i first was a little disappointed in the game but this looks like a great way to fix the game...Thank you for showing this expansion. It’s a must buy...
I think the speed demon mutation is one of the best as actions saved by extra movement can be used to camp and I guess everybody is camping pretty often for Well Rested, heal and you can also trade stuff with your coop partner(s). Not mentioning if you are a merchant with the brahmin, you can go crazy with mods on your equipment because it forces you to camp more often.
Hi Matrosh, we've a full schedule of reviews coming up at the moment, but we'll most certainly revist this game in the future and talk specifically about fallout bonds in a comparison video However if you are in doubt as to whether to get it, then i would most certainly urge you to get it. It transforms the game fot the better in many many ways. Id nearly consider it an essential purchase.
@@seanmcnallyactor thanks mate, i already did order it but had to do an extensive research prior so thought it'd be a good idea to give you a heads up to make the review series complete on this game 🤣 your vid persuaded me in the end actually but i would deem it certainly helpful for others in the future to have all expansions reviewed by you.
Hello Sean, I was concidering the game and after your reviews I'm thinking of buying all three boxes, the core and both expansions. Since I have zero experience playing the game myself, I was wondering whether you could answer some questions I have about it. I like to play mostly solo, so how does solo experience is affected by the two expansions? I generally dislike competitive games, so if I wanted to play with another person (that is, strictly 2-player games), should I immediately replace the initial scenarios from the core game with those co-operative ones from Atomic Bonds, or should I play a few times competitively with the other person in order to learn the game and then proceed to the replacement? Is the game enjoyable with only two players? Finally, buying all three boxes is a significant amount of money that could be spent oin another game and bring, arguably, more excitement or joy. Do you think that for someone who hasn't got or played the core game, such a purchace would be wise in terms of gaming enjoyment and pleasure? Thank you in advance for your time.
Thank you for your comment and for checking out our videos. I enjoyed solo play, but i did so by playing more than one character at a time and simply did so co-operatively in spite of the competitive aspect. The scoring system in the core game was badly flawed and quests could be arbitraily stolen by other players in a way that didn't make sense because they were simply closer to the location. We ended up home ruling a co-operative aspect and played for the story eventually before the expansions came. I would most certainly replace the core scenarios with the expansions immediately as it removes the old scoring/ victory system as it copperfasts and gives a proper competitive mechanic to the game. It also gives you more quests and a larger map, as well as two stories per scenario as opposed to one. I wouldn't go out of my way to play competitively with another player to learn the rules as it'll sour the experience a little. (You'll be rule reading and trying to figure out work arounds for where the rules are vague) the best version of this game is the co-op one. As for your last question on value for money. Its a hard one to answer really, i would reccomend all three boxes instead of just the core as you would have a complete and fun experience but my own joy with this game and that of my friends was also influenced by the fact that we are all very big fans of fallout. If its a franchise you love you'll enjoy this game more. If its a franchise you are only fond of, you may not enjoy the game as much. Especially if you haven't played all the fallout games (or at least the modern ones) players who joined me on the games always wanted to play the fallout computer game scenarios they played.
@@seanmcnallyactor You covered almost everything, thank you very much! Just, concidering the number of players, is two a good number or the game needs a crowd of 3 or 4 to shine? I'm no fan of computer games and I've never played this one on a pc but I do enjoy survival games (This War of Mine, Outlive, Dessert Knights. etc) so I think I will enjoy the theme. Oh, yes, also, as far as the Atomic Bonds is concerned, do I have to play two-handed solo with it on, or just one character would suffice?
Great review, thank you! I’m planning on getting vanilla and both expansions, do you think it’s safe to assume that altogether it’s a large experience with big replayability and variety? Also, do you think that both expansions address all issues of the vanilla game? I’m primarily planning to play solo, with 2-3 characters at once. Thank you!
Hi Adrian, they don't address all the issues, but they do address most. I would thoroughly recommend you get both expansions as it'll give you both a solo and co-operative mode to play with. The other beauty of it is that its not too much of a chore to play up to 4 characters if needs be. All you need is the table space :) Happy Christmas to you LR
Thanks BoNeZ. Yeah, it seems like a lot and maybe a bit daunting. Our playthrough videos linked in the description above might be a good place to start to get a feel for the core game in solo mode. We'll be doing more Atomic Bonds coverage too including a planned playthrough in the future.
I just wish this game had pvp too. only makes sense. Fact it doesnt made me sell it off. Just didnt seem like there was any reason to really play with anyone else. haha
Sometimes i try english speaking countries from abroad rather than just my home nation. Australia, netherlands, Canada, Even germany has some forgotten english speaking versions of the game for ex-pats.
@@seanmcnallyactor yes I was able to find on element games uk. I bought from them previously. Also I been reading that there might be a restock in may of the main game and the expansions.
There was no new security cards im afraid. I assume you mean the agenda cards. What is the print error if you dont mind, this is the first ive heard of it
Now that Fallout is fixed we need more expansions!!
100% yes!
Thanks for covering this, it helped me alot to understand this expansion better.
Thanks Mauro! It looks like a great addition to the game and we can't wait to play it!

Thanks Tony V. Totally agree - it's a must buy expansion if you have the original game.
Getting this tomorrow! Maybe this will make my game group hate this game less lol.

Agreed, its a great quality of life addition especially when the map is open and combat gets grindy
Brilliant video! I’m going to order a copy of this expansion
Can you please make a review on this expansion? Thanks a lot

Hi again Erik! Thanks. Yes, plans are afoot to get some proper plays in first in preparation for a review and hopefully a play-through series!

So if we use the brotherhood of steel character and we get the mutation scaly skin. The character cannot move at all?
Great video! Thank you.
