We all know that YT is made for living vicariously through other people - but it sure is weird that it's more fun to live through a guy who busts his knuckles on 80s Hondas, like I would, and not live through a basejumper with a jetset lifestyle.. Thanks for doing this - you are my hero!
After coming home from work, i have a habit of sitting down on the couch and eating something barely fit for human consumption, while watching some "will it run"-type of shit on RUclips. I gotta say, you had me choking on soggy microwave hot dog buns multiple time during these 43 minutes. Got yourself a new subscriber for sure my man🤙🏻
honestly one of the ebest youtubers ive ever seen started watching today with the soviet vs capitalist power tools and his account does not disappoint in any way he should have way more subscribers i just subscribed myself
The Asian mechanic channels would have this puppy painted and running all in a 30 minute video. They'd even spend the first 5 minutes pulling it out of the ocean.
I enjoy the work ethic implied by your choice of projects and your approach to accomplishing them. You happened to notice that the dirty details of engineering had entertainment value, possibly by observing other RUclipsrs or possibly just by observing your own work. Then you did a little extra engineering (and writing) to edit the process and make it even more entertaining. Good example for others.
I don't remember what year model they were but I worked on a 500 acre non-profit Wildlife Preserve and we had four of these old things sitting around in various condition that I use to make one run. fun times
This is true to life, this is exactly what happens to me when I work on my pan. Including loosing the valve collets. Things breaking off and snapping and rounding off and having to cut things off. I rounded a head bolt off and had to cut grind the head off. Then the rounded off head bolt stump unscrewed with my fingers? Even though I tried welding another bolt to the head bolt and all the other tricks to get it off. Could I undo it, could I fook.😮😮😅
In my country, Ignoring that neutral switch safety stuff would cost me a permission to used that vehicle on public roads. Ever heard of TÜV. But i tricked them one time with a sidestand, on my bmw k100 rs '83 bike. Original with spring mounted to get that tüv, & after that mounted one without the spring(more comort) from a later model, ignoring safety switches.
Kickstarting isn't that bad. It builds character. But then again, if I had snakes i my back yard I wouldn't spend a minute trying to fix an ATV. I would be on all four trying to make new friends.
hello dear we are having cylinder head for dinner. no different than putting my snowmobile clutch in the dishwasher. Kitchen appliances have multiple usages. Can anybody say powder coat oven?
*stares at my 600v 3 phase milling machine motor that really wants to run on 240v single phase with what I can scrounge from my yard* yup, kindred spirits.
"what would you do" . go full rat build with it and start throwing on whatever i had around to make it into something. bathtub body? box fan with a power inverter? sky's the limit.
Hello, I recently came across a 1mzfe TRD supercharger kit for an auto car and I was hoping if you know where I can get my hands on one for a manual egr pipe? Is there anyway around this problem to get the car to run without the egr check engine light?
The only difference between the auto and manual egr tube is the manual egr tube tucks in closer to the engine at the bottom so that the egr tube doesn't touch the shifter cables and melt them. The auto EGR tube sticks out a bit more but not much, as the automatic shifter cable stays further away for the egr tube. I swapped mine from auto to manual and I reused the auto egr tube and it still cleared the manual cables. It’s all about clearance.
Dayum, is that a crack on the side, just where the ``honda`` cast in logo is... On the other side than the one with the starter motor... Quite close to the kick-starter, in one of the curves of the casting... That ain`t no schmoo, that`s a crack, and not one that you can appreciate... What the fuck did that kid do to that poor thing... I`ve seen scrapyard stuff in 666x better condition... This is just satanic level of mistreatment...
@@thedoubtfultechnician8067 Damn glad... It sure looked like a crack to me... Maybe it`s just a crease in the material, a wrinkle of sorts, that got accentuated by dust and grit in it, thus appearing to me as a crack... Phew indeed... Cracked castings are a nightmare of the worst sort, just second to getting caught by a large lathe chuck at around 80rpm... Yikes... All the best!
I'm only 3 minutes in, but Spark has timing, Fuel has timing, Compression has timing, and Air has timing. Timing (ASSuming you meant spark timing) isn't it's own major component of a running ICE engine. An gasoline ICE engine with sub-optimal spark, fuel, air, and compression TIMING may possibly still run. However, if you completely omit any of the 4 major ingredients, you have an engine that doesn't run. Timing isn't it's a major component...it's a subset of something else.
I would say that’s debatable. They all share timing as a common theme, but in the context of the troubleshooting process, mechanical timing is distinctly separate.
This has become my favorite channel. Quick! Buy some more ill-advised crap for cheap and then get it to work!! Seriously. Dance for me youtube boy.
Ughhhhhhh
Fine.
+1, love it
Yup, love this channel!! We could def have SO MUCH FUN if we were closer neighbors!
Welp, minus the sssNICK’s!! Ill hug a momma bear before even…

I know it's been 11 months since upload, but I wanted you to know that I did indeed see spark.

yep same!
Very entertaining video. You had me and my elderly father laughing hard at your colorful commentary. Especially how much fun kick starting it was😂😂

Kudos man for getting it running, I watched the whole video and was glad you showed everyone closure with its resurrection from the dead!
It's fun to see that your poor choices also extend to IT, where you actually bought an HP printer.
Their business laser printers are good (because they're made by Canon, and HP just puts the outer plastics and their name on it)
Too cool man!
Also I’m glad you could back up the fact that you don’t have to change the oil on Honda.
Thank you for that.

Underrated channel, easy sub for you
This channel is incredible and that intro is wonderfully artsy
You have come a long way. Finish gathering parts here and there and finish putting it together.
Hands down my favorite channel now i love you bro lmao!
ilu2
Its got one too many wheels!! Love what you do!

Invisibility paint... that gets a follow. Thank u for the laugh. That was awesome.. money shot!

Man, this is the only quad that could make me feel better about mine... its "finished" but i dont want to talk about wasted time and money...
I would definitely take the motor apart as well... Couple days more work, but when the motor rework is done, one source of failure eliminated
This video makes me so happy😂
“I need to stop drinking my cleaning chemicals” 😭
16:20 thats why my old good thinkpad x201 (mint linux os) is always a part of vehicle repairment toolset
A little dab of grease will stick the keepers to the valves so you don’t have to hold them while you release pressure on the clamp.
and dear lord use forceps and keep your fingers out of there!
Mission success. Accolade earned. Spend more than its worth
Those solid front axle Hondas are kinda sought after
25:17 Exit Freddie Mercury, enter Boots Randolph - & with astonishing speed. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
the shotgun fix is my favorite.
Why am I so happy it's running? Life is strange.
hey get that Fluke calibrated. you are working on a high precision quad.
Ive been on RUclips since 2011, youre the funniest peeson on here i know of
this is giving me head aches just watching this
That was a great video. I would say a a Good running parts machine. maybe some kid to pick up and learn on small engine repair.
Did not know that these came with a straight axle in the front before they had IFS
Red Green is AWESOME!!!!
As a Canadian, it honours me greatly to see an American correctly following the Red Green lifestyle.
This guys the best
Dude kids are great. I have wayyyyyy too many tho. There were two many snakes.

Build a cab on it ,of coarse . Great helmet !
That thing will run forever.
What is your backstory with Carol? Was she in a previous episode? Also, love the snake blower!

Does thigh chafing count as character?
Dam good video. Hell yeah.
not only do i wright snap on on all my tools. I wright stanley on all my cups
One of the great unknowables in modernity will be how many absolute lost causes RUclips is responsible for bringing back.
The snakes freaked me out loool 😱
What is that helmet! I must have one exactly the same!!
hello dear we are having cylinder head for dinner. no different than putting my snowmobile clutch in the dishwasher. Kitchen appliances have multiple usages. Can anybody say powder coat oven?
I keep doing this and barb will need a new oven. Everyone wins.
Watching you sink time and money into this nightmare gives me more confidence in mine. It could always be worse... for me not you lol
Glad I could be of service.

You're hilarious man, insta-sub!
You can stil do a top end rebuild with 2 kids
Did you notice the missing front wheel nuts at 38:29?
Was that an Arisaka??
"what would you do" . go full rat build with it and start throwing on whatever i had around to make it into something. bathtub body? box fan with a power inverter? sky's the limit.
Mosin nagant ftw
The kid stripped everything. I hope you got it for $3

So I can run the auto tube on a manual car with no issue?
@@tophu2894 I am, but you may not. Try it and see if it’s too close to the shifter cable.
Oil goes in the machine, not in the man.
You know, a magnet would of found those valve keepers much quicker than you.

Damn you for making me go out to the yard and check!
Appears to be an intentional part of the casting. Didn’t see anything cracked. Phew!
