The bread is great but the real blessing is your daughter who is adorable ...
I love that you pray over your bread when you are making it.
this really does make a difference. if anyone ever saw that movie, "Like Water for Chocolate" the woman's energy was going into the foods she made........I do this and truthfully, there is a difference.
I’ve just started milling my own flour. I’m late to the game. I’m 72. But I’m hoping you are never too old to learn. I didn’t want to use yeast so this is just what I need. Thank you so much
That’s amazing!
I’ve just started milling my own too & also 72 👍😊
I love the fact that you are teaching your children how to do this valuable lesson.
so good, this is how we should be living and raising our kids...........God bless you and thank you.
I watch lots of RUclips videos related to food/bread making. Something about the way you show/explain them, including your personality, makes your instructions easy to replicate.
God has blessed you with a very sweet kitchen helper. No wonder the sourdough turned out so well. Thanks for the video. My grown son, Travis, has had issues with gluten all his life; maybe this is the answer we have waited for all these years. Thank you so much. With blessings, Eric
Watching your little helper brings me back to my childhood helping mom make our bread. I'm now 58 and still baking bread in this manner.
I'm sure the bread was great but the picture of mom and her babies baking bread is priceless...Thank you for sharing...
I just wanna thank you, I've tried sourdough starter before and failed. But watching your videos you give me hope. Also I love how you go into detail and explain so clearly.
I wanna thank you, I made the starter 3 days ago today and it's thriving. I'm very excited. Will I be able to use it in a couple days to make sourdough bread?
It's really nice to see young people Going back to the old ways And teaching They're kid It's the memories you're all going Enjoy the rest of your Lives keep up the good work Yall have a good day
Absolutely… family is so underrated in this modern world
I am so glad l found your channel, the only one that makes sense with no waste sourdough.
This is a simple way to do bread, but was wondering if you would give actual details on rising times, temps, etc.
I Love your videos! Thanks so much for your recipe also! Could you share what oven temp you use and how long do you bake your loaf?
Your children are adorable & I love how you are teaching by including your little one in the process. She will grow up just naturally knowing how to bake this💕
😊I would absolutely LOVE if you made some videos of fresh milled ancient grain sourdough bread recipes!!🙏
I have always been intimidated by the whole sourdough bread process and couldn't get over wasting so much good food! Thank you so much for such a easy to follow demonstrations in your videos.
Hello everyone, I am very impressed by your videos, especially the simplicity of making them. Yesterday I started the yoghurt starter for my bread following your instructions and I'm really looking forward to the new bread. I find it remarkable that such a young woman and mother applies such basic health considerations in her home. By the way, I make yogurt the same way, but the idea with the cooler bag is brilliant. I use an old yogurt maker, which is too small for me, and also a Styrofoam box. Your method is simpler because everything fits in the box. I love the simple solutions. All the best and warm greetings from Bavaria! Ursula
O.M.G. Your little helper is too cute!! I so miss the days when my daughter was that young and she was developing her vocabulary. To witness the pure innocence and the wonder my kid had at that age was such a blessing. Oh, and I look forward to making your starter and following your videos to improve my bread making game. Thanks!
I have been wanting to make sourdough, but didn’t want to end up wasting the discard and added flour. I’m so glad I waited so I can use your no waste method! (I always wondered how women throughout history were able to keep up with it!)
You said it!!
Just found her channel tonight and am so encouraged!
3:42 is where she starts showing how to activate the EZ starter.
I keep a thick starter, myself, so really am appreciating this video. So many vids show the 100% hydration starter, and it has been (really) hit or miss getting from my thick, dry starter, to a loaf of bread.
Thank you so much.
What a Sweetheart of a Helper!
O MY GOSH! I have IBS and im so glad you explained how sourdough is better for you!! THANKS! Plus, sourdough is my fave. 😊❤
Just found your channel , I’m 48 and loving the recipe you are showing. Tips and tricks my grandmother used with the goal of saving money and not to be gourmet
Please include recipe, how long you knead, and the baking temp & time with your video... Would love to try your's before trying the starter with old recipes...
Your method looks so much easier / less complicated and more successful than others I have tried with less than desireable results.. I was thinking that I would never have good results, but now hopeful as I know this is so much better all the way around than purchased bread.. Thank you so much [ your sous chef is so adorable]
When it comes to kneading bread dough, you just knead it until it's smooth & does not stick to you. There isn't a set time, you just have to get to know the right feel & it will vary depending on weather - especially humidity.
How long does she bake it & what temperature?@ChrisJohnsonCJs-Kitchen

She is a good little helper God bless
I like how you teach your daughter to bake. I learned to bake bread from my father. My grandfather was a baker.
She is so adorable. Love how she pats the bread dough so gently.
You are teaching her right…..it tastes better when you have a hand in the making food and it bonds your kids to you as nothing else…both my boys learned to cook and can even do some things better than mom…enjoy your time with her and get her brother to cook with you too..
Sourdough is one of my favorites! I like to make French toast with it too, the tangy bread with the sweetness of the syrup makes a nice combination. Love seeing the little ones participating and having so much fun in the kitchen!
Such a sweet mama teaching her little one. Precious teaching in asking the Lord to be with your bread making❤️
So sweet, she wants help and get her, hands on that dough, so much! What a sweetheart! Good helper. lol
looks gorgeous!
Thank you so much for this!! Your little helper is just the cutest 😄
Thank you for simplifying this process. You have the best helpers.
I really appreciate the way you teach. You make it make sense. Ty ty
I love every thing about this!
Beautiful bread and family, what wonderful memories and lessons you’re sharing with your girls.
THANK YOU!! You simplify this sooooo much!!

You are a great teacher. Just found you this evening and subbed. Thanks.
Fantastic work and thanks for the great recipe for bread 🍞
Thx for the recipies. 😊
Just found your channel and made your starter. Finally found a starter that’s working for me! Thank you! ❤
Thanks to you and Shai baking my first loaf tomorrow
Your little helper is adorable 😊
So glad you are making bids again, thanks
That’s a gorgeous loaf of bread!🤩
I am a beginner at bread-making so at what temperature do you bake it at and for how long? It looks delicious and I love that you include your children in the bread making process, that's a memory they'll keep for the rest of their lives!
That'd be nice to know. Lol. When I make French bread it's at 400 for 25 minutes, egg white wash and bake for 5 more. The Regular bread I make is at 375 for 30. Knock on it and if it sounds hollow it's done.
@@Lisalynne-ck9gf thank you and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year! God bless!
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
I'm also new to sour dough, but I cooked mine "loaf style" at 350 with a pan of water in the oven with it for 30 min , then removed the pan of water and baked another 15 min , I tempted it til it got 200 & its delicious,, I will say proofing it made it resemble a bagel bread, great for toasting , sandwiches & grilled cheese,,
It's just what worked for me and was successful,, I'm sure there's 500 ways to make it lol
Happy baking God bless
You did a GREAT JOB with this video and I learned a lot.❤❤‼
Just found your channel, and happy I did. I will be making your sourdough starter. I have made others but hated the constant feeding and discarding. Thank you!
I could eat this every day, sweet or savory. Thank you for sharing!!! Both you ladies are so fun to watch : )
Glad to see a recipe that’s not so plain. Gonna try this soon.
You have the best helper 😊.thank you girls
I followed the instructions almost exactly, just baked inside a Dutch oven bc I had to use a small convection oven. The result was a beautiful round bread, and Delicious too...even though I forgot to score it until 20 mins in🙄. Thank you❤

Yay thank you! I have had #sourdoughgoals for a while now, but always felt so disheartened by all the complicated instructions!!😂 Abundant blessings to you and your family!❤
I am so glad I found you. My starter I started 5 days ago. Have not had a rise yet but it smells like bread. I am waiting for it to rise so I can make my 1st loaf of sourdough bread ever! Thank you
She is Absolutely Stunning Helper 😍
Such happy kids. They love this and their beautiful mom!
I'm taking these recipes to try - and this little doll you have is a delightful.

Love the fancy shoes! She is a fabulous helper with endless enthusiasm.
Came across your channel today and I am thankful for you content. I am now going to go back to sourdough baking. I watched your starter tutorial and it certainly drew me in. Your baking results have cinched the deal. xo
Enjoying your videos very much. I will try the starter this week.
Would love to see a recipe without milk, and also a bit more detail on times, oven temperature, etc.
Happy new year and thank you!
I’m new to sour dough so I have a few questions..do you cover your bread while it raises? How long do you let it raise? How many times? Do you preheat your pan before you put the bread in to bake? What temp do you bake?
I have all the same questions… it seems like we were supposed to know already how to rise and bake the bread lol
She says in the video two rises. That's what regular bread calls for, also.
She did say that it can take twice as long as regular yeast bread to rise.
Regular bread depends on the temperature of your kitchen. If it's warm it will raise quicker than if it's cool.
Most baked goods call for a preheated oven. The only time I don't preheat is with yeast or sourdough bread when I let it rise in the oven the second rise. Then I turn the oven on a little before I think it's fully risen if it's in a pan, so it doesn't fall over the sides.
I've seen bread recipes bake anywhere from 350° F -400°F.
I would look at other sourdough recipes and see the temperature.
Covering is up to you. I do on the first rise and the second one if it's out of the oven. I don't cover the second rise if I put it in the oven.
Hope that helps.
Great video. Kids are so cute!
🥰 Thanks for sharing. I had always heard that ginger helps to inspire yeast and love ginger so I add a pinch, and now I've learned there's also caraway which I love as well. I noticed a seed in your loaf of bread. yum
love your t shirt thanks for the recipe
Thanks! And you’re welcome!
Thanks so much you make it look so easy. I'm just starting to make my own bread and I started my sourdough starter about five days ago but i was doing the discard & i gotta tell ya that's definitely not the way to go because it's so wasteful. I'm so glad i came across your videos so i can still make sourdough without all the wasting. So grateful thank you. Oh & your bread looks amazing.
That's the way I started mine as well, did you redo yours with buttermilk and seeds or just continue with your process and store in the fridge when it was done?? Cause now I don't know if I need to start over lol
Awww your little girly is so darling!
Aww, what a lovely little girl you have!
Praise the lord I found you!!! Your sourdough starter so easy to do I’m definitely going to try it! Blessings!!!
Your cohost/sign language translator did a wonderful job 👍😉. May I have some crest please 😁
Hello, I am very happy that I joined your wonderful channel, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for teaching us how to make yeast and how to make rich, delicious bread. Your teaching is clear, useful, and easy to apply without any complications. from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Just made a loaf of bread using your starter idea, after trying 2x to make the usual sourdough starter, that failed 2x too. It rose, baked well, going to try it today sometime.
What is the temperature and how long you bake this for ? And also how long roughly it takes for dough to rise
I would LOVE to have you share this info too! Oven temp and how long? Do you stick a thermometer into bread to see if it’s done and what temp on thermometer do you call done? THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR VIDEO! You make it look so easy and Love having your recipe! God Bless you and your cute family!
At 71 I’m giving this a try this weekend 😂😂
Thanks for sharing ❤
Beautiful bread job well done. I used to make 25 gallons of starter or more a day. Sourdough is the best. Throw some roasted garlic and rosemary into it yummy. Have a wonderful day. Just subscribed
Your little girl is beautiful! What a great helper!❤️
Just made my sourdough bread using your recipe for the sourdough starter , turned out amazing so just wanted to say thank you
How long did you bake and at what temperature? Thanks in advance. Many have asked with no reply.
@erinmilam2577 pre heated oven for 1 hour at 230 degrees Celsius with dutch oven baked for 30 minutes with lid on and then reduced temp to 200 degrees Celsius and baked without lid for 15 minutes
Yum yum thank you so much

Your sous chef looks just like mine. Love herrrr!!
Thank you so much!…I don’t know you personally but I love you and your precious little girl so much. And I feel confident, now, that I can set off on a sourdough adventure!
