Awesome review but the reason it don't have an easily adjustable dial while using it is because if you put a dial directly beside your thumb what's going to happen to the dial it's going to become filthy so that's why they chose to put it at the top I think
Had my blender for 2 years now the chopper has stopped it’s not the machine drive it’s the chopper top will not spin rather disappointed I thought I was buying quality but seemingly not

I m sure that the chopper is not the best to grind spices, but could you use it to do so in a pinch?
