      Thank you, it is really a good machine and ideal size to keep in the van…which means I’ve always got the opportunity to complete an ad hoc job.

    Gutter vacs are a sound investment and sky vac in particular are good value. When my vac broke I've hired the sky vac from a friend at £40 per day, grouped my jobs and still make a profit...useful for guys starting out with poor credit etc. Great vid hope to see more

    You are right, always fully extend the extension reel as eddy currents build up and heat the coil of cable and won't pull more current so won't blow a fuse!!! The heat builds and will eventually cause a fire!!!! Will be great to see you using the gutter vac. How do you find your arms coping with the vac?

      Thanks, it’s the important to know this stuff.
      I have a big gutter clear tomorrow so I’ll try and grab some footage.
      To be honest at first it was a real strain, but just like anything…your body adjusts and adapts.

      Thank you for your comment, always do you research, see what others are charging in your area and how much of a demand there is.
      Perhaps ask your existing customers if they would be interested in an annual gutter clear for X amount.
      This will help you guide your decision

    Do you have a source of power for the sky vac just incase the customer isnt in or cant get you external power?

    • @seeitcleanltd-aylesbury
      @seeitcleanltd-aylesbury  8 месяцев назад +1

      Previously we would use the customers power supply, however last year we decided to invest to in two petrol generators…this way we can turn up, clear the gutters without needing for the customer to be home.

    • @seeitcleanltd-aylesbury
      @seeitcleanltd-aylesbury  2 года назад +1

      To be honest I cant comment on the camera as I opted for a Go Pro Hero 7 which I got off ebay for £150 then attached it to my WFP. Yes at first it was a bit awkward, but you get used to it

    I was looking into these thanks for the video - I’m wondering how you quote for these jobs do you have fixed pricing or do you go out and quote individually, how long would it take you to clear out you standard average 3 bed semi?

    • @seeitcleanltd-aylesbury
      @seeitcleanltd-aylesbury  2 года назад +1

      Thanks, I have a min gutter charge of £40, I offer potential customers an inspection via camera and then work out the price based the amount that needs clearing out.
      3 bed semi would typically take about 45mims providing access is good.
      I always take photos before and the after to show the customer, this way it helps to trust that I’ve done the job.

    • @seeitcleanltd-aylesbury
      @seeitcleanltd-aylesbury  2 года назад

      It works perfectly aslong as the filters are cleaned regularly.
      We also have the gutter vacuum Systems panther and the hose is slightly thinner in diameter which does make a big difference.

    There all good until the tiles are too close to the guttering, thick grass in the guttering or cement work in the guttering.
    If you can always do it by hand especially swan necks as this equipment can leave cement lodged in the downpipe still!

    • @seeitcleanltd-aylesbury
      @seeitcleanltd-aylesbury  8 месяцев назад

      Unfortunately there will be times where you will need a ladder to be able to remove something or reconnect a downpipe, but 90% of the time you can clear the gutters on most properties without any issues.
      We use a go pro on the end of the window cleaning pole to inspect them before and after to ensure have done what we said to the customer.

    and another question is do you advertise your service anywere ?

    • @seeitcleanltd-aylesbury
      @seeitcleanltd-aylesbury  2 года назад

      Yes 100%,
      Every business needs to market their products / services and also to build your brand awareness.
      Currently we use organic Facebook and Instagram to drive leads to our website along with a very small budget on google ppc.
      Offline, we use leaflets and also paying to advertise in the local magazines.

    do you power the vac from your vehicle or the propperty ur cleaning??

    • @seeitcleanltd-aylesbury
      @seeitcleanltd-aylesbury  2 года назад +1

      You could use a generator to power it, but we always use the customers electricity, we also advise this at the quote / inspection stage.

  • @andyd2033

    On average how many times a week do you use it??

    • @seeitcleanltd-aylesbury
      @seeitcleanltd-aylesbury  2 года назад +1

      It’s hard to say, but at the moment I have 4 jobs booked in between know and the end of the month. Sometimes I have nothing for a few weeks and then all of a sudden a get a few bookings back to back.
      But the jobs I’ve got booked are all Gutter clear and clean, Fascias and soffits plus windows.
      My thinking is that if I didn’t offer gutter clearing, I might not have had the opportunity for the other jobs, but who knows.
