I love SOUL SILVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAMN IT!!! I CAN NEVER FIND THEM IN THE SHOPS!!! THANKS FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When Pokémon heartgold and soul silver first came out, my mom got me heartgold for my birthday. Later that same year, my aunt got me soul silver for Christmas, not knowing that I had already gotten heartgold. I put over 100 hours into heartgold, and to this day, I still find myself restarting soulsilver and playing it again. They are some of my favorite games in the entire series.
Pixelchu Almost the same happened to me with Fire Red and Leaf Green. My birthday is in October, got Leaf green for my birthday from my older brother and Fire Red for christmas from my mother.
My dad tried to bribe me with Pokemon Soul Silver so I'd go with him across the country where I didn't know anyone nor wanted to be, but I stayed. Now Soul Silver is lost somewhere and I wish I could find it!
The very first Pokémon related game I ever got was Pokémon Pinball: Ruby and Sapphire for my 12th birthday. I had seen my friends in daycare playing Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow, but I never played a GBA game until I got Pokémon Yellow for Christmas a few years later. At 24 I'm still playing Pokémon games and watching the show because it was my life at the time. I still miss when you could find and cut out circular coin things with different Pokémon on them from Kraft Macaroni and cheese boxes. God I miss the early 2000's.......so much......if I could time travel I'd relive my childhood several times. I even had a Poliwag squirt toy, which I unfortunately lost through the years.
That moment when you refused to get the game when it was released because you thought you were too cool to play them "fuck these remakes" "originals all the way"
I had to retake several photos because I forgot how big some Pokémon were, and my poor little Weedle kept getting blocked by everyone cause he's so tiny. For some reason I gave him an everstone and now I have a Hall of Fame with a Weedle in my team. I'm serious I never let him evolve but now he's stuck in my Pokéwalker because I restarted my SoulSilver version. I don't want to erase him though because of the memories.
Nothing suspicious about a 10-Year-old running around with Arceus which in the pokemon mythos created the whole pokemon world and controls time space and matter.
I bought SoulSilver with the 3DXL and played it for a bit, never finished it, but I didn't know there was THIS much in it. Now, I'm kind of excited to try and continue it again.
@@GretSeat Still never finished it, though I found it the other day so plan on finishing it some time soon. Sadly, it was the very first Pokemon game I ever purchased for myself. I don't think I could ever part with it as I bought the combo pack with the pedometer pokeball just to have my pokemon with me. Sorry.
Nice I remember buying Heart Gold for $50 bucks at GameStop along with a brand new **New** 3DS XL but I didn't like it much because it was way too similar to Diamond & Pearl. The game was too easy because I usually over level my Pokémon and I was facing trainers with level 30s Pokémon by the time I had all eight badges in Johto. (My party were all lvl 60 by the time I faced the Elite 4) Kanto gyms were a lot spicier in challenge but beating the OG Champion Red was damn near impossible because I forgot to catch an Electric type to beat his OP lvl 80 Blastoise 😰
@@Blu3Blaze18 Yeah, that's what I use to do as well. Leveled up all my Pokemon past the "recommended level" and just decimated everyone in my path...haha!
These games are still 40 bucks 7 years after release, and used! People were right when they say Nintendo games hold their value. Edit: I know how expensive these games are now.
You only have to beat silver in mt moon, then go to dragons den to battle clair and lance, im not 100% sure but i think thats required to get the cutscene where lance tells tou to go find red
I liked the way the bag menu had portrayals of where on the bag the pocket was on the top screen, as well as the separate pocket for berries. It was so easy to find the berries I needed.
Wow, I can tell a lot of effort went into making this nearly half-hour long video. Great work! HGSS are some of my favorite games, too, right after DPP.

@@Irrelevance256 if only johto's post game included kanto or something. Where does this idea even come from? Is it because of the let's go games? Is it because of the charizard/pikachu favorism gamefreak has?
@@---oq5kb By that, I mean that Game Freak favours Kanto over Johto. Pokémon Fire Red, Leaf Green, Let's Go! Pikachu and Let's Go! Eevee. X And Y - Added Megas To The Kanto Starters Sword And Shield - Added Gigantamax Forms To The Kanto Starters
@@Irrelevance256 I mean, the first ones are remakes that were released after Nintendo made two new handheld consoles same goes for pretty much ever game at this point (gen 2 went from gbc to ds skipping gba, gen 3 went from gba to 3ds skipping nds, gen 4 went from nds to switch skipping 3ds) that wasn't just kanto favorism that started a whole tradition of remakes. Also firered/leafgreen was an interesting thing to point out considering this very video is basically proof that johto remakes had more content added to them. As for let's go pikachu and eevee, they were aiming for a more casual approach because of pokemon go, while still selling the games for the existing audience. They have done this before with pokemon yellow (anime was the attraction for non players instead of go) so it makes sense for them to just remake that game. Aa for kanto starters getting new forms, I would say that it's not kanto favorism but rather appealing to fans. The same reason why there are so many pikachu look alikes and the same reason why charizard gets the best treatment out of the 3. Fans loved pikachu/charizard so they are getting more love. But only showing love to charizard would indicate that he is the canon starter, so they gotta include the other 2 for the people that didn't choose charmander.
Cherrum and Bounsweet look like and are basically cherries so i can see why he thought it was a fruit Edit: Immeadetly after posting this reply i check to see and yes, cherries are fruits
I remember when i was a child i had turned around and spoken to my pokemon. It told me he had been rummaging through my bag. It gave me an option to scold him, and, me being a child, i didnt know what it ment. I yelled at him. And i felt bad. Now i am thinking about this... and it hurts... i feel guilty... i want to apologize... it made me cry a little...
are you referring to soul silver? I actually own two copies, due to loosing the original copy, but im not sure i want to really part with them, since they have such a deep rooted nostalgia for me, as they were the first pokemon games i played, along with my old blue cartridge. (the blue broke one day, and i had to part with it years ago.)
@EDUARDO HERNANDEZ-MEDINA that is an extremely odd request to make over a comment section, don't you think? But for an answer to this question, I current do not wish to sell any of my pokemon games, as i enjoy all of them dearly. They've been a part of my life for as long as i can remember, and each game has brought new experiences to me every time. I am very fond of all the memories made through these games, so it would be almost sacrilege for me to sell them. I would go check local game stores, like gamestop or local businesses that specialize in selling videogames, since those are almost certain to have pokemon games in them. Also, if you wish to buy them online, take some time to look over whatever you're looking into, since you may inevitably be scammed, which is never fun.
@EDUARDO HERNANDEZ-MEDINA I would check gamestop's website, (gamestop.com) and look up the games you're interested in. Alternatively, you can check your local videogame stores, like stated previously. I don't know how cheap the games will end up being, but most of these games are probably cheaper then they are usually, from what i've seen on the gamestop website. If that isn't your cup of tea, go on google maps and look up video game shops near you, then go to their websites and see what they have on them. It really ends up depending on what the local sellers have for them, how much your willing to spend, and how rare the games you're looking for are. As i know soul silver, and heart gold are much more expensive than others, as they have nostalgia for those who played gold/silver/crystal originally, so those will be on the higher end of the prices. Over all, just do some searching on websites that are trusted, like ones that sell directly from nintendo, or are supplied by them (*i.e. gamestop, or whatever other shops you have near you*) Good luck, young padawan
EDUARDO HERNANDEZ-MEDINA here’s an idea: go on eBay, look up the Pokémon games you wanna buy, and buy them. Stop trying to make someone who obviously loves their games try to sell them to you, asshole.
Except he's almost surely lying. Fans have to have each blade balanced, something as heavy as a pokewalker would put a fan so far out of balance it would destroy it.
@TrueRusty Films anything that spins around a center axis (at decent rpm)has to be well balanced. Desk fan, ceiling fan, car tire, helicopter blade, fidget spinner, etc
I just got really into full odds hunting on my original Soul Silver save (my first ever pokemon game) from 11 years ago. I used the DNS trick to get a bunch of the old mystery gifts and decided to go for Latias. I got it at around 2,814. I was feeling impatient at the time but after seeing how much harder you worked for it I'm feeling pretty lucky :D
Hybrid OwO no it isn’t ORAS are good games, but they could have had more, like a gba sounds key item, the Voltorb Flip mini game as a replacement for the slot machines, and they really needed a battle frontier. It feels like it was downgrade from heart gold and soul silver.
I always just wanted to play these games, never got the chance to as a kid, just now home brewed my 3ds and started playing. I’m blown away by the differences and everything I missed out on almost a decade ago 😖
Thanks for the video! I imagine these take a lot of time but I really enjoy your videos and I appreciate all the time and effort you put into these! 👍🏼
You must be young then omg I remember getting my ds lite when it came out and getting the blue version which made me salty because I wanted red as a kid
@@VicenteA43212 That's nothing! I remember when the creators of Pikachu were still trying to decide if he should have stripes, polka dots or freckles on his back.

I realize this is several years old, but just as a fun fact; the reason Arceus hatches from an egg is because it's a reference to the Cosmic Egg an ancient creation myth. In these myths, the oldest god or gods hatch from a primordial "egg", often using the parts to create the world. It's one of the oldest and most common creation myths in the ancient world, found everywhere from the Hindu Vedas, to Oprhic mystery cults in ancient Greece, to the cult of Ra in Hermopolis, the Daoist myth of Pangu, and others.
There were also other musical tidbits. Like Cerulean and Fuscia City's theme now reappearing (and getting a retroactive GB Sounds remix) along with the the Kanto Trainer Battle Theme's music adding back the B section of the theme, which had been previously cut from the original Gold/Silver.
I've played the "original" heart gold on a "button phone" like 8+ years ago.. It was so sick. My first pokemon game ever played and I love it. So many memories and nostalgic
Great video, but you forgot something, Unown "!" and "?" were unavailable in G/S/C but are in HG/SS. Also just letting you know, A group managed to keep the Nintendo Wi-Fi servers running unofficially, all you have to do is modify your system or SD card.
2:43 To this day I still think it was an unintelligent move for the Pokemon creators to change the girl Pokemon trainer option in Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver to a brand new one instead of using Kris again, the female Pokemon trainer option from Pokemon Crystal. As stated at 7:09 by Candi Evie, Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver were remakes of Pokemon Gold, Silver *AND* Crystal, so they should have had Kris as the female Pokemon trainer option and saved the brunette girl as a female Pokemon trainer option for a new game that was not a remake of another one. It would have only made sense and would have been the only appropriate option. An epic fail on Game Freak's part.
@@fidelgarcia2224 That's true. That made more of a reason for them to make sure that it was implemented that she was brought back in the silver and gold remakes, given her importance, the milestone she set. I, and I would imagine others and all the women gamers out there, think that needs to be celebrated and acknowledged.
I'm so excited! I finally just got a 3DS to catch up- starting with SoulSilver. SoulSilver just got came in the mail I'm so excited! :D i SCREAMED when you mentioned the GB music option! Eeeep i'm so excited! Thank you for such an informative video, again.
19:30 Actually, that Pichu was your Partner Pokémon in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs. There's a Celebi in that game that allows you to travel back in time so the reason why it can't be transferres kind of makes sense.
The Pichu in Guardian Signs was a Ukelele Pichu ^^ The Spiky Eared Pichu is from the Arceus movie & is from the past, so that part make sense, so maybe the time travel thing *kinda* make sense? Not really, but I guess.
This was my second pokemon game the remake. :3. I lost my poke walker though. Sad. I have so much nostalgia and will be buying the Walmart limited editions for like £200 because I need it
I find weird that i have my Soul Silver since 2010 and i only used the Pokewalker once. Idk if it still turns on but it still looks brand new. P.S don't know what happened to the clip
I agree it's way more fun and productive to earn coins by playing voltorb flip instead of the slots, but I hate that buying coins as an option was altogether scrapped
Haven't even won a single game of Voltorb Flip because I'm terrible at Minesweeper. I still haven't won and I've resorted to using my money to buy more coins just to get a TM for my Pokémon. I never got high enough to get the Porygon.
Wow over 10 years later I'm finding more and more about these games. Thank you for this video. I've been playing my SoulSilver version for the past couple of months just randomly evolving Pokemon I've never used before. I'm still kicking myself for not preordering my game from GameStop because apparently you would have gotten a little figurine of Lugia or Ho-Oh depending on the game you got.
Just a few small things to note: trainer battles in Kanto got more difficult. In Gen2 almost every trainer in Kanto was weaker than the Elite4. In Gen4 most of them are way stronger, and the Elite4 also gets more difficult, after beating most of Kanto's storyline. There are also way more trainers than in the original games and you can get phone numbers from them, in Gen2 there were only 3 trainers in Kanto, who would give away their phone number. And Victory Road has also been redesigned btw. Besides that, I loved your video.
the best feature of silver, gold, and crystal was never carried on to other generation main games, and it was the fact that you could go and explore the past region and fight through all the gyms and trainers there. Just imagine finishing sword or shield and then having seven more regions to explore withing the same graphics and timeline of these games.
You failed to mention how you can do a hidden quest where you can take Celebi to the Heaven Shrine then it evolves into Monkbi which looks just like Celebi but it now has a brown robe and that Halo-looking haircut on its head then you are granted the Rope of Celibacy! Because that's the only thing that can slay Arceus but ONLY if your character is a virgin.
Yeah. But than we'll have to fight over which is an better game. Which for me, Heartgold and Soulsilver & Black and White 2 are the best Pokemon games ever made.
Is it just me who noticed that when you use moves like Fly or Surf the color that appears when you summon the Pokémon changes to either gold or silver depending on which version you play?
My step daughter has recently got me back into Pokemon and I gotta say I remember the original gold and silver being released and heartgold is totally awesome.
This is actually pretty fucking amazing. I always played this game as a kid but just now I realize truly how magnificent they are and all the work the devs have done on these games
@Loki Poketale I know right? Only thing I wish was they would of given you the GB player early on in the game so you can listen to the original soundtrack as you play instead of getting it late in the game.
The Spiky Eared Pichu was actually from that Pokemon movie: Arceus & the Jewel of Life, so the time travelling does make sense in a way, not really the trading, but hey, the Pichu might not have been yours in the 1st place cuz pokeballs didn't exist back when it lived, but hey, theory? =D Anyway, oddly, any Arceus (whether hack or event) work in that event (shhh, idk why I know that, no hacks, man -ok maybe-). Also, this is 1 of my favorites as well for similar reasons -though I got 2 pokewalkers & broke them almost instantly after I got them, rip them cuz I loved them & I'm accident prone- & Voltorb flip was better (to me) than the game corner but lacked cool visuals that the slot machines had. More luck, more puzzle.
SunGuardian524 That's actually because different Arceus trigger the event AGAIN. For instance, if you use a TRU (Toys R Us) Arceus, do the event, then come back with an Arceus you (cheated to ) get in Platinum from Hall of Origin, you can go back to the ruins and get another legendary.
SunGuardian524 Yep ^^ The second time through Cynthia isn't there, and the other dude gives you different dialogue. I honestly didn't know about it myself until a few years after
I still can't believe that Kris is not the female playable character in these games. I just don't understand the creative decision behind getting rid of the 1st ever female protagonist when it's her time to shine again. If you ask me, that milestone needs to be celebrated! It's just unfathomable how she didn't make it into the games. How do the creators not make that happen?
Gold and HeartGold were always my favourites. Gold was my dad's first Pokemon game too. He "borrowed" it from my brother, and never gave it back. He got several Pokemon to level 100, saw about 220 Pokemon, and caught about 130. But the internal battery eventually died, and we lost the save file :(
i lost the cartridge and never beat red and it was my first pokemon game and fave so ut sucks that I wont be able to see my pokemon again and beat red. :( replaying it without doing that would be doing them an injustice
I still believe that Heart Gold and Soul Silver are the pinnacle of the Pkm games.... B&W2 did good, and i like X/Y more than 5 gen.... but after that, HG&SS are still the best pkm games....
3:52 Actually, it's not exactly based on if it makes contact, as there are a few special moves, like Petal Dance, that make contact, it's if it would hit using something more natural type thing, like cutting or dropping rocks, than magical leaves or shooting fire. Great video though, I just wanted to point that out.
When I first saw the Arceus event, I was scared to death. I didn’t know what was happening or what I was going to see. It felt like Ed seeing in the door of truth or knowledge or whatever it’s called. (I know that’s silly since they’re just stock photos in a game for kids, but I was younger back then lol)
I remember I skipped the Pikachu-colored Pichu event as a kid bc I was like "okay it looks like a Pikachu, why bother?" and I didn't know it would get me the spiky-eared Pichu 😔 Tbh if they'd have called it shiny, I probably would've begged my mom to drive me to Gamestop so I could get it, but just calling it Pikachu-colored didn't give me much incentive-
Couple things you either didn't mention or made mistakes on: - Mt. Moon is not smaller, it is the exact same size as Gold/Silver (but yes, of course smaller than RBY) - Your prizes from Buenas password are set, meaning you can only get one rare candy per month, instead of one every 3 days - You must go to pokegear to see the location of legendary dogs, but in GSC you could see them from using fly on the map. - the guy who sells you Flamethrower, ice beam, and thunder bolt in goldenrod city on weekends, no longer exists - You don't get experience from the trainer battle area in viridian city - The music in the pokegear is much worse than GSC - Your prize from healing miltank is useless - Safari zone sucks, no items and no trainers (yes i acknowledge this point is a little unfair since its not a comparison to GSC, but still) - the elite 4 gets stronger once you beat the game, which is awesome - Despite the game being so much larger than GSC, some removed areas do not return, such as cinnibar island, sliph co. building (kinda), the upper floors of the lavender radio tower) - fighting dojo is used to re-battle gym leaders, however the leader of the dojo doesn't give you an item anymore - i know you already said this one, but not being able to re-battle trainers on the boat is SOOOO stupid, however the captain gives you an item everytime you board now (even though the item is useless)) - You're wrong about the national park prizes, they're far worse, and the competition is much harder to win. I caught a butterfree, and a character who caught a caterpie got more points somehow. - double battles are a cool addition, but far under utilized
Candy Evie you’re videos are awesome. I was born in 1987. I grew up playing the original Pokémon. It would be an honor to battle you online WiFi battle. Keep up the great work

X And Y - Added Megas To The Kanto Starters
Sword And Shield - Added Gigantamax Forms To The Kanto Starters
My fatass just shook the pokewalker around in my hand, I barely walk regularly as it is.
Its ok bro, that's how it is with those things
Cool Burr dude same 😂😂😂😂😂
I walk very often but I'm terrible with stepometer things so I just shake em
I was in high school when HGSS came out,so I just took it there every day. Got a lot just walking to classes.
Lost my pokewalker. Meowth will forever be on a stroll to oblivion...
That moment you pause and realize something really strange...
I never fully completed Heartgold...
Time to get playing.
WhoCanusMaximus IKR?? Watching this video made me think: "Why am I not playing it right now?". I mean, it's so beautiful!!
Beat it?
Nope, I've decided to go through every generation. I've just beaten Firered... so you know what's next.
Ruby, Sapphire and Emereald :3
WhoCanusMaximus done yet?
At 4:01 slow the speed to 0.25 it says ultra juicy with fruit tell me if you see it
gentleman snake That’s a Bounsweet...
I noticed it the first time I went through the video and went to the comments to see if anyone else noticed it LOL
Cherrum and Bounsweet look like and are basically cherries so i can see why he thought it was a fruit
Edit: Immeadetly after posting this reply i check to see and yes, cherries are fruits
Over all, just do some searching on websites that are trusted, like ones that sell directly from nintendo, or are supplied by them (*i.e. gamestop, or whatever other shops you have near you*)
Good luck, young padawan
no worries, i've been there before, and it was very annoying getting scammed online lol. good luck
EDUARDO HERNANDEZ-MEDINA here’s an idea: go on eBay, look up the Pokémon games you wanna buy, and buy them. Stop trying to make someone who obviously loves their games try to sell them to you, asshole.
“Taking the Pokemon they evolve from out of the main game?”
*thats called foreshadowing*
One thing they have in common they are all great
Back in high school when this game came out I took a fan apart and taped the walker to it. Let that run all day while at school.
Jedidiah Young YOU GENIUS!!!
The pokewalker barely weighs anything
Tyler Perkey you realize a pokewalker is light right?
"The last to have a poke ball slot"
Sword and Shield: *HELLO!*
You forgot the biggest change of them all
That once wonderfully calm Goldenrod Theme is now... *this*
I just got really into full odds hunting on my original Soul Silver save (my first ever pokemon game) from 11 years ago. I used the DNS trick to get a bunch of the old mystery gifts and decided to go for Latias. I got it at around 2,814. I was feeling impatient at the time but after seeing how much harder you worked for it I'm feeling pretty lucky :D
My dad accidentally got my poke walker washed in the laundry
The battery in mine is just dead. RIP
Samuel Kuivenhoven I accidentally left mine in my shorts while it was in the laundry.
RIP everyone's lost pokewalkers
I still have mine I think
I still have mine but it’s dead RIP
Great video! :3 I love the little cartoonish drawings! Keep it up. :D
Lucas Schaffer the vid was posted 3 mins ago, you haven't even watched it
I was like one minute in and I loved it by that point, but good point. :p
Now for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire!
Unfortunately they didn't do justice to Ruby and Supphire with those remakes they could have done a lot better than this.
Jackson Teller AkA Mr.Mayhem well that’s really just your opinion not a fact
Hybrid OwO no it isn’t ORAS are good games, but they could have had more, like a gba sounds key item, the Voltorb Flip mini game as a replacement for the slot machines, and they really needed a battle frontier. It feels like it was downgrade from heart gold and soul silver.
As soon as I hear about the GB sounds I got the item and flew off to Route 47.
No regrets at all.
I always just wanted to play these games, never got the chance to as a kid, just now home brewed my 3ds and started playing. I’m blown away by the differences and everything I missed out on almost a decade ago 😖
There's still Crystal to look forward to...
Cool Burr Weren't you a mod on Shiny Giveway?
TheAmazingTurtle poketuber actually
It's coming out on 3ds virtual console in less than 3 days.
Wished it would be named "Dream Crystal" but too late I guess.
Sassy Celestial Dragon maybe they will release it on the switch with the new graphics engine at some point?
Outstanding job! We can notice you poured your heart and soul in this video!! Thanks a lot! Keep up the incredibly awesome work!
I don't think I've ever actually seen the Soul Silver title screen animation ever until now.
HG and SS are literally the best Pokémon games for me. They packed everything into these games.
Thanks for the video! I imagine these take a lot of time but I really enjoy your videos and I appreciate all the time and effort you put into these! 👍🏼
I watched this while playing Pokemon heart gold on my ancient hand-me-down DS.. 😅

@EDUARDO HERNANDEZ-MEDINA Nope! I'll never part with it! BUT I can send you the Pokemon Giftcard 😁👍
Omg this video is 6 years old, time goes hard
I realize this is several years old, but just as a fun fact; the reason Arceus hatches from an egg is because it's a reference to the Cosmic Egg an ancient creation myth.
In these myths, the oldest god or gods hatch from a primordial "egg", often using the parts to create the world. It's one of the oldest and most common creation myths in the ancient world, found everywhere from the Hindu Vedas, to Oprhic mystery cults in ancient Greece, to the cult of Ra in Hermopolis, the Daoist myth of Pangu, and others.
@EDUARDO HERNANDEZ-MEDINA I don't, sorry
I really love and appreciate all the effort you put into all of these videos. They are always great and enjoyable! Thank you, Lucy!
Yea especially since she was the first female character you could play as
@@spritsfal5088 Who cares how you think she looks? These video game remakes are not about your opinion, they are about nostalgia!
Lucy, Pokemon Sun and Moon was foreshadowed in the Japanese Pokemon Opening OK! when they said Golden Sun and Sliver Moon
"Listen to Joey going on about his Ratatta."
Nice reference :3
This was my second pokemon game the remake. :3. I lost my poke walker though. Sad. I have so much nostalgia and will be buying the Walmart limited editions for like £200 because I need it
LSSJ Gaming I broke mine FeelsBadMan
I find weird that i have my Soul Silver since 2010 and i only used the Pokewalker once. Idk if it still turns on but it still looks brand new. P.S don't know what happened to the clip
LSSJ Gaming I don't need it, I don't need it...
I NEED IT!
So I’m going to get soul silver for myself this Christmas and let me say Lucy you got me so hyped to play it! I can’t wait!
"Ultra juicy" lol, took some work but caught that frame you sneak there 😂
anyone else feels this youtuber would make an incredible pair with superbutterbuns?
i like voltorb flip more than the slots... the only time i got me a porygon from game corner with earned coins instead of just bought ones
Bobobombastisch Really, there was one time in Leaf Green where I was hitting Jackpots every minute for about five minutes
Bobobombastisch it’s just luck I fucking hate it you’re required SO many points for shiny hunts that you can all lose with a bit of RNG
I agree it's way more fun and productive to earn coins by playing voltorb flip instead of the slots, but I hate that buying coins as an option was altogether scrapped
Bobobombastisch I was hunting for shiny Porygon in Hg so I had to earn 50,000 coins...
Haven't even won a single game of Voltorb Flip because I'm terrible at Minesweeper. I still haven't won and I've resorted to using my money to buy more coins just to get a TM for my Pokémon. I never got high enough to get the Porygon.
I feel ashamed for never completing SoulSilver
iiNebula you should
iiNebula I feel ashamed for having no games
How dare you.... You better get to it!
i cant train my swinub to level 37 like the rest of my team bc im too lazy lmao
iiNebula shame on you! Play it!! XD
This was a wonderfully well done video, thank you :)
Loved the video until she ripped on Joey, and his top 1% Rattata
Just a few small things to note: trainer battles in Kanto got more difficult. In Gen2 almost every trainer in Kanto was weaker than the Elite4. In Gen4 most of them are way stronger, and the Elite4 also gets more difficult, after beating most of Kanto's storyline. There are also way more trainers than in the original games and you can get phone numbers from them, in Gen2 there were only 3 trainers in Kanto, who would give away their phone number. And Victory Road has also been redesigned btw. Besides that, I loved your video.
I dont know, Joey’s Rattata is in the top percentage of Rattata.
the best feature of silver, gold, and crystal was never carried on to other generation main games, and it was the fact that you could go and explore the past region and fight through all the gyms and trainers there.
Just imagine finishing sword or shield and then having seven more regions to explore withing the same graphics and timeline of these games.
It’s funny how an gambling arcade game in pokemon is illlegal, but the lootbox mechanics we find everywhere is perfectly fine
I still wish to this day that the Gen 2 remakes were made in Gen 5 & not Gen 4.
Yeah. But than we'll have to fight over which is an better game. Which for me, Heartgold and Soulsilver & Black and White 2 are the best Pokemon games ever made.
I loved you even used the HG and SL ost’s
I got a bunch of flash backs from that
This channel just popped in my recommendations. I'm subscribing.
Damn, I can't believe you've earned so many subs. I remember watching your videos when you were at like 20k, and yet here you are. Congrats!
This is making me nostalgic of when I played HeartGold, I love that game so much
Great Video, I recently just bought SoulSilver and HeartGold :D
Their fairly rare and expensive this days and there's no problem buying an old game. I even bought both for collection purposes few years ago.
Is it just me who noticed that when you use moves like Fly or Surf the color that appears when you summon the Pokémon changes to either gold or silver depending on which version you play?
I’m might get this game on eBay does it matter which one I get or which one is better
@@Orly-pl4un It doesn’t matter too much so I don’t think it’ll really matter which of the two you get

The easiest one? Probably.
I have never respected a comment so much in my life
“The credits in this game are GORGEOUS!!” 24:05
What about Version differences between
Pokémon Stadium and Pokémon Stadium 2?
That would be an extremely unnecessary video but and interesting idea. However the only real differences are that they're more Pokemon now.
Stadium 2 is a sequel to Stadium, though. They're not 2 versions of the same game.
Pokémon Stadium is such a non mainstream Pokémon game I think views wise it isn’t a very good idea for Lucy
This is my favorite of your series!❤
My step daughter has recently got me back into Pokemon and I gotta say I remember the original gold and silver being released and heartgold is totally awesome.

This is actually pretty fucking amazing. I always played this game as a kid but just now I realize truly how magnificent they are and all the work the devs have done on these games
Thank god I found this video to tell me about the GB Sounds! I never knew it existed, and boy was I missing out!
@EDUARDO HERNANDEZ-MEDINA no? Why?
@EDUARDO HERNANDEZ-MEDINA Ever thought of going to GameStop? They sell used copies there you know..
@Loki Poketale I know right? Only thing I wish was they would of given you the GB player early on in the game so you can listen to the original soundtrack as you play instead of getting it late in the game.
Also, you can give Kurt several Apricorns instead of 1 per day, increasing massively the production of special pokeballs...
Candy do a video on how you feel about Pokémon ultra sun &’ ultra moon being the last 3ds Pokémon games
Torrie Starfrost Oh frick, I kept thinking you can trigger it again but I never really remembered if that was true. That's so fricking cool.
SunGuardian524 Yep ^^ The second time through Cynthia isn't there, and the other dude gives you different dialogue. I honestly didn't know about it myself until a few years after
Yooooooooo, I gotta try that out sometime if I ever get my hands of a different Arceus! Thank you! ^^
This deserves way more likes
I still can't believe that Kris is not the female playable character in these games. I just don't understand the creative decision behind getting rid of the 1st ever female protagonist when it's her time to shine again. If you ask me, that milestone needs to be celebrated!
It's just unfathomable how she didn't make it into the games. How do the creators not make that happen?
Crystal is back as she appears in the Masters (mobile
Air tempest Same with Earthquake. It is a physical move that doesnt make contact
Rock Slide/Tomb/Throw are another example, as they are throwing rocks, so they wouldn't touch the target themselves.
I remember I skipped the Pikachu-colored Pichu event as a kid bc I was like "okay it looks like a Pikachu, why bother?" and I didn't know it would get me the spiky-eared Pichu 😔
Tbh if they'd have called it shiny, I probably would've begged my mom to drive me to Gamestop so I could get it, but just calling it Pikachu-colored didn't give me much incentive-
This poor girl has the most non monotone monotone voice I have ever heard
Platinum is my favourite game that I’ve played but hgss is my favourite in general
Can typhlosion still learn thunder punch?
Couple things you either didn't mention or made mistakes on:
- Mt. Moon is not smaller, it is the exact same size as Gold/Silver (but yes, of course smaller than RBY)
- Your prizes from Buenas password are set, meaning you can only get one rare candy per month, instead of one every 3 days
- You must go to pokegear to see the location of legendary dogs, but in GSC you could see them from using fly on the map.
- the guy who sells you Flamethrower, ice beam, and thunder bolt in goldenrod city on weekends, no longer exists
- You don't get experience from the trainer battle area in viridian city
- The music in the pokegear is much worse than GSC
- Your prize from healing miltank is useless
- Safari zone sucks, no items and no trainers (yes i acknowledge this point is a little unfair since its not a comparison to GSC, but still)
- the elite 4 gets stronger once you beat the game, which is awesome
- Despite the game being so much larger than GSC, some removed areas do not return, such as cinnibar island, sliph co. building (kinda), the upper floors of the lavender radio tower)
- fighting dojo is used to re-battle gym leaders, however the leader of the dojo doesn't give you an item anymore
- i know you already said this one, but not being able to re-battle trainers on the boat is SOOOO stupid, however the captain gives you an item everytime you board now (even though the item is useless))
- You're wrong about the national park prizes, they're far worse, and the competition is much harder to win.
Keep up the great work
I remember purchasing HeartGold off of Amazon and playing it on my DS lite, soon after moving onto Pokemon black I got rid of HG but this month I've been in a nostalgic mode and playing an emulator version of HG on my phone
