I finally got to beat this game after 16 years I am so happy they put it on Xbox one I was 4 years old when i had this game for the N64 but had no way to save it so i could never beat it

I too could never save and basically only got to world 3, I did however get the cheat codes I copied from a gaming mag and got to fight all the bosses with unlimited ammo and weapons :)
Same thing but with Turok 2
When Turok came out on a PC in 97, I didn't have 3Dfx to play it. Then I had Voodoo 3, but I didn't have the patience to finish it. Thanks to you and your video instructions, I finally made it to the end after 23 years :-) Thanks!
Fun fact: in the n64, if the player attempts to use fusion cannon, the final boss will laugh and tarok will automatically change the fusion cannon for another weapon. in the remastered version, it will have no effect at all. final boss is immune to it-
Same goes with the Pulse Rifle, Alien Weapon, and Particle Accelerator.
Must be his classic cyborg-shaman-warrior powers...
Ahh!! Thanks for the insight! I was pretty upset about the Fusion Cannon projectile just not even exploding at all... I thought there were glitches!
On another note: the chronoscepter kicks major ass..!
Seriously, just as I played this remaster, revisiting this childhood revolution, I sincerely considered that the guns in this game (and it's sequel) might be my favorite of all-time... even over the BFG...

Yeah buddy! I appreciate you mate. Some of my earliest memories in gaming are with Turok, N64 being my first console, and only Nintendo system in general. I had an older "cool Uncle" in Colorado that also adored this game, and all things dinos, so this game hits close to home on many levels. Thank you much for these wonderful walkthroughs, secrets and all. Now onto part 2. Much love! 💚🦖🪶💀🏹🤖👽

Thanks for these. Never finished this game as a kid, nice to revisit the PS4 version and 100% the trophies. Mainly used your videos for the secret areas trophy as I was watching another one and it just kept skipping to the area and I needed someone to actually show me where they were at.

Nightdive Studios did an amazing Job remastering the entire game. I am so looking Forward to see a lets Play of Turok 2 - Seeds of Evil from you, depending on whether you actually want to make a lets Play of their Remake, of Course.

This Game Has So Many Issues Tho: Nauseating Camera, Impossible Collectibles, Maze-Like Structure. It Got Away With These Things Because At The Time I Doubt Anybody Knew Any Better...
And I Think The Reason The Game Is So “Mazy” Is Because Of The N64 Render Distance Affecting Development. I Doubt Any Kid Could Beat This Game Without A Paper-Back Manual...
The quick weapon select you referred to on the N64 was done in Seeds of Evil, not the first one. Would've been cool if they brought it to the remastered game

Just finished this game after 20 yrs. love being able to close that gaming chapter. Beating the campaigner with the chronosceptor is almost anti climactic. Depending on how much health you enter the final battle with, the campaigner isn’t that difficult anyways especially when the arena is full of mini gun ammo and explosive shotgun shells for reload.
Thanks for the help! First time I played Turok when I was 10 yo on Nintendo 64. Game was too complicated for me and I did not have card for saves :P Today I finnaly finished this game after 25 years mainly thanks to your advices :) Time for Turok 2: Seeds of Evil now! :)

36:03 : You can't use the Fusion Cannon against the final boss because he has somehow the ability to force you to switch to the knife as soon you attempt to charge the weapon. (In the original game that was what the Campaigner do so the Fusion Cannon was meant to be totally useless against him, not to mention that it forces you to seek the Chronoscepter even more.)
So yeah it does make sense that the Fusion Cannon is totally useless against him because the charge doesn't even detonate. It's just as good as against aliens if you know the reference. :) )

They might have changed it but in the original game you cannot use the shockwave weapon or the fusion cannon against the last boss. When you try he takes the weapon away from you. I'm surprised that the rocket launcher worked since in the original game the only explosives that worked were the tek arrows and the explosive shotgun shells.

Jombombo, Tahal Set wears traditional eagle feathers, shirtless as the lost land is full of swealteringly hot environments, a magic satchel [LOT of guns, right?] Levi's & Nike Airforce Ones complete with traditional butt flap// makes comfort a priority for tracking down the fabled chronoscepter and ending the Campaigners nefarious plot to break through the barriers of time and space to rule our world from the lost land a Light Burden (-: much love to everyone

One time when i beat the final boss on the N64 Turok ended up whit a broken leg did this ever happend to you??? Or maybe it was a bug but it was so fun to see! 🤣
That happened if you used the minigun a lot against him, I tried it but it seemed that it got patched.
Weird, that there is a triceratops in the end credits. I could swear that when I beat it on the n64 as a kid it was a stegosaur. Maybe my memorys mixed it up with some other game/movie

When i think about it how i was supposed to beat the game with my 10 years. xd The maps are so hard and big. I think i never beat level 4.
Champaigner is defeated with three full charges of the Chronoscepter beat him within seconds

I was able to defeat the final boss using Chronoscepter, but I took like 10% of his health using other weapons, then two Chronoscepter shots and booom

I now know not to over right my saves, now I have to do it ALL over again to get the achievements for 1 more secret area and the Chronoscepter..........fuck

I completed turok for the first time and was disappointed that the Boss was down in 30 secs. Cronuscepter should be banned XD

The last 2 levels weren’t as much fun to me. After the treetop level the game falls off and loses its jungle vibe.
Man this level felt pretty linear compared to the other levels.
