    Here tattoos are metaphor of games life lines..the other girl who was killed was a metaphor for some other player who lost the game of life and since her dead remains was on tapsees tattoo it means tapsee was given the game to play ...on a dream sequence the girl had 3 tattoos and later tapsee also had 3 tattoos just like 3 life lines....wow great genre bending films...the killer's face and motive is not important...he actually didn't kill tattoo girls for any psychological reason..the tattoos are life lines of game on the second half on the film and it's natural that in action games killers will try to kill us irrespective of motive...the narrative of the movie is just like the matrix where the agents trying to kill the players.....this film is for truly educated audiences. I believe that the killers are death, depression and other internal demons we all face. Amudha kind of gave in to death in the process of her struggle with her demons which is cancer. The lessons from her suffering coupled with Swapna's own internal strength helps her overcome her demons. So, I believe that it's perfectly alright to not reveal the killers at all. Because it is different for each of us.

    The second half is exactly what happens in a afternoon dream on a weekend for me. Everything i heard, everything that i came across will join hands and act up into a single horror sequence . I like how they brought out the same sense in the movie.
    The second half was a dream and i deny any other theory. DOT
    Only wrong decision i see from my perspective is... They should have kept the first scene as the one where she wakes up when maid opens the window. That would have prepared for the psychologically disturbed girl that we have here.
    When u start off showing her jogging around, i thought she was a normal creative person. Go hard and make it dark next time

    Game over is actually a great reference to the game pacman ! In the second half when the killers actually come to her house , they show the pacman on the screen with one player and three villan character in game , then they show the quote dejavu ! So after her first life ie: after one of the villan dies ..in the second Life version , there are three villans again ! What does that mean ? Let me say ..a game has three lives for you but for each life the same number of villans come ! They first have a particular purpose and way of killing but they in the process change according to the character (hero) decisions ! So observe in the second and third lives they first take the mocktails to throw into house !(ie: same way of killing designed to them but on course changes by decision of hero

    4:46 Hm...
    Maybe that scene is still Swapna's subjective experience. Whatever they show in the prologue is Swapna's version of the event happened. She got to know through the news that it's been 1 year since a girl has been found dead on the outskirts of Chennai, maybe whatever happened during the prologue was Swapna's version of the actual even made possible by her vivid imagination (remember, she's a videogame designer). It also better explains why the killers were stalking the girl, with the camera. It's Swapna's past influencing her thinking.

    Although the director and producer justify the context of the film, the sad truth is that the audience isn’t matured enough to understand severe complexity. You cannot blame them for that neither can you blame the team for trying to showcase their skill. But a word of advice would be that they narrate the script to various people before commencement of production. That way they can understand the psychology of the audience better

    Watched this film in Netflix today.
    Definetly missed this one in theatre.
    Just one thing : As the director rightly mentioned about the subjective narrative of this film and he just wanted the victims emotion to be reflected to us rather than showing us about the motive of the killer and setting a up flashback for Swapna's assault. Before amutha and swapna's assault the killer is having a photo of both the victim and there is a number mentioned with an #hashtag and amutha was 4 and swapna was 10 if i am not wrong, and the killer is having an image of victim in tattoo studio.
    My doubt is whether the motive of the killer has anything to do with the tattoo studio. As the rest of the 8 people who was killed by the same killer has anything to do the with this studio? we are only shown about the 2 assaults and rest of the killings are only mentioned in news

    • @sasf8181
      @sasf8181 5 лет назад +6

      Lol. Ishanth Varma, you dint understand the film I guess.
      Amudha has survived fighting cancer for three times. The serial killer is reflection of molesters/problematic people for women in society who doesn't know what these women undergo in their life. It's like how much ever inner pains we face and overcome, there are idiots like this in society. Somehow she couldn't survive from the killer. Whereas Swapna who overcomes and fights them back and survives is a closure ending. Amudha , three times cancer survivor being killed by killer is definitely not for empathy. Film never tries to go that way.
      Also the spirit of Amrutha never helps her directly. In the second half she shows the vision (dream or illusion or whatever), everytime Swapna becomes stronger to fight back, is what it is about. I and definitely most of the audience understand this way. Thank God , you dint ask (not asked, btw) Why amudha spirit dint kill those serial killers? (Like a typical Bollywood Bhoot)

But when you claim or preach that we are making high concept movies, i am going to change Indian cinema these questions are expected i just don't want writers to fool the audience or to dread unnecessary horror to show their pseudo brilliance, as the movie crew talks like IIM sessions.

    • @sasf8181
      @sasf8181 5 лет назад +7

      @@ishanthvmn I think it's very clear. Amudha was alone at home. She can't fight with killer with all those weapons, who comes all of a sudden. And so, she dies. And when her mother comes to Taapsee, she says about the cancer thing and how she was fighter in her life all along, also she says her daughter wants taapse to be strong, I don't see any irresponsible writing here. Taapse fights back because she had the vision.
      I don't think there is a need to ask much logical questions here as well. There are so many Hollywood films which doesn't give logics (A quiet place is similar kind of film, I had so many questions while watching but that's a film I should not ask, in film like Interstellar also we can ask for logics) Because I feel the two questions you asked why she dint fight / spirit of amudha dint save Amrutha are pure silly questions. Psuedo intellectuals like you may have selective hatred because of some other reasons (may be for taapse or south Indian or something else) which can be seen by your words like 'Psuedo brilliance' & 'IIM talks'. They have made fucking damn film which was applauded by so many audience, which made them to give your so called IIM talks.
