Sam underestimates black bears. They kill more people than any other bear. A mama with cubs will rip you up and its pretty common for them to kill people sleeping in cars while looking for food.

They're really underestimating Donkey(from the film Shrek). In Shrek 2: The Video Game Donkey is one of the most powerful characters. He has the special ability "Burro Blast", which has been shown historically to blow through boulders, trees and armies of both knight and drunk gnomes who are bothering the kingdom of far far away. He is also shown to have some level of martial arts training, more than likely taught to him by Fiona in between the first and second films. And in many missions despite having no arms, he is shown to be able to lift heavy barrels, rocks and large vegetables roughly the size of a sedan. Donkey is the winner.
Regarding possums, we had a similar issue a few years back. Turns out it's the raccoons that go for the chickens, and the possums are just slow enough to get caught munching on the carcasses left over. Possums themselves are pretty goofy little guys. I have some I've adopted as a garbage disposal, they love scraps and compost. And will even hang out with my cats and let me pet them. Raccoons though, they're hard to spot and can fuck you right up. Possums can easily be punted several yards

In my opinion the intros for the podcast and JIPPY for the main channel are becoming the Vsauce music of the ShekelVerse. Whether they're funny or not that consistency will induce a subconscious emotion reaction similar to comfort food, so think of the intros and JIPPY as the dosing of the audience, turning us into crack rats.
I CAN CONFIRM, Opossums absolutely love to eat chickens. They kill them, eat the guts, and leave it to rot for the next night so it can it it some more. I have killed so many of them doing that, and they are absurdly tough, they just won't die. I've found that a .410 shotgun is the best way to deal with them. Up close it acts like a .40 caliber frangible bullet, but it won't fly off and kill someone a mile away like an actual bullet can. I have tried to go non-lethal and pepper spray it, but it just sat under my shed and dealt with it. Not even bears can handle pepper spray! But a possum is so damn tough that it isn't too bothered.

I think I figured out the tuna fight, since it's in an enclosed pool with you all you have to do is the ancient human style of walking it to death because it will swim away constantly until it gets tired just like regular fishing, then once it's tired enough you just slowly pick it up out of the pool which will be a huge challenge but you have the water to decrease the perceived weight and slowly hoist it out to let it die of oxygen deprivation which might not even take that long since it's already pretty tired
Even a small black bear can fuck you up. They're remarkably strong and athletic, as in they can climb 30 feet up a tree in about two seconds and jump out into a dead sprint without stopping. Carry a gun or at least bear spray. Ideally both. Dogs help a ton too, I've ran bear hunting dogs and they want nothing to do with four 80 pound dogs.
