely love how the go has a bigger screen. I’m just gonna have to go look at both in person and see which one feels the best in the hand.
Great contact but i see the Lenovo always have more temp right? It's a bad think is in it? I was about to buy the leagion go but it seems like have some Colling issues right?
Higher temperatures don’t cause more wear or anything like that. Therefore, the temperature being high has no effect unless it gets so hot that it throttles, which as you can see it doesn’t.
I'm currently using the rog ally just wondering what graphics driver are you using? I rolled back the driver to the one that was released in October I noticed a major increase in performance, with the same settings you are using and on the same map I get 150-180fps in mw3
Keep in mind they were capped at 144FPS. You’ve also not mentioned resolution or graphics settings. If it’s at 720p or 1080p low FSR3 balanced then it’s obvious they were being limited by the cap as it was locked at 144FPS.
For pure FPS, the Legion Go seems to be the better option at 800p which is the default lowest resolution for the Legion Go when used in handheld mode, but the Ally is pretty good as well at 720p or even 900p. Hope this helps!
Man 37fps is considered unplayable today in a demanding game. Try playing the original DOOM on a 486 PC or even Quake on a Pentium..even boosted by Voodoo. Let's not even get in the 15-20fps stuff on PlayStation and Saturn...If my portable can run Avatar at 720p @ 37fps I'm jumping for joy
Unstable 37FPS on average is not nice looking. Stable 30FPS looks much better. On the Ally I'd still prefer having my game in 720p or 900p upscaled to 1080p & 50-60fps over native 1080p to have higher FPS.
Yeah, it definitely needs improvement but I think it’s still quite impressive. I feel like in the future it’ll probably be huge kinda like upscaling tech is now, but who knows.
I'll be purchasing the Legion Go next week! 😊
Awesome, hope you enjoy it when you get it!
Just got one the other day love it 😀.

The screen is beautiful on the legion go it's hard to go back to 7inch after

I got my Legion Go last week and I'm loving it so much!
I’m glad you’re enjoying it, happy gaming!
How are the bugs? Is the Lenovos software that bad? I am thinking about this or the steam deck
@@anthonyhernandez6230 I didn't have any major bugs since I got it. After the last update, it's so much better!
Did you ever mention if the Ally is in performance or turbo mode?
Will you ever do a video on your settings on your legion go and also what you have enabled in amd ??
Yeah, I can do that. In the AMD software in terms of Graphics settings I have all options turned off.
What happened? Why haven’t you posted in a while?

The vrr makes a big difference but also armory crate is way more optimized and streamlined
Heavy? You too weak 🤣 it only weighs 1.9 lbs
If you had to recommend the go or ally today which would it be?
i personally have and love my ally. atm it has the advantage of a 4 month head start for them to fix the issues at launch that these things had. however, you cant go wrong with either!
@@zigga967 I’m torn between the go having a 8.8 inch screen but the ally being lighter and more comfortable in your hand for longer periods of time.

@faris There is no FSR 3. on my lenovo legion go?
Uh, where are you looking for it? It’s a game setting, not something that’s hardware-locked.
This is amazing, i may have to pick one up now
what is the fps average for cs2 low settings on lgo?
I haven’t tried CS2 on the Legion Go, but in my upcoming benchmark video I’ll definitely give it a try!
thankssssss@@faristriesgamingtech
Would fps improve if you pushed to 8gb vram?

How about cyberpunk 2077 on both system?
I literally just purchased the lenovo legion go, it seems like a good purchase
Found a legion go open box for 550 can't wait to give it a shot
Idk what the refresh rate is for the LeGo but it's is 120Hz for the Ally so more frames make no sense. Just increase quality.
Which one you recommend more? Ally or legion? Regarding fps

Сейчас бы на 2К экране играть в 720p

Rog ally . I seen too many videos of that one running very good on there. I’m picking mine up next week

Frame gen is ass. I didn't like the rubberband feeling of the camera in Skyrim(PS3), so I know I won't like it here.
