And then, I realised that the main difference between Ibrahim and Hurrem, was that Ibrahim was thinking of his friend's happiness and Hurrem was thinking of the state matters. But, at that era, women hadn't the right to occupy themselves with the state matters, this was job for men.

Ok, taking the Valide's room while Hafsa's body is not cold yet, was pretty insensitive,but necessary. It would show everyone who's got the power and that she wouldn't stop at anything. Ok, taking the Valide's room while Hafsa's body is not cold yet, was pretty insensitive,but necessary. It would show everyone who's got the power and that she wouldn't stop at anything. It would enforce her Haseki position. But I get why Hatice was mad. This reason is more valid than "she told about the affair and ruined my marriage". Hatice found it disrespectful for her mother's memory, so it was valid,but blaming her for Ibrahim's cheating was nonsense.

You see that's why I didn't like so much the character of Hurrem. She want to broke the rules only for her own interest but not for the others victims of this system especially the womens ( yes I remember Efsun, she didn't follow the tradition too and Hurrem told that to Hafsa and we all know all the tragic consequences for this poor Efsun) , we will have other examples after. She only using the system of her own advantage and can even use it not only against who make her suffer ( Mahidevran,Hafsa, Ibrahim,etc...) but against other innocent people too ( Gulnihal,Efsun,Nadia)... Even her successor Nurbanu was an accident for her ( and so the Sultanate of Women for others womens even if she was the creator of this system, I think she was thinking she was the only women to have this privilege for a long time but I can be wrong as she was thinking that unlike Hafsa concubine have to be smart) ...
Hurrem, with all due respect, you heard Suleiman's command. The chamber is to remain empty out of respect for his late mother. At least until he gets pass his grief.

Hurrem deserved that slap, because always she forgots to who people she is speaking. And all the sufferings she bore, had happened, because she deserved them. Because according to her behaviour, these bad things had happened to her. Because of her arrogance, she experienced all this suffering, all this humiliation, all this threats and punishments. She bore punishments, because she never was bound the head and follow them. That's why she lost her children one by one. And maybe Mehmet didn't understand that his mother was evil, arrogant and greedy, but Beyazid did, althought he had an alliance at the years to come. When I saw these episodes, I understood why Hurrem experienced all these sufferings. It was all because of her ego. But evil people get their punishment too.
