I try to have a theme with my camps a well. I have a red rocket gas station for one camp. Another a BOS barracks. My main camp has a bar with a stage area for musicians. Another camp I have is a cultist camp.
I love this. Very easy to understand for a beginning. One thing though, I recommend putting conduits on the roof instead of inside. Just a little cleaner so you don’t have wires through your walls.
I usually put them on the roof myself, but just incase someone wanted to put a popcorn or vending machine in their house I showed this trick. I did explain that certain stuff such as lights only have to be close to a conduit. But a popcorn or vending machine needs to be directly hooked up. Thanks for watching buddy, appreciate the feedback
That's a nice build my camps are always just cubes that get bigger and bigger each time I build them 😂 I've seen some really good camps and some really basic ones while playing this game it's cool seeing how ppl build their stuff
Ive had like 3 450 level characters and my camps have all been pretty basic. I messed around with a prefab and some merging techniques recently though and noticed a lot more people visiting my camp. Use a 2nd camp unmarked as a practice/blueprint location when your vendor is cleared enough and you can mess up all you want without worry
Yh my base is pretty awesome I even used alien catwalks on the second level of the base to walk from one side to the otherside covering the front, guard watch area.i built a lakeside base with the slocom prefab sunk into the flooring so nothing sticks out look really cool can walk into my base or turn left then right into the slocom prefab got barbed wire going all around. And the paddock fence as support inside the base going around the floor so you can't just drop off onto the stairs. Lots of details got a comic room a ammo maker room with alien stash box and radiation glove a whole lounge downstairs dark wood floors brick wallpaper carnivorous plants a power armor display a generator room for my molerat fusion generator a toilet/bathroom at the backdoor there an entrance to my workshops and the industrial water tanks. Then I somehow connect flooring around the back that connect to the slocum prefab building and turnt them into dirt tiles placed my food there had enough room for 3 tiles 12 mutfruitplants got my chicken coop there to my wood scraps and turbo fertiliser. And barbwire going around the edge of the flooring. Guide for good builds for novice builders use the pointy roofs not the flat shaped ones. Just looks better all round. Mix glass walls with cabi or brick walls for the best look. I don't have the glass walls yet though using brick. But from my experience the glass wall mixed with cabin or brick walls are the best looking bases.
I've had fallout 76 since release date played it once and didn't even give it chance due to my bias towards the older games and watching your videos has changed my mind on the game because every video (of other people) has been them ranting on how bad the game was but I've watched a few of your videos and you've shown me the beauty of the game!!
Unfortunately most RUclipsrs complaining about the game haven't even played it long enough to reach level 100. This is why I always form my own opinion. I think the game is great, glad you can enjoy it with us now ;)
The Ammo Converter is now 500 Atoms in the Atom Shop, as well as, the Junkyard Dog Collectron. I’m sure someone probably commented this already but didn’t go down too far to check lol. Thanks for the great build man! Loving your content!
I did not know the popcorn machine was for sale at crater. I always thought it was a scoreboard item. I believe you can buy the ammo converter from the atom shop
Appreciate the tutorial, recently started playing with my friends and we all use the same camp, so this was great. Also very easy to follow as well as customisable to your own liking. Thanks again!
They really need to add base spawn points, they could even have fun with it from starting as a carpet you place down to a futuristic teleporter like the one you make in fallout4 to enter the synth base as well as maybe 1m of spawn protection to prevent any kind of trolling
Excellent tip on wiring into your house! I was using a doorway before and it looked so tacky. The building aspect of 76 is probably my favorite part of the game but I've been so lazy about it, just throwing prefabs down and putting SPECIAL boosters on the dirt. I'm going to start a camp build from scratch next time I'm on so thanks for the inspiration 🙂. Would love to link up on PSN and learn some tips first hand when you have time. Also, I still need a symptomatic lol. Thanks for another awesome video!
If you move your camp machine it changes your spawn point. Also, there is a fast travel welcome mat, although I don't see it all the time, so I'm not sure when you can use it or not. My camp is using the building underground glitch , so I have 5 floors currently and the underground portion is sort of hidden as secret 2 floors of "basement", but the only way you can tell it's a glitch is if you look out the few windows I put there and you can see the world from below.
Ive been building a new camp the last couple days and the best advice i can give to avoid falling off a cliff while building, use the free cam option. Literally life saving. 😅
Good basic build if you wanna get into camp building very nice looking I remember the very first westtek camp build I did by Westek to farm and scrap junk away he made it very basic used it for 2 years finally changing into this setup

Lately I've been building on No Man Sky. A trick I've picked up on with building in ark when you build your generators put your power chords under the floor or between walls.
This is the first fallout game I've ever played and I really love the building you can do in this game (minus the snapping irritation among a few others) but I can't build anything nearly as cool. Only been playing a week or so and think this guide is ace! Just outta curiosity where is the location? I can’t for the life of me find a good cliff edge
There is a lot of them, I can't remember it was so long ago. Just make sure you test your spawn point a few times before building. So put a camp down and just build a little something with a stash and whatever, go do your thing and come back a few times just to see where you will be spawning. Sometimes with cliffside builds it'll spawn you on the cliff and you'll be stuck and forced to fast travel again.

@@lionelwhiskerknot Never had those. I was building in Golf course and gouls away coming by.
@@Dontcareifyoudont Yeah I get scorched and robots shooting at the camp. Could be worse. My other camp spot had a Mirelurk Queen that would spawn with my turrets shooting at it. Acid sprayed everything 😂
@@lionelwhiskerknot lol. I have those too. One guy I party with build his on a tram rail. Never have to had any turrets guarding because he was so high up. Meet another player build his on cliff side that made hard for any enemies to get near.

Do you have unlimited resources to build?? Or do you have to gather them??
