What surprised me the most about 2015 was the amount of television stars that had passed away. I knew many of them growing up, but I didn’t realize all of them left us in 2015. Many others as well. Seems like an awful lot.😢 Great video very well done, thank you for these memories.❤
The one I most remember from this year was Lynn Anderson. That one came out of nowhere - dead at 67 from a heart attack. I listened to her music as a kid and teenager, back in the '70s and '80s. Her rich legacy will live on.
@SuperMhinton that's very sad ! 😔 especially since thre are legends that are still alive and up in age too ! I guess it all depends how long they put those steroids, etc in their bodies, and when they finally quit.Regardless I was a huge fan of Piper !
I remember the year before i finally fulfilled a lifetime dream to see prog rock legends Yes in concert. Their music is something I remember from my childhood and they played the two albums with the exact songs in the exact sequence, that is of course “Fragile” and “Close to the Edge” The most notable band member of course instrumental to their music was Chris Squire. Half a year later I was in shock of the news of his passing. Long live his legacy, the greatest bass guitarist in prog rock history.
There's more to Gary Richrath than meets the eye, he either wrote, or co-wrote (with Kevin Cronin) the majority of REO Speedwagon's body of work during his time with them, including "Keep On Loving You", "Time For Me to Fly", and "Can't Fight This Feeling", and he is ranked among the top 100 greatest guitarists of all time. R.I.P. Gary Richrath, you will be missed.
Well done Vince! Thank you for doing 2015...11:24 the voiceover is George "Spanky" McFarland, another child star from The Little Rascals. I own the entire series and that's him. Dickie was in a few memorable episodes with Spanky. Without a doubt 2012 - 2016, so much talent on all sides. RIP to All!
I understand that there were many celebrity deaths in 2015. But another notable, and extremely unexpected death was music composer James Horner, who composed Star Trek II and III as well as Titanic and Avatar.
Three Chicago sports icons all died 2015: Billy Pierce a great pitcher Minnie Minoso integrated the Chicago White Sox ("Cupcake" Annette and "Sugar Bear" Alice's favorite baseball team) and Ernie Banks likewise integrated the Chicago Cubs.
You left out Zsa Zsa Gabor's daughter, Francesca Hilton, who died on January 5 that year. She was at this restaurant in Los Angeles with her fiance, when she went into the restroom, and she never came out. She was only 67.
Great seeing you Steve. So glad your illness didn't affect your awesome knowledge of the world of trucks and cars. There's no one better. Keep getting better.
Yvonne Craig will always be Batgirl, Judy Carne was actually tormented on the TV program Laugh In Sock It To Me and they actually socked it to her. Patrick McNee was the narrator, the Cylon imperial leader, and also Count Iblis in Battleship Galactica. I didn't know that Meadowlark Lemon, Martin Milner, Yogi Berra, Gary Owens, Al Molinaro, Cory Wells, Vera from Alice all died in 2015.
Mike Porcaro of Toto died in 2015 of ALS. His older brother Jeff, a fantastic drummer, and a founding member of Toto, died several years earlier of a horrible reaction to some insect killer he was applying to his yard. Both were such terrible losses to the band!
You left out Amanda Peterson, the actress who starred in the 1987 movie "Can't Buy Me Love". She died on July 3 from drug-related causes just days before her 44th birthday.
As usual a beautiful video. Would like to give Honorable Mention to actress Lizbeth Scott, best known for her role in film The Strange Love of Martha Ivers. Passed away from congestive heart failure on January 31, 2015
You do a really great job on these videos. Happy holidays to you and yours. In addition to the credits listed, Robert Loggia also starred in the TV series T.H.E. Cat in the mid-1960s.
Are you sure? I’ve always read that he worked in Military intelligence and was so protective of his work there that a fan once asked him if he worked in military intelligence “Can you keep a secret?” he asked “Yes, of course” “So can I” and he walked away
FYI: Not only did Chris Squire and Lemmy Kilmeister both play Rickenbacker bass guitars, They both had a signature model bass that Rickenbacker built in their honor.👍
My parents took me to see the Harlem Globetrotters in London when a young Meadowlark Lemon was playing for them. I remember them all coming out to the tune of Sweet Georgia Brown. RIP ML. Thanks for the memories.
12:44. Paul Prudhomme could easily have been Dom Deluise's twin brother-they looked so much alike. Both he and Dom were 75 at the time oh their passing, but Dom died in 2008, so was slightly older.
4:30 Jayne Meadows recounting how she earned $165 a week during her 7-year run on I've Got A Secret (1952 - 1958) and from that, she had to pay the government, her agent and the rent for the apartment she shared with her sister. Ha! My father earned $65 a week. He also had to pay the government and, as the sole wage earner of the family, pay the mortgage and provide for his wife and six kids.
Lynn Anderson is remembered mostly for her country music career but she had another career that gained her fame in the Equestrian community. Over the course of her life, Anderson had won 16 national championships, eight world championships and some celebrity championships. She also bred Quarter Horses.
Christopher Lee, The Frown of Frowns, The Villain in Return From Witch Mountain. Wes Craven August 2, 1939 - August 30, 2015 Artist and Filmmaker. Maureen O'Hara Mary Parkin in The Christmas Box.
You credited Beth Howlan as being in the original cast of Sondheim's "Company " but Dean Jones, who predeceased her by several months, was also in that cast.
I think music composer James Last should be listed. After nearly 50 years are arranging and conducting his orchestra and selling millions of records. He died in 2015.

Wow most people who passed away in this year had quite a long life including many in their 90s. Think I only saw two people under 60, one died by suicide and one from an overdose so neither from a disease. I’ve also noticed most years there’s always someone who appeared in The Twilight Zone
Christopher Lee also played one of the best villains in the James Bond series, Francisco Scaramanga, The Man With the Golden Gun
Thank you. I lost my mother in 2015 and am watching this on Mother's Day, 2024. Irony.
R. I. P. to Donna Douglas (Elly May) Rod Taylor from the 1963 Movie The Birds and played Frank Agretti on Falcon Crest. Happy Holidays everyone.
What surprised me the most about 2015 was the amount of television stars that had passed away. I knew many of them growing up, but I didn’t realize all of them left us in 2015. Many others as well. Seems like an awful lot.😢

Donna Douglas was my childhood crush.
Christopher Lee was also a veteran of the war between the Soviet Union and Finland as well as WWII.
The one I most remember from this year was Lynn Anderson. That one came out of nowhere - dead at 67 from a heart attack. I listened to her music as a kid and teenager, back in the '70s and '80s. Her rich legacy will live on.
And she was gorgeous. Sad to learn of her passing.😓
This was probably the biggest shocker to me that year as well. She was a huge star back in the day.
Roddy Piper was right about that prediction!
Yes, that was eerie.
What prediction ?
@ericmangels4917 he predicted that he wouldn't make the age of 65, and he was right. He died at the age of 61
@SuperMhinton that's very sad ! 😔 especially since thre are legends that are still alive and up in age too ! I guess it all depends how long they put those steroids, etc in their bodies, and when they finally quit.Regardless I was a huge fan of Piper !
"They" finally got him!
Donna Douglas was so pretty and so was Yvonne Craig!
I remember the year before i finally fulfilled a lifetime dream to see prog rock legends Yes in concert.

I have been and always shall be your friend. Live long and prosper.
I almost used that quote.

I understand that there were many celebrity deaths in 2015. But another notable, and extremely unexpected death was music composer James Horner, who composed Star Trek II and III as well as Titanic and Avatar.

My father Oscar passed away 11/17/2015 still heartbroken 💔👴🏼😭
You left out Zsa Zsa Gabor's daughter, Francesca Hilton, who died on January 5 that year. She was at this restaurant in Los Angeles with her fiance, when she went into the restroom, and she never came out. She was only 67.

Christopher Lee will be one of the best vampire ever made, Bela Lugosi is actually number 1 ever made. Great people who's gonna be missed.
Ingrid Pitt, THE best Female Vampire of all time.
Lynn Anderson also was a semi-regular on "The Lawrence Welk Show", and Jim Perry hosted a Canadian game show, "Headline Hunters", in the early 1970s.
Is that anything like Wink Martindale's Headline Chasers?
Mike Porcaro of Toto died in 2015 of ALS. His older brother Jeff, a fantastic drummer, and a founding member of Toto, died several years earlier of a horrible reaction to some insect killer he was applying to his yard. Both were such terrible losses to the band!
Overlooked here is James Last, German born Band leader and Composer who died on 9 June age 86.

Thanks for that!
He also played Richard Gere’s father in An Officer and A Gentleman…one of my favorite movies!🥰
He also starred as Elfego Baca for Walt Disney.
Christopher Lee was Fighter Pilot during WWII
Are you sure? I’ve always read that he worked in Military intelligence and was so protective of his work there that a fan once asked him if he worked in military intelligence
“Can you keep a secret?” he asked
“Yes, of course”
“So can I” and he walked away

Well you win. 😅
@@jmysterio100 Not the point, as you well know. It's celebrities complaining when they, in fact, are very well off compared to most.

Over the course of her life, Anderson had won 16 national championships, eight world championships and some celebrity championships. She also bred Quarter Horses.
I knew her as a big country star when I was younger, but I've also read she was equally well-known in the equestrian world.
This is breaking my heart 💔
God bless everyone

Notable omission to this list is Stuart Scott, longtime espn anchor. Died 1/4/15

Once again, there is no such thing as accidental overdose
Michael Hordern played Jacob Marley, young and old, in A Christmas Carol (AKA Scrooge), not Patrick MacNee.
Left out taylor nergon aka manulo so little time
Sorry...😔but everyone dies
Probably in the minority but I find the voiceovers annoying and time consuming. Yeah I can mute it but then I miss the nice music.
