As a very new vegan and a VERY long-time absolute chocoholic, I'm really thankful that you've made this video! I'm looking forward to going out and getting some of that stuff very soon!
Vegan products are getting increasingly competitive, it’s great! At this point I prefer a lot of vegan alternatives to red meats - avoid the sinews, cartilage, etc. whilst making me feel slightly less guilty about what I’m eating. This chocolate looks nice, thanks for reviewing it. I’m rather basic so I’ll likely be picking up the caramel & sea salt if anything, but I’m glad that Steph(?) can have good chocolate once again! I know I’d miss it.
Love to see you and your Shrimpling :) I'm not vegan, but I do like trying new things and it's fun to see others do the same! Alternative foods have come a long way, and I'm sure there's one or two people who actually like that Fanta... maybe.
@@mikesantiago14 🤣 true.😳 Uncomfortably true. Women can generally get away with it slightly better. But it's still creepy. There are things about my wording I am trying to improve - I never say "To be honest" anymore because I realised I've only ever heard it from people who were lying. I'm not creepy in real life (AFAIK) but I'm learning that my body language offsets any weird wording mistakes I make. It makes me think of someone I'm close to. My younger brother used to share my fairly dark twisted sense of humour, until he went through a rapid height increase in his late teens/ early 20s. Now his humour is only allowed out in private, because he realised very early on that it's creepy when you have an imposing stature. He told me "once you get over 6 foot you have to modify the jokes you tell, and laugh at. When you're over 6½ foot you are already 'Creepy Tall'. Then you need to alter your tone of voice, the way you move, your body language, the things you say.... if you're aware your height alone can make people uncomfortable, you know that you need to keep a dark sense of humour under the radar. If you don't, you're being creepy"

2:20 The way she says "That's nice I like that" is exactly like your wife! Seeing the little shrimpling talking so much like you guys is so cute. Love this! Edit: Oh, and while I'm here, at least where I am there's some brands that carry proper milk that's had lactose removed (usually via adding lactase iirc), so you can have all the flavors and nutrition of milk without the tummy upset. It is a tad bit sweeter, since lactose breaks down into glucose and galactose, and they're sweeter than lactose. I thought I'd mention it since it's such a game changer as a lactose intolerant person. If you don't have that available, oat milk is probably my favorite non-dairy milk.
Cellophane has been around since the early 1900’s, it was eclipsed because oil based clear films were less expensive and could be ‘engineered’ to perform different functions in packaging! Good that we’re seeing more of it as it’s biodegradable as you say! Excellent video again!

You have been spoiling us for content over the last few days. It's not often you're in a dialogue in the videos, so I enjoyed that change. Another good watch
Great review team! A little present for Steph if she likes chocolate mousse. Here’s a three ingredient recipe I make for vegan friends. Refrigerate a tin of coconut cream overnight. Pour off any liquids and beat the solid coconut cream until it increases in volume. Add quality dark drinking cocoa powder (Most Dutch and Italian brands are milk-free) and sugar to taste. Beat until blended and serve. Hope she enjoys it.
When I started watching your scambaiting vids, I genuinely didn’t think I’d get into your random videos. And now it’s the most enjoyable part of your channel for me.

The idea of hazelnut paste is interesting. There's a traditional Italian chocolate called gianduia that's made with hazelnut powder instead of milk. It's my favourite type of chocolate -- the taste is amazing.
If you ever find yourself bored by chocolate with salt in it, just try the "Tony's Chocolonely" brand milk chocolate caramel sea salt - all their varieties are colour coded, so for that one you want the orange coloured wrapper. It's an expensive chocolate bar at almost £4 for a 180 gram bar, but it's worth it - the quality and flavour beats the pants off damn nearly any other chocolate brand. As for the nut "milks", I've tried exactly the same tiger nut drink and I really like it, but a close runner up has got to be the "Alpro" brand hazelnut milk, which has a nutty creaminess to it and is really refreshing when drunk cold. Or you can heat it up (either in the microwave or in a pan) and whisk some dark chocolate into it, for a hot chocolate drink which becomes more or less like liquefied nutella.
I am too but thankfully it isn't too bad. I can have milk with cereal or hard cheese like emmental or cheddar without much issue. Yoghurt, soft cheese and especially clotted cream has terrible effects on my gut though, which is a shame because I find it so delicious.
I used to have issues when something was too "milky", but Pepto helped me a lot and lowkey tastes good-the original, not the cherry. Cherry Pepto tastes like cough syrup in a tablet.
The NOMO bars are quite good too. Our local chocokate producer is Kinnerton & they have a factory outlet in Fakenham sells the stuff off dirt cheap. They're one of the only chocolate producers to do genuine nut free chocolate. The NOMO bars are 2 for £1 in the factory shop my wide is vegan thru choice & loves them They literally divided the factory, bought new machines, colour coded uniforms, equipment & tools so nothing from the nut side can get into the nut free side. Look for Kinnerton on the label they make lots of stuff for supermarkets like M&S & they make most of the advent calendars for kids.
I finally saw this video a year after you made it! I have never noticed these chocolate bars in Sainsburys or Tesco's now I will have a much closer look for them I hope they're still available!
I loved that Fanta last year, just after Halloween my local co-op had lots of them left over and were selling them for 50p a bottle, I bought a considerable amount! I was gutted when I ran out. Hope they bring them out again this Halloween.
Cadbury Bournville is vegan. Its the "milkiest" dark chocolate I've found. It has a similar taste and texture to dairymilk. The galaxy stuff is really nice but if you're just looking for simple chocolate flavour the Bournville is the one to go for. Alpro rice milk is my favorite milk alternative. If you use it in coffee or tea, cool them down slightly first.
Vegan Shrimp! Your daughter seems sweet. She scored big on that chocolate haul! I'll look it up, but I would have been interested to know more about what Horchata was about. Yeah, that dark orange drink did not look so great. Here there is a soda brand that is known for making soft drinks in odd flavors....fish, bacon, ketchup, etc. Apparently it all tasted good for the flavors. I tried one, but it was so long ago I don't remember what flavor it was. It tasted flat. I rarely drink soada....way too much sugar. Don't like overly sweet things.
I also have a dietary requirement not to consume milk and I have only recently heard of these chocolates. Thank you for your review, I will be buying these soon. Can't wait - like your daughter, I love chocolate but am not a big fan of the bitter-tasting dark chocolate we've been subjected to for so long
I tried the chocolate, It tastes VERY much like a turkish chocolate I used to eat growing up during Ramadan called Solen. The brand was called Solen but they had these small bonbon truffle esque chocolates that tasted the exact same. It's not my cup of tea, but it isn't bad. It's like a creamy nutty bar.
@DriftZ TwoSeven I'm in no way vegan, but "sort of" vegetarian (I don't like to be put in boxes) - I eat vegan food all the time. I don't think the drop out rate from people like me is that high at all - mainly because if I want to eat meat I will: I simply don't want to. Would I eat vegan chocolate - yeah.
Vegan food is still a minority but it often gets lumped in along side other free from foods that cater to other specific dietary needs like gluten free. Of course those are in the minority as well. But there's plenty of snowflakes these days that will convince themselves they have dietary needs as well that helps the free from range gain a better market foothold. That's good news for people that do genuinely suffer from food alergys as the pretenders help to push the price down. If you went back 20 years you would be hard pressed to find any food product actively advertising itself as free from. And when you could find it it would be stupidly overpriced.

They also do a Caramel Peanut one that is like a vegan Snickers but better. The Galaxy ones are mediocre at best and too expensive for what they are.

If your daughter has a thing for chocolate and orange, then Belgian 'posh' chocolate is something to look at.
Lots of varieties going from orange peel to orange sponge filled chocolate. Not sure if many are available without any lactose.
so delighted to find you got kids steph is a lovely young lady i take it she is ok with oat milk as like me nut milk does taste little fluffy on the tongue still laughing xx
I wonder how many centuries it'll take before this gets into my country
By Grabthar’s Hammer!! It’s a Galaxy Quest!
If you’re interested in trying a really decent (ethical) vegan chocolate bar that does a good chocolate orange flavour, try a brand called Prodigy. You and your daughter will not be disappointed. They also do a Caramel Peanut one that is like a vegan Snickers but better. The Galaxy ones are mediocre at best and too expensive for what they are.
Nah, they have a very 'unique ' flavour, so they may or may not like it but I hated it.
Interestingly, the substitute milk with nuts, however nuts itself is quite allergen. so its like solving one problem with introducing another
couverture is normally made with extra cocoa butter for the gloss
Yum!
I just died of wholesome
Terry's is just the best right? :D glad you've found a substitute Steph :)
SO jealous of you for being able to get any kind of vegan milk chocolate. I can only get dark chocolate here in Tasmania. My husband comes from the U.K. and used to love to eat Galaxy bars.
I love this co-op. Make more of these with your... Daughter? Wife? Either way, cool video. Would love to try these.
