- Welcome everyone.
Today we are in Niagara On The Lake exploring two popular wineries.
The first one we stop at is Trius Winery located on Niagara Stone Rd. We walk the grounds and explore the wine shop.
Iconic. Inspired. Innovative. Trius burst onto the international wine scene when the 1991 Trius Red became the first Canadian wine vintage to be recognized as the Best Red Wine in the World and has continued to raise the bar for Canadian winemaking excellence and winery experiences ever since.
Next and final stop is at Wayne Gretzky’s Estate Winery. We first explore the grounds and then head inside for a look around.
In the spring of 2017, passionate wine enthusiasts, whisky aficionados and hockey fans gathered to celebrate the opening of the all-new Wayne Gretzky Estates Winery and Distillery in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake wine country. The 23,000-square foot facility nestled amongst the grapevines is the first combined winery and distillery in Ontario and another shining example of the great things that happen when The Great One is leading the team.
Both offer tours and both have wine you can enjoy on the premises.

Thank you for sharing your live there in NOTL. Loved the winery tour of Wayne Gretzkys. Have only drove by there however never took time to go into the facility. We enjoyed in full, the Winery tours, Christine. One by Hockey's greatest player! Both were beautiful and quite unique. Nice merchandise and of course the 🍷🍷& whiskey! Never knew that much about Tim Horton either. Thanks for bringing us along.

I'm sorry I didn't stay longer in the chat. I didn't even realize until today how close the 2 wineries were to each other! Some of the prices are crazy but I'm not a wine drinker really. It's funny we both have our usual Saturday drives lol. The Gretzky winery looks amazing. They should put a little hotel at the Gretzky winery, they have the skating rink (in the winter) the drinks, add a restaurant then you have a little resort. My parents used to flood the backyard for me to skate lol Crazy he was #99 and retired in 1999. This place is huge! Great live! Thanks for sharing!! 2 places I've never been!
Hi Adam. Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed it. No worries at all for not staying long, We all have lives. Wayne Gretzky wines seemed reasonable compared to the other winery. Maybe those are plans in the future for the winery? …a hotel ? I like both wineries..they have a nice atmosphere and in summer I know they are both really busy.
