    Milenco covers didn’t protect the nearside mirror on our Transit when I clobbered a wall on a narrow lane in the Lake District. Required an expensive OEM replacement mirror. I fitted Mirror Guard covers on our next van (Ducato based), and the offside one withstood a very hard impact from a bus in Scotland with only scratches. They're lined with shock absorbing foam, and in my view far superior to the Milenco ones. Admittedly they’re much more expensive than Milenco, but cheaper than having to replace the entire mirror

    Well worth it. Best version I've found and makes the mirrors more visible to oncoming traffic.

    We think they are a brilliant idea. Fitted well, and Son in Law sprayed ours silver to match the silver accent around the front grill of our Bessacarr, so they look smart too. 👍🏻

      Even if they just keep the scratches off from branches down narrow country lanes , ideal ! Thanks for watching the video 👍

    Definitely worth it.. we’ve had scrapes on ours and when getting on the open train in Switzerland they saved a massive expense! We need to purchase new ones now, but may get the mirror guard as others have mentioned 🚐👍🏼😃 Helpful review.. looking great 👍🏼 Michelle and Andy

    Just had my mirror damaged by a truck going in the opposite direction on a narrow road. I had Milenco protectors but although the mirror remained functional the mirror casing was cracked. I ordered a new unit for £57 and although not a genuine Fiat part it’s a perfect match to the untrained eye, still electric with heated function like the original. This replacement was cheaper than the Milenco covers, and it arrived next day. The Milenco covers are not worth the investment in my opinion.

      the other mirror protector company (mirror guard) are even more expensive but apparently a lot better , but great if you have found a cheaper alternative, prices for everything are sky rocketing its becoming a joke , More CL’s / CS’s for us this summer i’m afraid !

    My research said milenco were quite flimsy and thin but priced accordingly, we’ve gone for mirror guard instead, expensive yes but seem way better.

    We had an encounter in Scotland and there is no way that these would of prevented the damage to the side of our motorhome. We messaged the Company and they said that their product would not of saved the damage. We are not saying that they will not protect the scrapes and everyday knocks on journeys but so far our experience has saved our money. Thanks Mike for sharing this video

    • @TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel
      @TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel  3 года назад +1

      I’d say they are sufficient enough for saving mirrors from getting scratched up or light damage possibly , but definitely not from a proper impact or down the side of a van , we could honestly do with wider roads and bigger parking areas , we must live in the worst country for Motorhome friendliness 😬 thanks for watching 👍
