Man, seeing how gorgeus the game looks and how many neat details are hidden everywhere really makes me want to play it, but my pile of shame is already big enough and the elden ring DLC certainly doesn't help either T.T

Luckily Demon's Souls only took me around ~20 hours playing pretty meticulously, so if you ever find a weekend that you wanna pump it out then that can at least be one less game on the list lol!

Great video! Some of the levels can definitely be frustrating but after finishing elden ring i wouldn't mind another linear game.
I think the remake does some things better some worse but its hard to take people seriously when they describe any change as unbelievable arrogance
Thank you, I'm glad to hear that you liked the video!! And I'm on the same train, I was a big fan of what the linear experience allowed DS3 to do, and I'd be super down for another game like it!
And that was something I thought was kinda wild too! They attributed a lot of the changes to flagrant disregard of the source material or like they were trying to rewrite history, which just felt a bit much
For the lack of understanding...do you plsy these games without the SOUNDTRACKS ON? I was wondering this because of the true king allant fight. The soundtrack makes so much of the atmosphere and carries so much weight what you are about to fight...

I do not play with the soundtrack on lol! Jumping around the fight with cuts can make it pretty jarring for an auditory experience imo, so I like to record without the game music and add my own afterwards with stuff like this!
I even have the songs in the video time stamped in the description if there's any that caught your fancy and you want to listen to! :D

For me personally the music is a pretty big part of the souls games. It contains so much weight, energy and atmosphere for the whole game and it made them special for me.
Maybe wouldnt even be the big souls fan I am today without it because things like Gwyn, Gherman or Allant would feel so empty without it.
But for editing purposes...I feel you
I absolutely understand that! Sometimes I will do a fight with the music just to experience it if it's taking me a few tries, or I'll look it up afterwards to get more of the emotional context, so I get to experience it in some capacity!
The remake didn't do a good job with the music. (Not bad but they miss the point)

Honestly I would recommend the original because the remake did butcher the art style and music. But still a good video.
