Most of the reviews rate this game pretty low. Personally, I had nothing but enjoyment while playing this game solo. Base game and expansion, feldherr trays for both, Mark Morgan soundtacks in the background, a bit of early Nat King Cole, food prepared from Fallout cookbook and i have a blast in the evening. 'Doom - Board Game' has pretty good ratings, played it twice, it's now collecting dust. Nothing wrong with it - the subjective user experience is what counts in the end. No game is perfect but I come back to Fallout more often than I thought I would.
Im the exact same, i still dust off fallout every now and then. I have played all the scenarios myself but my buddies want to play all the homebrew parts co-operatively. We played fallout 1 last time and sided with the brotherhood. The plan next time is to play the same but side with the master.
@@pawelcichonski4756 I appreciate that and I’m considering buying both... it’s just weak sauce that the game was designed with such issues, and to fix it you need to pay. But thx anyway
Yes, you can solo all of the campaigns except for one. Id also advise you to pick up atomic bonds as well. It adds new mechanics that gives a great freshness to the game.
You can, but familiarity with the franchise would most certainly improve your experience. The games are very often on sale these days, or failing that Amazon will be producing a fallout TV series soon. Id wait to see if you like the franchise before investing in this game
@@seanmcnallyactorthanks, I appreciate it. I loved the idea of survival exploration game in a post apocalyptic wasteland. It sounds reasonable that any familiarity with the franchise will add depth, although in this case I was impressed by the different mechanic, and the gameplay itself looks quite amusing, if not neat.
You can, but to be honest you are better off getting the expansion. The core set has very limited random quest scenarios. The expansion fluffs it out quite a bit.

Well it’s not advertised as a solo game is it. Biggest complaint seems to be that winning and losing against other people can be very random
@@odiedodieuk no longer an issue with the release of 'atomic bonds' expansion :)

Can I enjoy this game with knowing nothing at all about the Fallout universe?
