Nicely Done. Another great vid. Please keep making them, there's a solid conveying of exactly what it might be like and I'm watching as recon for future. Happy 2024!
I love this video ❤️thank you so much for making the effort to video the run last weekend. What a tough run it is, but such a rewarding challenge! Thank you so much once again 🙏🏻👊🏻🏃♂️🏃🏽♀️
Great effort, well done, I did like the music in this vid, appreciate the effort you put in to making these :=) PS they had more food at CP2 then at the hole of UTMB UTS!
Thanks for the kind words - it's really nice to know all the effort is appreciated and valued! The music is important to me! Playlist: DJ Crisps: Never Gonna Stop; Yosh: Show Me; Faze Action: Fantasy. And yeah - you probably clocked a few of my barbed comments about a race that may or may not have been UTS 😂
@@thelaidbackrunner Thank you. I will look into that. When you got to half way I was waiting for you to change your socks. Best thing I did was stick a spare pair in my backpack 👍🏼
@@johnflorio8425 luckily, an amazing guy had a spare pair. he had some dry ones for his partner, but amazingly had an extra pair for himself even though he wasn't running, and gave them to me. LIFESAVER!
Correct! It is a fenix 6x pro solar. I had problems with battery before, but the trick is to turn off all the connections, so it's not polling your phone for bluetooth and not searching for wifi. I also use the 'ultra running' mode, so you can press lap when you're at a pitstop to avoid it wasting valuable gps energy when it's not needed. I get really good battery life when I'm not draining the heck out of it with connections that aren't needed. I didn't use maps for this one, as I knew it'd be a very well marked route, but have used maps with those settings, and it's been fine.
Made it before it went dark! Great effort. That must have been a real struggle in places, especially with the blisters. Well done 💪🏃♂️
thanks!! it really was a struggle, but it goes to show what you can achieve with a bit of strategy and a lot of walking! appreciate the comment!
Wow! Well Done!
Thanks!

Great run! Thank you so much for sharing all the details of the aid stations, really helpful in planning for next year :)
You’re welcome! I mainly go to RUclips to find out about aid stations, so this is my gift back to all the people who helped me plan before 😊😊
Thank you for the snack and meal details - amazing selection.
it's 95% of the reason we're all looking at my vid, let's face it 😜
Excellent video, Cracking tunes too, well done
I pay particular attention to the tunes, so glad they were noticed!

Fantastic effort. Doing it straight through is amazing. I done the 2 day option. It nearly broke me. Can I ask what camera you used?
Thanks very much, and well done to you as well! When my feet were soaked, I was very jealous of the 2-dayers!! Camera was a GoPro 11 Black.

Congratulations, great video and brings back some great and not so great memories of the event. 😂
Hope you’ve recovered well
thanks! was the same for me!! yep - just about back on track now 😛
Was that a Garmin I saw? What kind of gps setting did you use to be sure of 15hours?
