I've always felt that Wargaming over nerfed the accuracy of the Cromwell's and the Comet. British tanks are all known for their accuracy and fairly small gun reticles with fairly quick aim times. But not the tier 6 and 7 mediums. How can the mediums have worse gun handling than the heavies? I just feel like they made it that way to hold them back, and with all the power-creep over the last 10 years maybe it's time to fix this.
IDK, I feel like Comet's got pretty solid gun handling these days. Compared to Panther which is known for good gun handling, it's got much better bloom stats and not much less in the way of fully aimed accuracy - on top of being a much better platform than a Panther. Cromwell on the other hand? Well for starters, it's faster than most other T6 mediums by a large margin. It's got good DPM, has decent camo for spotting, pretty strong gold round penetration, and good gun depression. All these things should balance out in some way, no?
Honestly, if you really must have a British Premium Medium, get the 5/1 instead not least because of tier 8 payouts of exp, crew exp, and credits. Cromwell B can now face GSOR 1008, 703 II (122), Borats, Spaghetto, etc....
@@jamesknight3070 Cromwell B has even better mobility, so it should have an easier time in +2 matchmaking compared to the Centurion. But my point is that most tanks can't do much against the powerhouses two tiers higher, no matter at which tier. The bigger problem is that tier 6 has to deal with +2 more often because tier 8 is so popular.
I have both and I can say I never use my Cent anymore since it's completely outclassed by my Renegade in the roles it wants to play in the battlefield. I still love taking my Cromwell B out for a spin every once in a while though! GOTTA GO FAST!!! TBH for a crew trainer + meta gaming potential I'd recommend Cobra over both of them 🤷♂
30€ ? I paid 12 a few years back including the bia crew. Don't play it often, the gun handling and slow shells are just I also hate the two low tier maps, which come up way too often.
I paid zero... I earned as one of those Mission Reward tanks. Remember those bygone days? If you completed the mission over a few weeks u could earn some good Tier 6 premiums. This one, the 85M, the 64 etc
The correct way to be doing the things in the Cromwell B is to have a voice-comm platoon of three; press “W” at the end of the countdown, and never lift that finger until the match is over. Many of my favorite games in WoT were in one of these murder platoons. You throw the enemy off balance right at the start, and if you have any decent backup to deal with the danger spots you bypass the red team never has a chance to recover. Basically blitzkrieg on a small map
When it was new it was almost half as cheap and the best tier 6 premium by a mile. It was a no-brainer to buy it. Today? Not even close for that price vs other options on tier 6. It's still a solid hybrid bully sure. But yeah, I agree. It's not even close to be worth the price today.
One of my first prem tanks 8 years ago, was very popular in tier 6 skirmishes. Now i play only tier 8+, but recently 3 marked it. Gun is very trollish, it is better for spotting imo. WG is greedy, this used to be one of the best offers for 12 euros + bonus bia crew.
So interestingly, WoT can be bought through Steam, and sometimes tanks go on sale on the Steam store that are not on sale anywhere else. My friend picked up the Cromwell B from the steam store for $6 AUD, or about 4 euros. It was 80% off at the time.
I'd appreciate a revisit for the Tier 6 KV-1S, been trying to master it and it has its moments, has its strengths, and with that, many weaknesses. I could use advice on marking it. And I can't help but really love the tank.
16:42 typical cromwell moment - stop, fully aim for 5 seconds, miss, try again, bounce, get slapped in return. The only thing you can do with this gun is go close autoaim and circle. They should reduce the bloom while moving to 0,20 at least, the meta is just too fast. I was so frustrated with the gunhandling i went full spotting build with LNE, its the only way you can be useful
@@Darthlegopokemon i mean I agree... but even with a full gun loadout, its terrible. Insta sell for me, especially when the t34-85 and the VK exist lol
Buying a tank with BIA crew is an insanely good budget. Thinking about how much money you have to pay for those crews, and I simply taking out my credit card.😂
Why pay 30-42E to get premimum version of tech tree tank??? And its 6 tier,42E is like few good new pc games or 8 tier tank in sale... And yes Crom B gun handling is not best, hitting in move is impossible,be sniper is hard too because shell speed is bad,yes mobility is like LT and 32 camo is great too. If tank cost 10-15E no problem but 30-42??? NO!

the comet has the second best gun handling at tier 7, it only feels inaccurate sometimes because of the slow shell velocity
@@mappies123 Maybe it's just me then, but I've always felt like the reticle is huge and slow to aim on them.
@@TheSelfeDestruct it basically has the same issue as the stb-1 tbh

I don't get your reasoning here. The Centurion can meet the Type 5 Heavy which it can't penetrate and gets killed in two shots by.
Not to mention getting sheet on by tanks with CVS. What a terrible addition to the game...
@@picklejho5833 Type 5 has two frontal weakpoints that a 5/1 can pen, otherwise use the mobility and flank.

This tank is great with everything except the gun. The gun makes me HATE this tank.

Hey @skill4ltu it’s been a few years since I last played but I still love your content. Keep up all your great content!
back in time cromwell b deal (and others) was only way to get zero perk bia crew other than campaign missions. old times.
@skill4ltuextra try a spotting build with bond/adv equip for the T8 as its an amazing scout
Got this for free with D-day tokens 11/06/2024
Does the crew come with brothers in arms TRAINED to 100% or as a zero perk??
I got this tank for free recently. Don't remember why. Still have low skill crew, so struggling, but speed is awesome.
I learned to play WoT with this tank in tier 6 skirmishes, such good times and fun tank to play. Teaches you how to be sneaky annoying son of banana.

I love the Cromwell B

Why buy this when you can buy firefly?
This game is not worth spending money on. It's dead and you all can't save it.
