I got out of reading superhero comics a while ago; basically they'd all started to get a bit samey and I moved on. Then I picked up the Rebirth TPBs where pre-52 Supes gets reintroduced with his family and there was something new that I hadn't seen before that grabbed my attention - the addition of a kid who just coming into his powers. The changes that made to the Clark & Lois dynamic, the interactions Jon had with Damian & other characters - it was all genuinely interesting and was producing comics I was interested in. And then that all got thrown in the bin just so Bendis could do a relaunch of LoSH that nobody was demanding? Here's hoping Jon just wakes up one morning, going "I had the strangest dream. You were there, and you were there..."

Superman: Lois and Clark was the reason why I came back to reading Superman comics. Bendis is the reason I left again. Lois and Clark are awful parents now and there is nothing I can do about it, except not buy this comic. Hopefully comic sales tank and they just reboot this, as much as it pains me to want another retcon.

Wait, Superman's kid is tortured by people who look exactly like his parents and that has no effect on his mind? That could seriously warp any mind and the effects could be catastrophic. Did Bendis deal with that?

Ya know, if the next person that comes after Bendis just straight up says "I'm treating most of what Bendis did, non-canon" This means no John running of into space, Lois doesn't abandon her son to go write a book, and hides from her husband, who strangely accepts her bs not-excuses, and the wonderful family dynamic remains, along with all the stories with Damien...I wouldn't not have an issue with it. They don't need to retcon it, or do some event, hell, just have Mixy snap his fingers if they need to.
