I love how the start of the fight is just a Nature Dokumentary:
"And here we have great General Radahn in his natural habitat, dragging his broken body accross the desert. The keen viewer can see how all senses have left him, with only his Animalistic Instincts driving him forward. He is now letting out his often heard roar of pain and despair, both of which we will releave him soon."
P.S.: This Bossfight is prove that Fromsoft watched all the Bonefire NPC's vs Bosses series and though :"Yo, we can do that too!"
can you expand on that PS part for me please ?
@@LiLSizzlerr BonFireVN is a RUclips channel where they spawn multiple NPC’s/Bosses to fight each other. It’s in Slave Knight Gael’s arena, very similar to this one.
It's an awesome RUclips channel
It's a shore, not a desert.
That horse is obviously the strongest in the universe to be able to lift up Radahn
Since he can control the gravity. He may much lighter than you think.
Plot twist: the horse itself is actually THE general
@@arujofied he’s the captain now
Radahn learned gravity magic because he was getting too big for the horse and he didn't want to abandon it
That's not a horse. It's where the phrase "hung like a horse" came from, though, so in a way... it's still a horse.
The fact this dude had long since been reduced to an animal from the Scarlet Rot and still had enough strength to keep a whole ass star from hitting the Lands Between for at least a few centuries is absolutely ridiculous. I'm terrified to see what he was like at full strength
It's even more ridiculous to think that the cause of all this disgusting condition of Caelid is no one other than the "Valkyrie" from the promotional art.
This is literally Resident Evil territory.
Ishhin + Scorpion from MK i Guess... Also he's called General Radahn, and Commander O'Neil is no joke...
Maybe one of the Expansions for the game takes place in the Past during the Golden age of the Lands Between before the Elden Ring was shattered. We can fight Prime Radahn then!
@@godzilla4189 It would be great, but I feel like a prime Randahn only focus on fighting the player should be unbeatable, the guy was literally locking the star in place if he used that power on the player I don't see how he wouldn't immediately kill us.
@@raitoiro power of grind can beat radahn.
Every main boss fight feels like the final boss of the game, this game is incredible
that snake dude in volcano manor was a total pushover though... couldn't even protect his booty
@@herbertwalter8693 that guy was 10x harder than radahn. Ridiculous undodgeable attack that 1 shots, combined with other 1 shot attacks, plus I'm a sorcerer so I had to completely abandon my characters stats in favor of a random weapon to use against the boss. Was not happy 1 single second fighting that boss for what must've been hours.
@@trevorveillette8415 yeah this game really has a problem with builds imo. Been playing melee my whole life but elden ring melee is just hell on earth half of the time, feels like the game is literally made around spells
@@therenx8385 ironically spells can feel like cock and ball torture. Certain bosses just DONT allow sorcery. Try fighting the briar boss in the shaded castle as a mage. You simply will not be able to beat him with anything but carrion slicer. Or maybe swift glint shard, but that's lower dps anyways, so no point
@@trevorveillette8415 damn that sucks, was thinking of doing a mage run next time
For those of you who are wondering how that horse can lift Radahn, he studied gravity magic just so he ride his trusty steed. (It's said in his rememberance)
Edit: Thanks for the likes, I never had this much before 💀
Oh yes I read it
Real Men leave no one behind
I wanted to say thats the power of friendship but he ate the horse so I guess thats wrong
@@Ryu-qk1kx He didn't ate the horse he ate the corpse of somebody, his horse still with him the entire fight
Also him munches horse
Love the giant, bestial warrior with the power to command the stars themselves to attack you, beaten down by poison over time so much he's gone insane and it takes a small army on your side to finally put him down... who loves his tiny, anemic horse that looks like it's going to fall over and die at any moment so much he learned gravity magic just so he and his companion could continue to ride into battle. Radahn, you absolute unit.
Unit of a man with a unit of a heart
The Starscourge, mightiest of the demigods, a literal one man/horse army.
If this was D&D you bet he'd be knocked out and cast Greater Restoration on. He seems like a true bro
I think I might be the only one to only summon one npc throughout this and that’s just because he’s part of my quest line lol
"Starscourge" has to be one of the coolest boss titles I've ever seen
And in general the boss fights in this game seem to be on a different level altogether
Trop d’accord il est ultra classe . Le seul que je trouvais plus classe c’est le roi sans nom. Dans Dark soule 3
This is not a good boss fight, though. It kinda sucks compared to the best of Fromsoft.
@@Werkvuur This fight is epic as hell wdym? The only thing that absolutely pissed me off was the meteorites he summons were one shotting me so easily.
@@timklafke4712 same fight was cool af, took me like 30 attempts to realize you have to run toward the side the meteors are coming from to dodge them
@@arkcantoscreampsnpc7274 For the meteors, I just ended up getting off my horse and rolling through them when I saw he was about to do that attack
The best part is that he was Literally keeping the "stars" in the sky and the moment he caught the fade, down they went! Easily one of my favorite characters/bosses
For the first time ever, fromsoftware took the "Power of friendship" meaning literally.
Also the “too angry to die”
I wouldn't call it "friendship", its more ljke coming together to fight for the same interest
2:48 I like how patches was slowly taking his time to arrive to the battle and saw the amount of sheer devastation radahn was causing and just noped tf out
Fucking patches.
Don’t blame him tbh. Props for him trying though
Can you blame him? This guys a fucking monster lol
I wish I knew who patches is
@@356z He's an asshole is who he is. Can be quite useful though
If I'm getting this right, Radahn wasn't just a scarlet rot crazed warrior doomed to wander. He was actively keeping a star from falling using his gravity power, or maybe he had a gravity field up that was protecting the world from falling stars and it just happened that those were on their way when he died.
"Held something back" can mean he was literally stopping it, but it can also mean he never used it as an attack until he was about to die.
That’s why ranni wants you to kill him, to get to nekron
@@Oak_Tree322 can you explain that to me? I don't have the game, I'm just a lore fan. Necron is the star bastard or void monster guy?
@@CNNBlackmailSupport Nekron is an eternal city underground. Ranni wants you to kill Rahdan so that the star will fall and create a hole in the ground that gives you access to the city nekron. And that’s how you get to nekron in the game.
@@ethanbuckley6364 crazy! Thank you! Nekron was always the Black Lantern guy or the 40k robot skeletons, so I'm adding to my mental references
May grace guide thee tarnished
God damn, if that isn't final boss territory. It looks stunning.
Radahn is only the second major boss in the game
@@VindexSolis BRO WHAT
@@arva2121 Yup, there's 6 main demigods you have to face and Radahn is only the second one, plus there will probably be a few more after you defeat the initial 6 like that Melania girl with the detachable arm Idk about that for sure though
@@VindexSolis Not exactly correct; they can be done in any order. Radahn is distinct in that he's not to difficult with all those summons, but is one of the hardest to solo.
@@Count.Saruman he’s still hard even with the summons lmao
hold up, what do you mean he was holding back the falling star? You are telling me this guy, turned insane and wandering the deserts, had enough willpower and might to prevent a meteorite from impacting the world?
I think so
He was the strongest demigod out of the others, and he has been controlling the stars since the beginning of his era
I think it wasn't just a singular star. One star hit the planet, yes, but look at the countless more that strike past. Starscourge is a terrifying monster of a demigod.
According to some of the NPCs dialogue, he is basically the strongest demigod
@@Urd-Vidan it's not really a star that hit the world, if it was the planet would of been erased before it even got close
I love how patches just pussed out and left leaving everyone to fight radahn
I mean it’s patches if he doesn’t betray and or is a spider in some way shape or form then it is not patches
From the moment I saw him summoned I knew this was a legendary game. Also, his desummoning is so in character you'd think he was a real person by this point.
Fits his character really. Runs away from a fight and returns to collect the crumbs from the aftermath, thus outliving everyone else.
Well. it is fucking patches, doing what he does best. Leaving your ass to rot.
I wonder if he has anything to say if you go confront him after he ran from the fight?
This is the first dark souls boss where you actually have more then just fighting the boss as an option. Hell the game specifically tells you "Summon everyone or die" from the start. I bet there's gonna be people who do him solo as a challenge.
Only real foos play without assistance. Magic is for chumps.
@@luislinares690 Really gonna be like that huh. Magic isn't for chumps because if you take one hit you die. Melee builds are actually considered the easiest in Dark Souls games because the games are always built around them and they get ridiculous amounts of health, have little to manage, etc. With magic, In exchange for being a glass cannon and having shorter fights, you have less room to screw up. Like check Havel builds for example. Very few enemies resist melee as well and spells have resistances.
They also gave you a horse in this game to ENCOURAGE you to play hit and run, so the game's going to be even easier if you go melee.
Old Ivory King had you find the Ivory Knights if you wanted them to fight with you. Does that count.
@@bloodyidit4506 dude you get hit twice by a boss you die regardless of build. The point is you can play range overall just easier.
Lol there's a french streamer named Sardoche who's about to do it solo he already proved that he can kill him but this crazy bastard want to do the no hit challenge without spell nor summoning lmao
Edit : He did it omg
One of the best boss fight in the game, I love how we can summon bunch of friends to fight with us just like a war
Even the power of friendship is too much for the general!
"just like a war", against a one-man army, you're goddamn right
I only summoned them once for the fight. He annihilated them all
That’s so badass how all of your Allies run by your side to fight him god I’m going to enjoy playing this game dude
Yeah felt pretty anime charging with the wolf and pot bro, then one shotting him with my kamehameha combo wombo, super cool!
It was only like half way through I realized the huge lad was riding a horse... I legit laughed out so hard it just looks so goofy 🤣
To be fair, that horse is his best friend. Radahn learned gravity magic because he didn't want to abandon his horse. Also, he probably weighs very lightly since, yk, gravity magic
Patches unsummoning himself is the funniest thing in a FromSoft game since that one DS2 Invader that pretends to be friendly before backstabbing you
Starscourge Radahn is literally a raid boss.
Radahn will always give me Ganon vibes and now with him crawling on all fours like a beast. I see it even more now
So the Elden Ring is literally the friends we made along the way?
So what, we some kind of... Elden Ring?
Yeah. That's the power of 'nakama'
2:20 watching Iron Fist Alexander (the warrior Jar) charge into battle against a literal demi-god, armed with nothing but his fists is the stuff of my motivational dreams. Gods bless that jar!
I just beat this bastard after too many tries... probably the coolest and one of the hardest boss fights I’ve had in any souls game.
Ok so you know how can I make the festival begin I talked to the old man and I dont know what to do
@@davidrueda3148 I had the same confusion. You gotta head into the church behind him, and some doors opened up leading to an elevator that leads to a teleportation tablet thing.
I was a full melee build and didn’t want to let the npc handle the whole fight 😅
I beat him first solo try
At first I was helping other people cuz I wanted to see what he’s like and his hp was crazy
Then I solo it and he’s dead in 4 minutes
@@nagaskay7381 bro no one is going to believe in you.

Grunbeld!
Holy shit. Your Mr. Pot companion was going ham on that boss 🔥🔥🔥
I love how this fight’s just like, “get ya homies. This one’s gonna be a doozy.”
this boss took 20 years off my life
Ngl as a souls vet when I got the option to summon a bunch of NPC to fight this dude was such an epic yet terrifying feeling. It's like Fromsoftware saying, "This boss is going to be hard and here's a bunch of NPC that are willing to fight him. Good luck." Felt like a commander charging in with his troops willing to go through Hell.
They literally put Guts as an ally in this game.

Also wtf Patches fcking bails I'm done lmaoooo.
Dude is such a chad, held a festival of warriors just so his death was honorable. Also being able to hold a meteor shower while scarlet rot is slowly killing, makes me think he's the strongest in elden ring, prolly stronger than Godfrey

So to be clear this SOB was the strongest demi-god cause he sure as shit felt like it.

It took me a few tries to find out you can re-summon the other champions multiple times. Made the fight much easier lol
This is one of the best bosses in the game. He's certainly not an easy boss though lol. He killed me 12 times yesterday

I feel kinda bad for him tbh, don’t know how evil/righteous he was before this, but he’s clearly just a wandering husk in misery. I wonder if all the demigod siblings will measure up to former FS tragic bosses even more in how bad we feel about them lol.
Hes another Artorias/Sir Alonne/Abyss Watcher/Father Gascoine. A once great Hero knight that turned crazy due to some polluting darkness/plague/corruption and becomes a cannibalistic mass murdering shitlord.

Imagine trying to do the game RL1
This was my least favorite fight in all the souls games. Was ridiculously boring due to the only viable way to win was to cheese him
@@Godakuri no you can win him the chad way. You just need to put some time and skill into it.
@@Godakuri lol no, i beat him without summon because the summon just ruin his aggro and make it harder to dodge. lvl 65 dual katana so a little meta build but still you can do it the duel way.

You gonna need luck trying to get no hit on this fight
i gotta say summoning those guys and then those npcs you have talked to during the fight make this boss so much better. its really cool to have it be you and your team vs him
5:06 - You're so damn lucky haha! Those astroids will one shot you. Whenever I saw that attack incoming id try to get a sand dune between me and Radhan.
Good work. I LOVED this fight. He kicked my ass for 2 hours
Especially if you're melee. Fight is entirely a different story. However.. our "easy fight" was Renna.
That's all I was thinking too Haha, finally beat him tonight with a melee build and he had to be the toughest boss ever. Cant just run with the horse and cast on him, cant even use the horse as melee honestly.
I have a bulwark, heavy shield build with like 100+ poise so I legit had to just hold my shield up buffed and take that gravity attack. It was terrifying Haha glad hes dead awesome fight
What level and class were you using to win
@@Bubba_1776 Im a vaga knight. Was somewhere in the 40s using a cross spear

Radahn the Leg Day Skipper
This guy in his prime should be in a dlc
All the cutscenes for the bosses have been amazing
Madara - i can defeat whole army
General radhan - hold my horse
Just did this boss fight. How they hype up Radahn the whole game leading up to him makes you think he’s unstoppable, to the point where the devs know you’ll need pretty much everybody in the game to kill him. And he’s not even the final boss. The dude is a whole god
This is the first time Miyazaki actually removed feet from one of his games

Fought him today, what an amazing and challenging boss, the arena, music and atmosphere were breathtaking, It was so fun going into an absolute war with all the homies i gathered! 10/10
The people calling this boss "the worst" are actual clowns.
I wouldn't call him bad, just stressful because of how easily he can combo you to death. Other than that, it was easily the most epic boss fight in the souls games.
I mean, he can be the worst in how frustrating he can be at times. But I only have myself to blame for my mistakes. :)
THIS was the bossfight that to me, first showed what an impact GRRM’s influence had on the game
... What the hell does he have to do with anything in this fight :|
I'm aware he was contacted to write some basis for the game's lore, which to me is most apparent from how rich and detailed the background is for each dynasty, but I don't really see anything GRRMesque in that fight
He's dragged his feet in the dirty riding his steed for so long to the point that it has been grated down to his ankles
General Radahn reminds me a lot about Magnus The Red from 40K: A giant demigod general and leader of men, with immense physical power and nigh-unparalleled magical potential, whom cared the world for their men before and after their fall from grace (at least compared to their peers), with the imagery of red hair and technicolor skin (blueish and red respectively), whom both ultimately fell from grace and became monstrous yet pitiable in different ways after a climactic final battle between whom was considered the strongest of their kin (Malenia/Russ) as the demigods/primarchs warred amongst each other.
At first, I thought his animation got bugged but no, he was just on a normal ass horse like an adult playing on a wooden horse for kids.
And then he fucking left the planet just to go Majora"s Mask on your ass (which I was also doing by spamming the Full Moon spell).
Not the most difficult fight but the most ridiculous and for that 10/10.
Is that Slave Knight Gael pretending to be some announcer?
Radahn is the new Artorias
And Malenia is the new Manus.
Blaidd runs and fights like the Abyss Watchers.
"How the fuck do you even beat a thing like that?"
"Why, you bring friends of course"
The fact this Man has a chant with halo vibes😂 before you even face him and a fanatic screaming about him
a boss that needed an army to beat
It always cracks me up that if you summon Patches he just dips the hell out of there
This BLOWS as a melee character
This fight makes you feel like a general riding around on torrent summoning your friends
At the beginning, the music sounded like halo for a second lol
I was thinking that maybe his title could've been cooler, maybe like "General Radahn, Scourge of the Stars" but when you look at where he is and what he's become, the title doesn't need to be eloquent because that's all he's devolved into at this point - a Starscourge and nothing more.
I 100% believe they wanted to make a boss, out of the WOOO guys from Sekiro, and Oh boi did it work out
Elden Ring is too beautiful man.
I barely made a dent because I’m just wondering around and exploring.
The vibes ive got from this fight are incredible. got goosebumps as ive heard the theme and the festival started
FINNALLYYY A SOUL LIKE BOSS BUT YOU CAN RAID IT WITH TEAMMATES
Radahn is basically the Wii Sports Matt of the Elden Ring universe.
You summon like 5 or more helpers, then immediately upon contact with Radahn, you see notices ".... has died" one after another in rapid succession, LOL.
He is basically like krono from god of war. Its sad to see them wandering
when i was finished this fight the meteor landed and my game immediately crashed. when i loaded it back up it seemed like i won but none of the npcs were there and the sight of grace was missing. had to commit die to reset the area by jumping into the water since i couldn't teleport to any sights of grace and my objects that would send me back to a grace area weren't working. thought it was pretty funny since Radahn was cursed to wander and the game woulda done the same to me if i didn't weaponize mortality
Dude what are these boss fights, nerdgasm
Legends said someone could parry that meteor jump
This is why I love fromsoft, every time they make a game I'm always like "How are they gonna top their last game" (sekiro in this case) and then they pull this shit out their a**
"Pulled out of the ass" could unfortunately describe a lot of this game's bosses and mobs -_-
Sometimes, like this, it's justified and in hindisight at least you can think "eh, that's a pretty great idea"... but most of the time it's just "oh hey another boss where I'll have to use my summons because the boss has less openings Dancer when she spins, his attacks cover half the arena and also the boss brought his friends".
It just ended up being tedious for me most of the time :/
Fortunately the lore and the art are the best they've ever been though ^^
"Aight, so we got a gigantic Demigod Boss with multiple set of terrifying weapon, amazing theme, and cool Emiya UBW map, got anything to make his design better?"
"Yes, Make him ride a tiny ass horse"
This boss fight almost put me into a fit of rage even my mom couldn't break me out of.
Reminds me of Madara vs Shinobi alliance, this boss fight was awesome asf
FIrst time comes to mind when hearing "Starscourge" is that fictional phenomenon in FFXV.
I feel sorry for the horse, even worse since general Radahn can manipulate gravity, so he actually doesn't need the horse at all.
Beating this guy without being over leveled and only using melee is one of proudest moments I’ve ever had.
Not once in probably 30 attempts was I able to evade the gravity balls and meteorites by just strafing with the horse like at 4:54 and 5:09. Either I had to time a jump and dash perfectly, use dismount s, or just ate them all to the face. Am I missing something?
It took me I think 2 hours or so to beat him and I found it very inconsistent. I found I had to use dash or I'd die to those or the meteors. You can also jump over his gravity waves.
Bruh wtf that poor horse
It's like that family guy clip where Peter was riding that mini tricycle
Radahn study gravity magic so he don't have to abandon his beloved horse
Man the voice acting was perfection I think game 😌👌
Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity? Insanity is doing the exact same fucking thing over and over again and expecting shit to change. That is crazy.
He's that boss where your needs to go to his feet for dodges than rolling backwards or sideways. When going to his feet for hits and only Gravity attacks reach me. Arrow snipe can be dodge by dodge rolling or Torrent sprinting sideways at the last second before the arrows hit. Don't sprint when he is about to unleash it and on it's way, gallop and when its near SPRINT SIDEWAYS. Dodge roll to his feet and hit him 1-2 times. Don't overstay your welcome to his feet. He'll try to reset away from you if you stick there and punish you with a sweep. The only attack that can damage you if you didn't time your rolls in his feet is his First Phase Gravity attacks.
Second phase just listen carefully on which left or right side of the Tallest Dunes he will land. Go diagonally away from him at the time the meteor sound appears as he will either land on that side of the tallest dunes(Left or right, or rather, the front or the back of the tallest dunes. Easy to dodge the meteor with this.
The hardest part here in his second phase is feet strategy won't be consistent due to his attack variation now doing Gravity attacks. So yeah, choose timings on when to attack his feet in his combos as you roll to them perfectly hell die if you get your rolls right. He has attacks size of Yhorm's machete slam so you'll rely on I-Frames for this rather than rolling away. He's that type of boss. You don't want to roll away but rather the safest spot is his feet. Specifically his Achilles heel. Hit it 1-2 times but play defensively and you'll do good. If your going a bit on dying territory, summon. Don't be afraid to summon. He's made in mind to fight Multiple NPC's in mind after all. You can use them for damage and distraction while you heel.
This is done solo with a +9 Greatsword with no summons, died 19 times as I try to telegraph his arrows and Gravity attacks most of the time than his Greatswords since I already ate Yhorm's attacks in the past. Don't bother with the head or punish when his mount dies. Focus buffs and heals instead since he can punish peeps who try to score hits. Yeah, this is a long fight unless you have good weapon upgraded. This fight when done solo requires Pure Defensive Plays and no aggressive play.
One of my favorite fights in the series!
Did anyone notice that General Radahn doesn't have his feet. They are chopped off from the ankle. That's the reason why he needs his horse to move around even in the cutcene. That's probably the reason he has to use Gravitational magic to move around. He may have lost in the war or in his fight with Malenia, The Goddess of Rot
Putting boss fight in the name like you didn’t summon 30 people
Its so funny Patches gets summoned then nopes out immediately to return home
Jarren's voice actor sounds like the guy who did the similar battle festival hosting in KCD.
This boss is so hilarious lmao. Horse real MVP.
This is the new bed of chaos. Whenever from deviates from their normal fight mechanics it goes to shit.
god it's so cool seeing everyone charge towards this chad of a champion
