That necklace was so pretty.
Honestly if someone finds a replica pls comment under this!
I had it custom made for my fiancé
omar sk How much did it cost?
Jesse G I can make you one
If the pearl is natural/uncultured and it shped perfectly round symetrical. Not baroque (asymmetic) it will be cost from $ 20,000-1M depends its size and most important, luster.
So, how can I get my snail to make a pearl?

Eat the oyster’s ‘tongue’, sell the pearl, ornate the shells... this creature is generous as heck
Generous? They're not giving, they're exploited and robbed. Yet another example of human greed for something no one needs.
@@barbarascotto3873 except we don’t, if I were to label Human’s greedy and I have to live with that label I’m okay with it. Earlier in their life we’d just eat them and throw the rest. The circle of life must continue; it’s great that we have found more use and create less waste, definitely and advancement that can be celebrated compared to previous generation, and now that we have a more humane way to extract the pearl it’s definitely awesome. The mollusks have no need for the pearl, so at least we’re not killing them for now-
@@primej485 you've missed my point entirely. Just leave them alone. No one needs to eat oysters and no one needs pearls.
@@barbarascotto3873 can’t leave a point without alternatives now don’t we?

This was amazing. Whoever produced this did an incredible job !!
I like turtles
Produced the pearl, or the video?
U should praise the oysters, they made the pearls before people killed them
Value the producer, not the product - VALUE LIFE!
You should praise the diamonds
so its the pimple of a oyster
Actually, since a pearl is created to soothe the creature against uncomfortable grit, they're more like a scar than a gall or kidney stone
Kind of more like a callous or corn...
If it forms "inside" the meaty tissue of the Oyster then it is a pearl ...but if it forms on the inside surface of the Mollusk it then referred to as a Blister pearl
@Damian Lopez why did you need to insult her like that, you could've just corrected her nicely.

I got a beautiful pearl out of a green lip abalone yesterday. I have gotten so many over the years from them. Every time we process them we find some. And it had a perfect hole bored in the middle from where a worm or something started the process. It's amazing.

So many questions left. How do people know if a pearl is growing inside or do they? If you knew, you could guard them and let them grow larger.
Pearls r formed inside the oyster or other mollusc. When any foreign particles inclining sand or some enemy enters inside d animal body, they start secreting a gel like substance n cover that foreign particles. Then later they start secreting a crystalline substance which mainly composed of calcium. When it cover many layers over then after a period of time it becomes pearl.
@@sheetaltyagi4130 The above person to you is NOT ASKING the process of formation. They are asking HOW DOES one know if its growing or not. if it is growing, how is it protected. Your comment and contribution was useless sheetal

so the pearls aren't made in the kindergartens?
Neongreenlemon V . 0 they are made in space, the ones made in the kindergarten's are like amethyst
Earth Pearls aren't. Pearls from Homeworld are.
Pearls don't grow in the ground, so I guess Homeworld makes them with captured organic organisms, or mechanincally, if that's possible.

The Nacre gems nurse them...?
Nah, the Pearl are made in oysters put there by Nacres.

“The truth in every myth is the pearl in every oyster.”
― J. Earp
I was studying the Bible and looking up commentary and found this, which led me to look up about pearl oysters.
“I would, my brothers and sisters, that we could all imitate the pearl oyster. A hurtful particle intrudes itself into its shell, and this vexes and grieves it. It cannot eject the evil, and what does it do but cover it with a precious substance extracted out of its own life, by which it turns the intruder into a pearl. Oh, that we could do so with the provocations we receive from our fellow Christians, so that pearls of patience, gentleness, long-suffering, and forgiveness might be bred within us by that which has harmed us.” (Spurgeon)
I would go even further and say, “Oh, that we could do so with the provocations we receive from fellow human beings, so that pearls of patience, gentleness, long-suffering, and forgiveness might be bred within us by that which has harmed us.”
Yeah but we aren't pearl oysters.
So beautiful thank you for sharing
@@Devilcakes it is an analogy. Humans don't produce pearls, but we can take something harmful to us and transform our suffering into something good to ourselves and others
@@Devilcakes you figure that out by yourself, smart guy? It's called an analogy, chief. Surely you've heard of it..

There's something weird about this video. The 3 largest pearls (wild) ever found have ALL been from the same region, South China Sea, but not Australia. Found in the centre of the centre for the world's marine biodiversity region. Palawan, Philippines. The largest of the 3 is 34kg, yes that's right.
That's largest but not perfect round.
Actually, they did not mention the region that has the largest pearls but the sort of creatures which creates them. The south sea creatures precisely.
Ah, two cartoon characters from two of my favorite shows mentioned in one video which has nothing to do with cartoons. ^^
Nature is beautiful and fascinating
This was one of the best documentaries I have ever seen.

Australia has really regulated pearl fishing so most of the ones found in jewellery are artificially produced

VideosAreDrugs yes, there is so much vanity in the world...people are lovers of pleasure and sin, they do not love God and people...this is why all human beings need Jesus Christ, to give them a good heart, to give them life and forgiveness. "where is your treasure, your heart will be also." if your treasure is God, you will love doing His will, if your treasure is something in this world, you will spend money and do whatever it takes to get to have it. But all that is here will perish, only the one that lives for God will have eternal life.
That Pearl must be really salty like the one in Steven Universe...
The first part showing the nature in the sea made me drop my jaw in wonder

I should've expected all the Steven Universe references
I wonder if a girl saw the process of what a individual had to go through just to get that pearl if they would want it after all that.
Evrett not just girls
Watch how they mass produce freshwater pearls they torture them and force them to produce them
All pearls on the market today are farmed. The oysters are well cared for and don't die to produce the pearls. I'm not saying it's perfectly harmless, but I'm vegan and I still love them. The process by which most precious stones and metals are procured is infinitely more damaging to the planet. I'll take a million strands of pearls before I'd buy a single gold and diamond ring...
Princezz Puffypants still a crappy product compared to the wild, 50% of the oysters die and only 20% produce a somewhat marketable pearl
Sounds like fruity whining to me
such a soothing voice
Documentary about crystal gems
I don't know why this makes me sad😭
+mrdarkiller1 because everything is dying and nobody will remember most of the species that have existed...
That's because of the sad music. Such is the power of music :)
mrdarkiller1 how many oysters are killed while you are trying to find a single pearl
@@saida6806 None. Pearl extraction does not kill the oyster. All pearls on the market that aren't antiques are farmed. The oysters are taken extremely good care of to avoid their death because that means money loss to the farmer. They can produce 3 or more pearls over the course of a lifetime, one at a time, and don't die because of pearl extraction.
Humans are stupid and greedy... The planet doesn't need us (humans) because we destroy everything
