- We flew our Pietenpol into the middle of the Borrego Desert to have a sub sandwich! Makes total sense, doesn't it? While we were there we took advantage of the remote location to get some rip-roaring ground-to-air footage of our Pietenpol.

Very sad that these beautiful people lost their lives in the cessna 140, they just purchased. RIP.

I'm so grateful to have had my music included as a part of the T&J RUclips page. This is a true "grassroots" page and I'm glad that people are finding it now. I hope it will continue to carry on their love and legacy. RIP.
I'm sorry but I just can't watch . Tears fighting out of my eyes.... I'm 47 years old and crying like a baby.. it's to hard to watch, Please God bless them both in heaven and please bless there loved ones also left behind.. I can't watch.. it hurts me.. I can only imagine how family members etc feel ... which hurts me so much too . God bless you all.. From new Zealand.. south island.... West coast..😢
It was a pleasure meeting you Tim and Joylani on this trip. You two were full of life and I will miss not meeting up with you again until much later. God speed.
Though sad, one thing's for sure. These 2 passed away doing what they obviously loved to do. May their souls rest in peace

@@TangoandJuliet I grew up on Maui and currently reside in the beautiful state of Colorado. I still have family on Maui and try to get back there at least every other year. Growing up we used to visit Oahu as if it were another country LOL. You are a smart man you snagged yourself a local girl :-)

That Pietenpol looks like just the thing for a single guy to throw a tent and sleeping bag in the passenger hole and go cross country camping. After all they do call it an Air Camper.

Cool. I've been there, and when I was there I rented a dirt bike at the shop across the street. Not sure if it's still there (the shop, that is). I'd love to see a video of a landing at Clark's dry lake bed if you ever get over that way. :-)

Cool retro looking plane! Looks like a Fokker DR1 with two wings missing... lol
Did you realize that these beautiful people resently sold this aircraft and brought a Cessna ... They were together flying somewhere special and something happened with the aircraft.. it crashed terribly killing both of them... I didn't know if you know.. there is more information about the crash. You only need to Google it to find out more.. but warning.... it is hurtful to hear and see...

Yes, our windscreens were creating seriously troubling buffet on our tail feathers- it disappeared when we put the old screens back on! So these tall ones are on the shelf for now.
