Just got mine last month. I'm almost 70 and this has quickly become one of my faves in the kitchen. 1st used after cooking a whole bunch of celery, potato and cauliflower in my 3 qt Instant Pot. The end of my immersion stick is coated with silicon so it won't scratch my ceramic cookware. It made perfect soup. Tonight I used the beater attachment and made tapioca. Love it!

Just bought mine yesterday at Kohls. A Cuisinart with attachments. My 9 yr old Grandson is coming tomorrow and we'll make smoothies. Can you do a presentation on making herbal butters with one of these gadgets? Tonight I used mine to mash up sweet potatoes with a touch of Maple Syrup for sweetener. Amazing. Smoothest sweet potatoes ever, not stringy and with tiny chunks like my past efforts on Thanksgiving, ha! I just subscribed to your chanel Chef. From Missouri, I Thank you.
Hey! Thanks for stopping by and for the sub! That is awesome! Oh yeah.... These things make super smooth stuff.... puree's are great with it! I can do some herbal butter with it... will put it on the schedule. I've got some other stuff on here that I did with it as well.... Potato Puree, A gastrique sauce, and some mayo as well. Let me know how the smoothies go!
Cool! Funny story.. I had that thing for quite a while before I really started using it, then I got hooked. I can't even remember why I originally got it. Haha. Super handy.. especially if you like really smooth sauces and purees.
I got one and whipped up boxed pudding….twice. 😅 I can’t figure out how to get the lid off the chopper. That’s what I was looking for when I found your channel. Think I’ll try the whip cream though. Thanks!
I'm looking for a mini immersion blender as I need to puree our cat food since she is getting older. The reason why it needs to be smaller is because there wouldn't be enough food from the can for a normal sized blender to work correctly. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for something that will achieve the same outcome? (Ps. The can must be used within 3 days, so adding more cans will be a waste) @JoesPhenomenal
I was trying to research those for you... it seems like all the tiny ones are more suiting to just doing milk frothing and stuff like that. If you added more cans, could you keep the leftover in sealed tupperware in the refrigerator?
Yep... it's basically eggs and oil for the most part. Makes sense when you look at how many calories and fat you end up getting in a tbsp, doesn't it? When I started dropping weight, the first thing I did was stop drinking regular soda and I skipped the mayo on my burgers. Those 2 things made a massive difference without changing anything else.
Not a ton, but I've tested the Cuisinart in the video, the Ninja one, and also a KitchenAid, and they all had different power ratings. As far as what I was doing, they all did a nice job.
The store bought ones have preservatives and stuff in them... I've had this in the fridge for about a week before, but I wouldn't go much longer that that. Also if you want to be extra safe, use pasteurized eggs if ya can.
a year late but...I had a thunderstick blender for years that came apart, it finally broke and I could NOT find it any more to replace it. I finally found a Baymix brand and this one, whilst it does not come apart, has three 'blades' with it. one for chopping (more like the shape of the blades in a regular processor but smaller) and two discs one for whipping and one for beating I also brought a meat blade (like the sharp one on your blender) you can also get grinders and a 'processor' attachment but these have shot up in price and I'm not totally convinced they are needed (but I guess handy to have if you have spare cash) the baymix has two speeds but with the right disc on it can whip cold milk into a foam to use as a dessert or to top coffee or as a whipped cream alternative.
Ninja makes one that has a immersion blender head, and also a hand mixer head with detachable beaters and a wisk. Works pretty good. We've been playing around with it.
yeah, it's nice but I like the Baymix. easier to store in my tiny kitchen! also found out it does come apart. not the same way. my baymix the blades come off of course, but the splash guard also unscrews so makes it very easy to clean.....you cna also clean it (as I guess you can any of them) just putting it in water as if to use it and turning it on.
I got.mine a.year ago. use it.for.mashing.potatos.awesome.smooth.Also, unsweetened.apple.sauce.with leaving skin on.Fast and nutritious. Never will buy apple sauce in stores or mayo ever again. Handy gaget
I have a question for you. Do you think this immersion blender will stir fudge as the final step after cooking instead of the common method of using a wooden spoon?
I'm heeeere! Thanks for sharing. I'll be back. Good content. I think I'd prefer to have an immersion blender over the regular blender. I am thinking that the clean up process is much easier as well. Under $30 sounds like a good deal.
Do you think cranberry sauce would work? Maybe with some orange zest or something festive added in? Could maybe make a yummy egg nog too. Always wanted to learn how to do that:)
@Maria_02779 yes... That will work. With the eggnog too. It's gonna bake it really smooth though, so if you like chunky cranberry sauce, you just want to pulse it a little.
@@JoesPhenomenal I like both, so that's totally fine with me. Just found your egg nog video this morning too. Very excited to try both now. Thank you so much. Take care:)
As long as you don't do that the other way around...lol. But seriously, it has shielding in the handle that's SUPPOSED to protect you from that.... Not dead yet, so it must be working!
I subscribed immediately. Great quality content. Do you mind sharing your mayo recipe? It looked wonderful. Also, how long does it keep and what container do you recommend using? 😊
Thanks for subbing! I appreciate you. I have that recipe on the channel. Here is the link: ruclips.net/video/Hnq7QhIN14c/видео.html. I should keep around a week no problem in the refrigerator, and I just keep it in tupperware with a lid.
How many watts should the Immersion Blender be since I want to buy one but see 200W all the way to 1000W and is there any difference else why are there so many different power option.
Hi, Ainz. It works a lot like it does with ordinary blenders. Typically, you get smoother results with more power since the blade spins faster and doesnt bog down as much. However, mine is only 300w and I have never had a issue with that and everything comes out buttery smooth... so, IMO power levels don't matter as much with immersion blenders... at least not with anything I've ever made with them. Hope that helps.
I think you'll like it.... Just be sure to immerse the head of it into you stuff before starting it up, or it will make a big mess. It makes really smooth purees and sauces.
I’m trying to decide on buying the Cuisinart Cordless vs. a corded model immersion blender. I need this mostly to mix powdered drinks in the morning and during the day. Not sure if the cord would bother me too much or not. Any recommendations?
If you plan to use it a lot I would do the cordless. I almost bought that one myself, but since I only use it occasionally, it would probably be on low battery too often for me. The cord is a little annoying though.
@@JoesPhenomenal I plan to use it to mix drinks about 3-4 times a day; however, I’m wondering if the constant recharging needed for the cordless model will eventually kill the battery.
Those batteries are usually good for quite a few charges (in the thousands) and if you're not blending for a super long time, you might get around 4 or 5 days out of a charge depending... Need to look into that and see how long that thing is supposed to run before it needs to be recharged.
you make it look easy (the mayonaise), but when i try it it doesn't work, after a few minutes of whipping the mixture is getting warm but still not emulsifying :(
That's odd..... are you letting the eggs sit out a bit? If they are too cold, it might not blend properly. Also, what speed is your immersion blender set to? If it's set to high, it might make that happen, too, possibly?
Joe, I want to blend my morning hot Matcha with oat milk, and also I want to blend/mix my hydration powders into water. I’m thinking of getting the Cuisinart cordless hand blender. Do you think the 2.3” width of the blender will be too large for this?
I think it depends on how much you are planning to drink. As long as you can get the head of the immersion blender submerged, it should be fine though, so I would think anything over maybe a cup and a half should be pretty easy.. otherwise, you can just run it on low speed if it has variable speed control on it.
OK... The Cuisinart head is about 1 1/4 deep and 2 1/2 wide. If you put thta down into something, it's going to push that liquid up anyway as it displaces it, so not too bad.
I almost bought that evolution one. I was gonna, but ended ip getting that Ninja 2 in 1 thing instead. If you plan to use it on a regular basis, I'd buy the cordless. Not having that in the way is pretty cool. Not sure how long the charge lasts on those though.
@@JoesPhenomenal Everything has changed. It turns out that a hand blender cannot froth oat milk at all, so I can only use a big blender for other tasks. I had no idea, but I tried it and it was a bust, so the KitchenAid may be going back. I’m now looking for a battery operated frother, no longer a hand blender.
Yes you can! Just be sure you are using pasteurized eggs so you don't run any kind of risk of samonella or something like that. Most eggs (in the USA, anyway) are already pasteurized, so they are ok for the most part, but it's always a good idea to double check.
Hi, Joe. Sorry to be a nuisance, but I was wondering which brand of immersion blender you would consider "affordable"?? As I said in one of my other comments on your other video, I'm going WFPB, and wanted to try making soups & stews in my slow cooker (I refuse to pay money for an instant pot....partly because I have a small kitchen & don't have alot of cupboard space for too many appliances). I'd mainly want to use it for semi-pureeing my soups/stews to a more creamy texture. Anyway, let me know what you'd recommend. Thanks.
LOL... no problem at all. The one I used in the video isn't made anymore, but here goes the model that replaced it on amazon: amzn.to/3GmCRB7. I think it has a 300w motor on it? comes with some cool goodies, too. Been really happy with the power on mine, and this one is a little bit stronger....
This one is a little bit cheaper, and it's pretty comparable to the other one too. amzn.to/3CiTFGR. Just an FYI that the links I sent to you here are from my Amazon affiliate account. If you purchase items through my links, I do get a small commission from Amazon, but it doesn't affect what you pay or anything like that. Just wanted to make sure you were aware of that, though!
You can, but it suppose it depends on the texture that you want to get out of it. Immersion blenders make everything really smooth and creamy. Not always the best for everything.
I live on the wild side. 😉. But seriously, that Cuisinart model can't be turned on unless you're holding the power button in and the buttons sit flush so it's a lot harder to accidentally turn it on... You're right though... Better to be safer.
Sure! Here goes a link to my original mayo video. The video description has all the ingredients and measurements in it. ruclips.net/video/Hnq7QhIN14c/видео.html
My immersion blender broke down when I made smoothie out of frozen fruit. The plastic connection between the head and the motor literally melted. Now trying to find something where it's made out of metal.
I'll have to look into that and see if I can find anything for ya. I've never tried using immersion for something like that, but I can see why you'd want to for sure!
Probably... I wouldn't recomment it though. The blade has a shrowd over it, but I always worry that it might catch somehow, and then you'd have glass shards flying around.
That mayo recipe - it's driving me crazy. I made it once, didn't work. Next two times I tried it worked perfectly. I haven't been able to make it since and gave up. Wasted 2 containers of avocado oil. Tried plain vegetable oil and that didn't work either. What am I doing wrong? Everything was at room temperature.
@@JoesPhenomenal Just a thin mess with oil on top and throughout. I made mayo twice and it turned out fine, but after that, no luck. I've tried adding an egg and that worked once, but only once. I've tried with 2 different blenders. Just can't figure it out.
@jjbud3124 hmm... Kinda sound like too much oil.. Are you using vinegar in it? Here goes a video I made with a slightly different recipe. If you look in the video description, you can see the exact measurements of everything I used. Might help. ruclips.net/video/Hnq7QhIN14c/видео.html. It's a little difficult efferent than the one for this video with a little less oil. Might have better luck
@@parttimecruisers3884 LOL... had to reshoot last night at 10:30. Stayed up to edit.... I was already using the calendar method they were talking about today, so I couldn't miss my upload schedule. Thanks for the Kind words!
They have tiny blades on them and they aren't really designed for that. I haven't tried that before, but I have a feeling it wouldn't do that very well, especially if you have larger ice cubes.
This one has a cord on it, but if I replaced it, I would go cordless. A little less powerful, but the cord can get in the way quite a bit.... Might not be as big of a deal to other people though... With the cordless, you always have remember to charge it.
You can... You would want to use the lowest setting on that and make sure the tip of the immersion blender is just barely submerged with part of it out of the milk.
The entire shaft part of the Cuisinart pops off for cleaning and has a seal on it so nothing gets in there... Typically you don't get too much up close to the top anyways, but it works nice.. I've never gotten anything up there on mine, so maybe the design is just better?

Hi, Chutiagirl. Thanks for the kind words! Here goes my mayo video. All the measurements are in the video description also. I haven't tried pouring the oil in slowly like that, but the results have always been good for me. ruclips.net/video/Hnq7QhIN14c/видео.html.
I love you, I just got mine and I'M GONNA USE IT Beautiful tutilige
Thanks Teddy!

Corn chowder sounds great right now
I've got a Braun immersion blender that I've probably had for 20 years - I love it! Nice Family Guy cutaway
LOL...Thanks!
Thank you. Your video is very informative. I appreciate it.
Hey. Thanks! Appreciate ya!
I'm thinking of buying a stick blender and you're definitely pushing me towards the purchase 🙂
Thanks!
Once you make your own whipped, you'll never buy it again... It tastes so much better.
hey chef, what a great info, and really good mayo recipe, so now mayo won't split. also this blender is so easy to clean. all the best for 1k
Hey! Thank you! Yeah... Cleanup is way easy on that... Just have to be careful around the blade... It's very sharp.
My mother in law just gifted me one. Best. Gift. Ever.
They're great, aren't they?
As someone who doesn't cook much, and is just researching immersion blenders, I never knew that mayonnaise is just SOLID OIL, like holy shit.
Yep... it's basically eggs and oil for the most part. Makes sense when you look at how many calories and fat you end up getting in a tbsp, doesn't it? When I started dropping weight, the first thing I did was stop drinking regular soda and I skipped the mayo on my burgers. Those 2 things made a massive difference without changing anything else.
Ok...subscribed. Thank you!
Thanks for the sub!
Adding this to my list of kitchen gadgets. 🤗🤗
You're gonna that thing. They're fun.
@@JoesPhenomenal I can't wait! My latest two gadgets are a mandolin and a spice grinder. I love them so much! They are fun too!
@@angelictigerette You can blend and write a song at the same time! Epic!
Thanks for the great demo!
You're welcome, Susie!
65 years old and just bought my first stick blender. Mine is 800W. Have you compared wattages as to what is the best?
Not a ton, but I've tested the Cuisinart in the video, the Ninja one, and also a KitchenAid, and they all had different power ratings. As far as what I was doing, they all did a nice job.
Love these. Step it up!
Oh yes, loved this, especially the mayonnaise part. Btw, how long do home made mayonnaises last in the fridge? Same as the store bought ones?
The store bought ones have preservatives and stuff in them... I've had this in the fridge for about a week before, but I wouldn't go much longer that that. Also if you want to be extra safe, use pasteurized eggs if ya can.
Why u didn’t try to make nuts butter ?
That would have been a great idea. I didn't even think of it. I'll have to do that right away. Thanks!
I have one, that I barely use. But I'm going to start, because of your video.🙂
Yay! You're gonna love it.
@@JoesPhenomenal 👍🏾
Can we use the blender without the whisk to make buttercream frosting? Cause I don’t have the whisk!
With that, it won't be very fluffy since you need to whip a lot of air into it.
we have one of these at home but Ive never used it. might try it to finish off the mash potatoes next time! thanks for the advice!
Yep! Turn that into some nice potato puree! I have a short on that also.
a year late but...I had a thunderstick blender for years that came apart, it finally broke and I could NOT find it any more to replace it. I finally found a Baymix brand and this one, whilst it does not come apart, has three 'blades' with it. one for chopping (more like the shape of the blades in a regular processor but smaller) and two discs one for whipping and one for beating I also brought a meat blade (like the sharp one on your blender) you can also get grinders and a 'processor' attachment but these have shot up in price and I'm not totally convinced they are needed (but I guess handy to have if you have spare cash)
the baymix has two speeds but with the right disc on it can whip cold milk into a foam to use as a dessert or to top coffee or as a whipped cream alternative.
Nice! Will have to look into those.
I got.mine a.year ago. use it.for.mashing.potatos.awesome.smooth.Also, unsweetened.apple.sauce.with leaving skin on.Fast and nutritious. Never will buy apple sauce in stores or mayo ever again. Handy gaget
Very nice!
just bought one waiting to see more recipes that you use it for !!❤
More to come! I better move my butt!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
You got it.
I have a question for you. Do you think this immersion blender will stir fudge as the final step after cooking instead of the common method of using a wooden spoon?
I think it can do it, but it's pretty thick, so it might burn the motor up on something like that.
@@JoesPhenomenal Thanks for taking the time to respond. That's what I was afraid of too, and wooden spoons are a lot cheaper than a stick blender.
@fraternaltv definitely!
Thx. I have an older red kitchen aid, no wisk which I wish I could buy that extra attachment.
Hmm... maybe someone has one on Ebay?
@@JoesPhenomenal perhaps. I'm just not even sure if attachments work with this model. I'll look into it. Thx again. Keep up great content. 👍
I'm heeeere! Thanks for sharing. I'll be back. Good content. I think I'd prefer to have an immersion blender over the regular blender. I am thinking that the clean up process is much easier as well. Under $30 sounds like a good deal.
Yeag.. they can be cumbersome.. but clean is a breeze... you're right!
@@JoesPhenomenal I will invest in one in the future. Have a great weekend!
@@NMCsWorld you too!
I bout mine at Costco can’t wait to use it for Thanksgiving dinner!
Sweet! Whatcha gonna use it for?
Do you think cranberry sauce would work? Maybe with some orange zest or something festive added in? Could maybe make a yummy egg nog too. Always wanted to learn how to do that:)
@Maria_02779 yes... That will work. With the eggnog too. It's gonna bake it really smooth though, so if you like chunky cranberry sauce, you just want to pulse it a little.
@@JoesPhenomenal I like both, so that's totally fine with me. Just found your egg nog video this morning too. Very excited to try both now. Thank you so much. Take care:)

I had to use my Vitamix for that frozen smoothie
Do you attach the Blender to an electric socket whiles you immense the into liquid source 😉 😜?
As long as you don't do that the other way around...lol. But seriously, it has shielding in the handle that's SUPPOSED to protect you from that.... Not dead yet, so it must be working!
What model is this? If you had a link for it, I would buy it.
There is a link to it on amazon in the video description. Here is goes, so you don't have to dig around in there: amzn.to/3Kl4BZ0
I guess it's like a knife sharp blades does good work. I bought one from Lego for 10 dollars used I love it.
Wow so amazing my friend. Please stay safe always and stay connected
Thanks! Appreciate you!
How do you switch from the whipper to the frother?
Can get one out to put the other one in 🤪
On mine there is a button on the side to release it.
I got one my sister bought it for me for Christmas but I haven't used it yet
Cool! Let me know how ya like it!
Use mine for blending the oil into natural peanut butter.
That's a really great use for it, too!
Is it possible to make a frozen margarita with my Braun 9199xl?
Should be able to. I wouldn't run the speed too high though or you might liquify it a little too much
you make it look easy (the mayonaise), but when i try it it doesn't work, after a few minutes of whipping the mixture is getting warm but still not emulsifying :(
That's odd..... are you letting the eggs sit out a bit?
Will have to measure that and get back to ya.
Great info 😁
Glad you think so!
Great video, chef! Thanks for the recipes! Fellow 1k challenge member and new sub
Thanks crux! Gonna have to go check you out today!
@@JoesPhenomenal Yea for sure, that would be great!
Please Recommend me the good brand for Immersion Blender , thanks
Cuisinart, ninja, and kitchen aid all make nice ones... Even Vitamix has one.
Regarding the recipe for mayonnaise… is it safe to use uncooked egg? I just purchased one am excited to start using it.

This same one you can find at Costco currently .
I just got an immersion blender by Mueller online for $40. Game changing!!
It is! Love it.
Can you make a green smoothie with a hand blender?
You can, but it suppose it depends on the texture that you want to get out of it. Immersion blenders make everything really smooth and creamy. Not always the best for everything.
1:10 wow this guy actually touched the blades with the unit plugged in 😂
I live on the wild side. 😉. But seriously, that Cuisinart model can't be turned on unless you're holding the power button in and the buttons sit flush so it's a lot harder to accidentally turn it on... You're right though... Better to be safer.
@@JoesPhenomenalit's just me, I am super paranoid.
@RajinderYadav I can relate... Haha
Can I make a request? Could you try to put the fruits in a small metal strainer and use it to directly make fruit juice strained and ready to drink? 😅
Can you review Cordless models?
Sure..I'll see if I can get someone to send one out. Been curious about the power difference on those ones.
Do you have the exact measurements for the mayonnaise?

My immersion blender broke down when I made smoothie out of frozen fruit. The plastic connection between the head and the motor literally melted. Now trying to find something where it's made out of metal.
I'll have to look into that and see if I can find anything for ya. I've never tried using immersion for something like that, but I can see why you'd want to for sure!
Can it be used in a glass cup?
Probably... I wouldn't recomment it though. The blade has a shrowd over it, but I always worry that it might catch somehow, and then you'd have glass shards flying around.
Unbelievably easy and I won’t buy mayo ever again you’re right thank you
Glad to help!!
lol my man put the smoothie in a wine glass 😆
Those berries were front a very good year! lol
What's it look like when it gets messed up?
Can it crush/blend ice?
They have tiny blades on them and they aren't really designed for that. I haven't tried that before, but I have a feeling it wouldn't do that very well, especially if you have larger ice cubes.
It’s better a cordless or corded ?
This one has a cord on it, but if I replaced it, I would go cordless. A little less powerful, but the cord can get in the way quite a bit.... Might not be as big of a deal to other people though... With the cordless, you always have remember to charge it.
Can you use this as a milk frother?
You can... You would want to use the lowest setting on that and make sure the tip of the immersion blender is just barely submerged with part of it out of the milk.
I want to make my own mayo, but is it safe to eat?
If you're using raw eggs, you're fine if you use pastuerized eggs. Most of the time they are already, but you can check with your grocer.
Thanks
You're welcome
I love the BEAUTIFUL 🇺🇸
The cusinart does food get up into shaft?? I had a really cheap aldi one. It held food into shaft and rusted!!
The entire shaft part of the Cuisinart pops off for cleaning and has a seal on it so nothing gets in there... Typically you don't get too much up close to the top anyways, but it works nice.. I've never gotten anything up there on mine, so maybe the design is just better?
@@lianamatchak9652 yuck... That's not good at all. I Haven't had any problems with this one like that just yet Thank goodness.
