A brilliant parody so well written and acted. The casting is spot on. What a treat.
I was hoping it might go as far as Kate's lunch 🥗 🤣🤣🤣
I'd always wondered why there was only one ladies restroom at the male dancers club I frequented back in the 70's. Now I find I owe it all to Shakespeare.
'Restroom'?
No, I'm afraid not.
Over here in Europe our ladies do not 'rest' in rooms.
Instead we use a word derived from the French via Guillaume, bastard Duc de Normandy, better known as William the Conquerer for the little work required to complete the act viz: toil-ette - the small work or job. Indeed, the Scots still to this day refer to 'gannin fer à wee jobbie'.
How many times do U hear people call toilets on planes & in pubs etc as 'bathrooms?'
Ryanair have 'bathrooms!' 😮
@@Tinker1950 please excuse my ignorance of "toilets". In my defense I can only say that, in my family at least, mine is the first generation to grow up with a toilet in the house.
That's a wicked imitation of Rickey Gervais out of Kemp there.
More like an impression of David Brent, don't you think?
1:14 "Come and sit down, Cuthbert" but in such a way that nobody has their back to the fourth wall, as in all TV shows.
or plays.

Postmodern, intertextual comedy (who knew?!) at its best. And proof final that Kemp IS indeed David Brent 😆
And was it Ben Elton who first did routines about sexism in theatre architecture in his late-80s stand-up?
Would U prefer this or The Office?
Which is worse, this or the US Office? There's a tough one 😁

She even looks like "Bob"
“Bob” shows up later in the series.
The black haired guy is doing Ricky Gervais. Quite clever.
Really? Nothing gets past you obviously
Thank you for pointing that out! His way of speaking is so familiar but I couldn’t place it.
I genuinely didn't figure it out until this scene, where he basically pitches The Office.
You're one heck of an Einstein, aren't you?
FYI, the character in the script was called Gervais until just before shooting.
So underrated.
So true. The ladies toilets still have long lines. They should make the women’s washroom twice as big as the mens
Wont someone think of the piss troughs!?
That kate, that bonny kate. The prettiest kate in all of Christendom.
A talented lady that can "hold her own" with these heavyweights.
Back when "epic" meant long.
It actually means full of episodes (parts).
@@makiburgess5733 What about when you put them all together?
(Remember, "means" doesn't always mean 'means'.)
@@ridethelapras yes, stitched together, but with stand along episodes, rather than one long arc. Epic is the root of episode.
😎👍
Do U have to be drunk or stoned or very easily amused to find this funny or all of the above? 😁
Just clever and erudite.
@@makiburgess5733 It's boring. Especially nowadays.
