I'm an older man that took up bread making a few years ago. Just in the past couple of weeks I made my first sourdough starter and first loaf. I was surprised at how well it turned out. There are a lot of videos on how to make sourdough bread. I have found most hard to follow or just over complicated. Yours was great. You have a very calming voice, and you make steps very easy to follow along. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.

So far, I’ve been able
Yo follow you to the letter.
My timing is still off though, I will figure that out too. But when I thought it would be doubled was around 4am.
Even though it has doubled, it’s still too sticky to form. I panicked and put a tiny bit of flour on the one blob, instead of ball that’s what I have. So I stopped, let it set for 15 minutes and I’ll start again, trying to form it into balls to put in bowls. I’m gonna have to refrigerate it after that, before I can bake it.
I have the sandwich bread behind this and I’m doing two loaves. I let it proof on the counter as well and it will have to be formed and then put in the fridge and brought back out when I can bake it. 😢
I cried tears of joy watching this after years of trying about every way out there. No mixer or kneading needed. All fermented and so soft for my hubby’s sandwiches and his fave rolls! Many many thanks. You have blessed this house!

So well done!!! I just learned a month ago how to make your starter! I’ve never baked bread before! I am 63 years old! Last week I made the dinner rolls beginner, sourdough boule and your sandwich bread! Followed all 3 to the letter! All 3 turned out so perfect!!!!
I’m a beginner in my sourdough journey and I’ve tried so many recipes… all subpar. But this crusty sourdough boule recipe has been the best. I’ve made it too many times to count and it’s been great everytime. I love how you’ve simplified the process. thank you for putting out this video!
Just got my first rye sourdough starter after many months of trying. I made rye bread and it was pretty good.

You have made a believer out of me again. I gave up my starter several years ago as I just wasn't using it. Just called my friend that I had given starter to 4 years ago and I'm picking up a little starter for myself so I can get going tomorrow. I know that store bought bread is unhealthy. I've always known that but so easy just to pick up a loaf. Sourdough is healthy and so good for our guts. Thank you for this video...

I’ve been trying different starters and recipes for a few years. This is by far the easiest and best recipe I’ve found!! 5 stars to you healthy Elizabeth! I’ve made the sourdough boule 4 times and every time I make it it gets better!!! I’m sharing with everyone I think would be interested!
I made the Seeded Boulle today for the second time. Beautiful and excellent but I baked in starting in a cold oven with a cold DO. 50 minutes at 450 closed then 10 minutes open to 210 degrees. Perfect! Thank you!! This cold oven thing just blows me away!!

I made my sourdough "starter" myself. It takes about a week to capture enough wild yeast in the air but then you are all set!
