Yay I'm so glad you uploaded this one. They are my fav. I've rewatched your play threws so many times. Always a joy. Thanks for all your hard work and keeping the older games alive. ❤️
Thank you very much Sua. Always thought it would be cool to have an all-in-one Quest for Glory 1 walkthrough with every character type so now that I had the video for I finally did it. Thanks again!
This game... I must have sunk about 300+ hours into it back around 1991. I was playing on a 80/286 with a whopping 4MB RAM. I had no sound card tho so it was all PC speakers for me.... the PC speaker music is forever in my heart :)
"Save early save often unless you're playing Quest for Glory to get the good ending go the entire game without saving max out all your levels then just before you go to the Brigands' hideout go to the tavern and drink the Dragon's Breath." - Roberta Williams /s Phenomenal VG101 amazing surprise for it to be Quest for Glory with all character types!!!
12 year old me: You can break into houses and steal stuff? That's awesome! Older me: Wait, if I'm supposed to be a hero, why am I breaking into an innocent old lady's house? I'm glad you pointed out the irony. I wish they would have given the thief a more noble reason to steal things.
Ha agreed as a kid I didn't bat an eye and was all in. Now it's more well I guess the ends justify the means. I stole that old lady's silver that had been in her family for generations, but I bought some potions which ultimately helped me banish Baba Yaga so... we cool?
nice. also my fav. old games. in fact Quest for Glory 1 was my Fav game of all time, with Loom being close, and QG2... ATM my fav. game on android is "Magic Rampage"... really really classic, esp. for android its way beyond other games in being so classic. qg1 rules! qg2 too, in fact I'm going to play it again, t.y.
Yeah there's just so much more to Trial By Fire in story, objectives, emotion. This game is a very good intro to the series but it's bite size compared to its sequel.
@Aspen Two One .they're.both classic. Qg3 steered off course with the graphics. That 8bit pattern style is just Sooo classic. They should make a remake of qg3&4 with Eva from the VGA. Would be super classic
Yeah the various character types and their respective solutions to all of the different puzzles and different content in different character's cases makes this series so great and unique.
I'd be hard press to select with class I enjoy more in the QFG series, they are all enjoyable in their own way. The fighter for example may have the most simplistic class solutions to problems but sometimes its just so satisfying to chargei n and crack some skulls over sneaking or casting spells .
Tony can you please make a short video of how to successfully import characters from Quest for Glory games? or how to cheat stats? I own both the GOG and Steam versions. I ask this because I've had a good amount of difficulty importing from QG1 to QG2. Thanks and keep up the excellent work.
Made a quick video for the import process (which admittedly is a bit confusing with the Steam and GOG versions vs. the old days): ruclips.net/video/l5LrtlMzom8/видео.html Cheating stats in QfG 1 (EGA) you just type "razzle dazzle root beer" then Alt K plus a number to change a particular stat (I don't know the specifics off hand). Cheating stats in QfG 2 you just type "suck blue frogs" then Alt H to change all your stats at once to whatever number you want. Alt+ other keys allows you to do other things, too, but the stats are the main ones.

My favorite video game series of all time. Seen all your other videos on the series. Amazing work. Thanks and keep it up
I appreciate the support as always Shawn!

This was my favorite game ever!! Brings back so many memories!! Thanks so much for posting this ❤
It's one of the best, thank you!
20:14 lol getting ahead of yourself there.

There's a lot of charm in those boops and beeps.

Phenomenal VG101 amazing surprise for it to be Quest for Glory with all character types!!!
Covering all the bases! Thanks BBJ!
Oh yes, this is gonna be awesome.
Thanks NN!
These are probably my favorite computer games of that (or any other) era ... I always played a thief with magic.
Yeah my first ever playthrough was definitely magical thief. Pretty unbeatable combo!
This was my favorite computer game growing up.
I'm with you Terry.

I loved this series. I rolled a thief so I could start with all the skills. I think I beat all but the last game. I know in two I became a paladin.
Yeah the various character types and their respective solutions to all of the different puzzles and different content in different character's cases makes this series so great and unique.

The fighter usually gets shortchanged in terms of overall content in the series, but it really is fun to destroy everything ever like you mentioned.

Cheating stats in QfG 1 (EGA) you just type "razzle dazzle root beer" then Alt K plus a number to change a particular stat (I don't know the specifics off hand).
Cheating stats in QfG 2 you just type "suck blue frogs" then Alt H to change all your stats at once to whatever number you want.

@@VideoGames101 thanks I appreciate it. I'll give it a shot.
The thief password is random every play through. The chief cheats if you bet too much, bet less and he's way easier to beat.
Yeah in the VGA version it's always the same, plus they fixed the chief. Excellent tip on the chief thief in the EGA version and betting too much.
I swear you get xp for just typing sneak....walk over and kver again
I use fighter. I add 5 points for a stat i has 0 press + to give 1 point 6 then select
Smart, I like it.
